Coldness
Christopher's POV
"So, they just left?" I ask her in a confused manor. She nods and makes a 'mmmmhmmmm' noise. "I guess I'll be going then. Well call me if you need anything or this happens again, okay?" She nods again. I open up the window, again and climb out. I stand on the roof for a second. I start walk over to the area where I can climb down. I slip and slid off of the roof. I black out instantly when I hit the ground.
I wake up. I'm not on the ground anymore. I'm not even outside her house. I sit up and a sharp pain courses through my body. I get myself to get all the way up and my head starts to throb. I try to ignore the pain as much as possible, but it's almost impossible to ignore. I look around the room. Each time I turn my head the throbbing gets worse for a second. The room is very dark, but I can make out a closed window a side table, and other shadows. The door creaks open, which startles me.
"Good, you're awake," a harsh male voice says. He flips the light switch. I close my eyes, since I'm used to the darkness. I reopen my eyes to view the room around me and the man.
The man is bleach blonde. Like Draco Malfoy colored hair, but even lighter. He has all black on. He has a black dress shirt and black dress coat on over it. He has a black tie on to match the dress shirt and jacket. He wore black dress pants and a black belt. His socks and dress shoes were also black. It was like the guy couldn't wear any other color. He was tall. Probably around six foot tall. His hair was styled just like seventh year Draco Malfoy's. It was like that's who he wished to be. His eyes were a darker grey color, which really stood out with against clothing. He smiles at me. It was a warm smile, but it had coldness draped on top of it.
The room was covered in dark grey paint. The bedding was black and grey. The floor was carpeted with grey carpet. It was kind of creepy. There wasn't that much color in the room at all. The side table was made out of dark oak and was polished very well. There was a closet door, which was also dark oak. The door was closed, so I couldn't see what was inside. In one of the corners was a dark oak desk with a matching chair. The curtains were black. That was all except for an outlet on one of the walls.
"Where am I?" I ask worriedly. He lets out a slit chuckle. "I'm not kidding, where am I?"
"Oh how rude of me, I'm Lestat River. Jax River's father," he says his voice still harsh and cold, "listen Christopher, I like you as a person, but climbing through my daughter's window is unexceptable. Please use the front door next time." I remember him. He was always cold, but he was a little sweet. His wife was sweet, but a little cold. They were perfect for each other. "I called your parents already and told them that you were going to stay here for the night."
"Oh, thank you," I say. He smiles and leaves the room. I sit and stare at the ceiling. The door creaks open again, but then shuts. I don't look over at it, because it was probably someone shutting the door for me. Weight is out on the right side of the bed. I sit up to see Jax sitting there. She is in all black pajamas. Her cheek is purple and looks swollen. Her neck has a bruise on it as well. "Hey, are you okay?" She turns to me. Her eyes are bloodshot and it looks like she has been crying.
"I'm okay," she answers. It sounded like she was lying. I could tell that she was lying. "You need to leave."
Jax's POV
"Why?" he asks angrily. I sigh at his question.
"You shouldn't be here," I tell him. He gives me a confused expression.
"What are you talking about?" he spits. I get up and head to the door.
"Nevermind, goodnight," I say. I leave the room and shut the door behind me. I make my way through the dark hallway. Someone grabs me and shoves me into my room. I shut my eyes as I get thrown in. The gets slammed and I reopen my eyes. No one is there. I walk through my dark room and climb into bed. I curl up. I start texting the unknown person. I decided to name their contact 'Unknown'.
J: Hey, you awake?
U: Yup. What do you need? Anything you want, I'll grant it.
J: I just want my friend to be safe.
U: I can only do that by coming into your house, would you be okay with that?
J: Yeah, as long as he is safe.
U: He'll be safe. Is that all you need?
J: Yeah.
U: Well I'll keep him safe, don't worry.
J: Goodnight.
U: Goodnight, princess.
J: Princess?
They leave it on read. What ever. Being called princess is a little strange, but I might have to get used to it, if that person keeps calling me that. I'm glad that Christopher will be safe though. Even if that unknown person has to be inside of my house.
"Please, whoever you are, keep him safe," I whisper in the crisp cold darkness.
