Chapter 14 - If Need Be

Music - Sexxx Dreams by Mother Monster

---

Todd

I stared at my wristwatch and checked the time. It was almost nine o'clock and Gray had not yet arrived. I was sitting on the front porch when dad went out in his pajamas and decided to sit beside me.

"Where you up to?" He asked.

"I'll be sleeping over at Hollie's," I said. "We have to finish a project for our chemistry class."

My dad chuckled and when I looked at him, he was shaking his head, a sly grin was plastered on his face. He then inspected what I was wearing and said, "Let me see, you have no glasses on, pompadour hair...well, that's a lotta hair gel. A dress shirt and a pair of slacks..." He then made a loud sniff, making sure I heard it, then continued. "Hmm, what is that I smell? Oh, you wear perfume now, eh? You even grow a stubble for not shaving for a week!"

"Prove your straight As and at least be a little more creative with your excuses, my boy. You're too dressed for a sleepover." Dad tsked and I felt my heart skipped a beat. Mom and dad knew I hated growing my facial hair, but I figured, I had to look a little older just so the bouncers wouldn't be suspicious of my age. He tried to ruffle my hair - which was almost impossible because it was stiff from the hair gel - then continued, "When I was your age, I used to lie to your nana and pops too just so I could go out and see your mom, or just simply spend my Friday nights with my pals."

"Dad, please..." I sighed, preparing myself for his lecture.

"It was fun when I was the teen, now that I'm the dad, it kinda sucks." Dad smiled. "Look, I don't wanna be that boring dad who locks his kids inside the house. I enjoyed my high school and I want you to enjoy yours too."

"Aren't you even mad?" I asked and dad only shrugged.

"I am a little upset you lied, but I'm not mad." He said. "Just please, will you promise that wherever you're going, it's safe, and whatever you'll be doing, it's not illegal? You can have fun, but be responsible."

I nodded as I scratched the back of my neck. "I promise."

"Now, may I know where you're actually going?" He asked as he quirked his brow. "You're starting to look a lot like me with that stubble."

I didn't want to lie to him again, but I couldn't tell him Gray and I would be heading to a nightclub. It wasn't at all legal for me to go there because I was underage. "Gray and I will be going to the drive-in," I told him. "We uh...we got a date with these two girls from our English lit class."

"Well then, be home before twelve, okay?" He said. "You know what, I can be a boring dad if I had to. If you're not home before twelve, you're grounded."

By the time my dad went to his room, Gray arrived with his Range Rover. He rolled down the tinted mirror of his car and greeted me with that infectious smile he had. "Wow, you look different without your glasses on." He said. "Can you still see though?"

I rolled my eyes and went on to open the door of his car. I answered, "I'm wearing contacts."

"You look like you just got out of the office or something." He teased and I guess my plan did work.

"Well, that's actually what I was going for." I grinned as I strapped on my seatbelt. "I need to look a little older."

Gray chuckled as he pulled his wallet from his pocket. He said, "You are such a dork. The bouncers wouldn't even care as long as you show them your fake ID."

"Speaking of fake IDs, here," Gray took out from his wallet something that looked like a card and gave it to me. It was my fake ID. Apparently, I was Wyatt Roberts and I was twenty-two years old. When he said he was going to be giving me my own fake ID, I thought it would look tacky, but I was wrong. Hadn't my face be in the identification card, I wouldn't have been able to figure out it was fake. "Pretty nice, eh?"

"This is so well-made," I said as my eyes checked the card out in awe. "Where did you even get these?"

Gray smirked, "Connections." he then pulled out a wad of money from his wallet which was already secured in rubber bands. As he handed it to me, he said, "Save your money for the drinks. This one, it's for something special."

When he started the engine and began to drive, I went on to count the money. Two hundred and fifty dollars. "Oh my god, this is a lot." I did not save these past few days so I only had fifty dollars in my wallet. "Gray, this is such a waste of money."

"I don't care," He said. "if I get to be myself around people who wouldn't judge me for who I am, I'd spend more."

"How would you know? You haven't even come out yet." I told Gray and he just released a deep-breathed sigh. "Also, I need to be home before twelve. Please don't get wasted or else I'm gonna take a cab home."

He snickered. "I'll try."

"Anyway, I don't think I've already told you about this, but my birthday will be in three weeks, and I'll be celebrating it out of town, at our cabin," I said. "It's on the fifteenth, you should come."

"That's awesome, of course, I'd love to." He smiled as he grinned. He then asked,"Is there a lake nearby?"

"Nah, but there's this really cool pond just in front of the cabin," I said and he glanced at me for a second before returning his eyes on the road. "The beach is also not that far away. It's probably just a good fifteen-minute ride."

"Sounds like a great weekend."

"So, ROY G'BIV...why are you so eager to go to this club?" I asked.

He sighed and I noticed his grip on the steering wheel tightened. "Well, I'm gonna be honest with you, Hitcher," he started, making me feel anxious. "We're going to a strip club. That money I gave you? It's for the strippers..."

I scoffed and glared daggers at him but he didn't seem fazed as he was looking up the road "Aren't strip clubs illegal?" I asked him while I was trying to mentally calm myself. "Oh my god, how'd you even find out about this place?!"

