Jax's POV

I walk downstairs after I finished getting ready.
"You want to go to the park?" I ask him, "it'll be just like old times." I smile warmly at him. His face lights up with happiness.
"Of course!" he exclaims. He pushes me out of my house and down to the park. He's so happy that I asked him to come here, even though we were here yesterday. "I bet I can swing higher than you!" He sprints to one of the swings.
"Oh no you can't!" I yell at him. I hop on to one of the swings next to him and start pumping my legs as hard as I could. He looks like he was doing the same thing as me. We both reached the point right before you flip right over the bar.
"I bet I could flip both me and the swing over the bar before you can!" he exclaims. I give him a 'you're on' look. We both start pushing ourselves to the limit to get the swing over the bar. I start to tire out, but he keeps trying. "Wait, this isn't possible." He laughs at our silly mistake. We still swing as high as we possibly can. "I bet I can jump the farthest."
"No, I can totally jump farther than you!" I declare, "ready?" He nods. "Three. Two. One." We both jump off. He goes face first into a metal slide, while I go face first into one of the metal poles. He went farther by a foot. My right cheek is going to be swollen because of a children's playground. He looks over at me and smiles. His nose is bleeding from hitting the slide, but other than that he looks fine.
"Looks like I won," he declares happily. His happiness turns into curiosity. "Do you remember our friendship?" I shake my head. I really don't, but I wish I did. The curiosity turned into sorrow. "I should have known." He looks down at the ground. A tear hits the ground, along with some blood from his nose.
"Look, I know it meant a lot to you, but we are friends again, which is better than not being friends. Look at what we have now, not what we used to have," I tell him. He looks at me and smiles.
"You always know how to cheer someone up," he says. He looks into eyes and his smile grows bigger. He looks away from me and the back into my eyes.
"Do you know what my shirt is made of? Boyfriend material!" a familiar voice says. I look over to see Jeremy, Josh, and Jason all standing there. I sigh at Jeremy's stupid pickup line.
"No, it's not," I say. I look over to where Christopher was. He wasn't there anymore. I look back over at the trio of boys, one of them is missing. Well the redhead is missing. I scan the playground to see Jason helping Christopher out with his bloody nose.
"What happened anyway?" Josh asks me.
"We jumped off of the swings," I answer. Josh starts cracking up.
"He got a bloody nose from jumping off a swing," he repeats me.
"We have a big problem!" Jason yells. Well turn to him. "I think his nose is broken."
"That's not even that bad," Christopher says. His nose is gushing blood like a waterfall. It was getting really bad. "I think I'm just going to go home." Christopher gets up and starts walking out of the park. Jason follows him.
"He'll be fine, right?" I ask the remaining boys. Both of them nod. "I hope you're right."
"Well, I'm going to go with them, because I can," Josh says, while running after his other friends.
"Wait, don't leave me with him," I whin.
"Your body is 65% water and I'm thirsty," he says, while winking at me. I shake my head and start to run home. I have no clue where the others went, but I'm not staying with Jeremy. He starts chasing after me.
"You know what, why don't you come over for a bit?" I offer. His face lights up with joy.
"Really?" he asks. I nod. We get to my house and sit at my table and talk for a couple hours. He checks his phone and gets up from the table. "Um, h-hey w-would you be m-my g-girlfriend?"
