Black Gloves

Christopher's POV

I stare at my shaking hands. I just murdered Toby. My knees give out and I fall to the ground. Tears burst out of my eyes. I just killed one of my friends. Pain pulses through my head.
"Stop that," someone demands, "I'll help you out." The voice is sweet and caring, but it still has coldness lingering within it. A tall man walks out of my back wall. He has all black on. He even has black gloves on. The only part that has skin on it is his face, which is only a little visible. I can only see his mouth. He pulls the knife out of Toby's head. I stare at the man. "Look, I don't normally show up in front of people, but I've already met you, do it doesn't matter. Anyway, I'll get rid of the body. You just need to clean up. Your friend ill be out of the bathroom soon, so I'd clean up fast." I nod and head upstairs to grab the cleaning stuff. I open the hall closet door and grab a bucket and rag. Quickly, I sprint back downstairs. The man and Toby are gone. The knife is laying in a small puddle of blood. Beside the puddle is a note that reads: 'Just clean the knife and put it away. Next clean up the puddle. If Jax comes upstairs tell her you spilled something. Burn this note.' I put the note into my pocket, so I can get rid of it later. I sigh and do as the note says. I finish and sit down. Right when I sit down Jax runs up the stairs and sits across from me.
"Christopher," she questions, "where's Toby?" I stare at her. I didn't think of what to tell her when this time came. I had to make up something, but it can't be bullshit or else she'll get suspicious.
"He went to see what's taking Jason and Josh so long," I answer. I mentally high five myself.
"But why is there a bucket and rag on floor?" she questions. She points to the bucket behind me. Crap.
"I spilled something," I lie. She looks like she believes me. I hope she does. Who was that guy though? He said he's already met me, but where? I think about it or a moment. Oh, he saved me from that thing last time. If he was here then why didn't he save me again? Did he know that I was going to kill him or did he know that I wouldn't get hurt. My phone starts buzzing, which indicates that I am getting a call. I answer it. "Hello?"
"Toby was just found dead!" Jason's panicked voice tells me, "we found him dead on the sidewalk. He was murdered!" I can hear him starting to cry. Jason is innocent. He shouldn't be shown a dead body in person. Well, nobody should, but especially him.
"Jason," I say, but can'r finish my sentence, since Jason hung up the phone. I just hope Josh can calm him down.
"What happened?" Jax curiously asks. I look at her dead in the eyes.
"Someone murdered Toby," I tell her. Her face looks horrified. "I should have went with him." I slam my fist against the table. It wouldn't of changed anything. He'd still be dead, because of me. The guilt starts flowing throughout my body.
"I think I know who murdered him," she mumbles. I couldn't hear what she said, so I just look down at the table. "Unknown!"
"What?" the voice from earlier says from one of the walls.
"Do you know what happened to Toby?" she asks him. I swallow in fear. He might tell her. Wait, she knows he's here?
"Nope," he answers. She doesn't look convinced.
"You killed him, didn't you?" she accuses. He laughs.
"You caught me, but he was dangerous, so I had to," he tells her. I look at them with a confused look.
"Oh, this is Unknown. He refuses to tell me his name, so I call him Unknown. He saved you once, so he probably won't hurt you," she says.
"Yeah, I'll never hurt you," he says.
    "I have a question," I say.
"Go for it," he tells me. I gulp.
"How did you kill the monster last time?" I ask. The unknown man laughs.
"I didn't kill the monster. I just made it disappear for the moment, but I just used a strong flashlight. Nothing else," he tells me, "anyway, I should be getting Jax home, so goodbye." I wave at the wall. She gets up and heads for the door.
"Bye, Christopher," she says. She leaves the house. I head to my room. I'll tell her someday, but not today. School is going to be fun on Monday though. More stuff about dead people and how we need to stay safe.

(A/n) Sorry about the boring chapter. I hope you liked it anyway. Have a good day. Cya. ~Tiny