"Relax, Hitcher. ROY G'BIV's not illegal," He laughed as he shook his head. "I heard about it on the radio during Cher's interview. She made a surprise performance there last year."

He continued, "Besides, don't tell me you're not even slightly excited about the strippers." He then ran his hand over my thigh in a playful and teasing manner, and said, "You love a little sleaze, you slut."

I rolled my eyes and brushed his hand off my thigh. "Excuse me, I am not a slut, I am a virgin," I told him. "I get sexually excited sometimes, so what? It's natural."

"Whatever, virgin slut."

When we finally entered the club, I sighed in relief after the bouncer inspected my ID and my face. It could be just my nerves, but it felt like he did a closer look on me than the other clubgoers.

It was a Friday night so I wasn't surprised by the number of people that were dancing or just grinding up against each other in the club. It didn't feel too crowded whatsoever as the establishment was spacious. I winced as my head throbbed with the bass of Britney Spears' Baby One More Time while strippers move their bodies upon the small elevated platforms.

Gray was right, the strippers would make me hate the club less. They were all just so pretty to look at. "I guess you're ri-" I turned around and didn't find Gray anywhere near me. I was the first one to get in the club and I thought he found me after he got in. That wasn't definitely the case now.

I groaned in annoyance and made my way to the bar to sit. The customers seemed to love dancing and watching the strippers more than drinking. There were only about eight people enjoying their drinks. Not wanting to feel left out and out of place, "Hey man," I called the bartender. I didn't really know how people order drinks in a bar since I had never been to one before, so I pointed my finger to the guys just a couple of seats away from me and said, "I wanna have what they're having."

When the bartender went on to make my drink, I pulled my phone from my pocket and began texting Gray.

To: Gray
I'm at the bar and I'm bored.

"Jim Beam on the rocks for the sexy stud." The bartender placed the glass in front of me. I looked up at him and he winked when we made eye contact. "That's bourbon, kid."

I sent him a sly smile and raised my glass while he returned to serve the other club goers.

Not feeling the place at all, I decided to take some of the alcohol in my system so I could loosen up. It tasted nothing like all the alcoholic beverages I had this past couple of weeks. While it left a burning sensation down my throat, it tasted a little like vanilla. I actually liked it.

I checked my phone and I grunted under my breath when I saw no reply from Gray. Wherever that bastard was, he must be having a lot of fun and forgot I was with him. I left a good portion of money on the table which I believed covered both the drink I ordered and the tip for the bartender and decided to leave and take a cab home.

I turned around and got off from the stool and began to make my way out as another song transitioned in the background. It was the Backstreet Boys' Everybody. The neon lights got more intense as different types of colors danced to the groovy beat of the 1997 pop song.

I noticed people circled around one of the empty elevated platforms on the right, just a couple of steps away from the entrance. Curious as to why people seemed to be looking forward to watching the next stripper, I decided to stay for a while to check it out.

The spotlight turned on, hitting the small stage, and an oiled up man dressed in nothing but a maroon vest and a black but glittery boxer briefs, stepped in as he danced to the rhythm of the overplayed track. I wasn't able to see his face as it was covered by a studded masquerade mask.

He flailed his arms up then delicately twirled his hands down and began to unbutton his vest as he walked near the pole. Whoever this guy was, I knew he looked stunning underneath the mask that was covering his entire face, excluding his plump lips that seemed familiar.

I decided to walk past the sea of people to get to the front of the stage as I was eager to get a closer look at the masked stripper. His hands were locked around the pole while his body was arched, making graceful waves, highlighting his chest and abdominal muscles that sparkled against the spotlight.

He finally took his vest off, exposing all the curves and crevices of his torso. It wasn't just the drink I had that reminded me of vanilla, his skin did too.

I found myself grooving to the beat of the music as I waited patiently for him to take his mask off. When he put his fingers on the sides of the mask, I grinned in anticipation as sweat beaded on my forehead from the warmth of the spotlight.

Or it could just be because of my excitement towards this stripper.

Slowly with intended and unsubtle seduction, he removed his mask and my eyes widened, losing the sense to blink, as my mouth hanged open in utter shock.

It was Tony.

When he looked in my direction, he caught a glimpse of me in my place as his smirk dropped for a couple of seconds before they returned when he turned his head towards the other side of the small circular stage. He wiggled his body to the audience as they stuffed cash on his skimpy outfit.

I had never imagined Tony to be working in a place that seemed so out of his character. Somehow, I liked the contrast between his melancholic and stiff personality and his job.

He kneeled on the floor and glided his body a couple of inches near where I was and said, "Go find a seat, give me ten minutes. We have to talk."

I sent him a mischievous smile as I took my wallet out of my pocket and pulled out fifty dollars from the money Gray gave me. I stuffed it on Tony's sparkling boxer briefs, near his buttocks, making him glare daggers at me. With a grin, I told him, "See you, I'll be near the bar."

•••

Tony promised ten minutes but it took me half an hour of waiting before he arrived at my table. I was just about to finish my second cocktail when he said, "Okay, what the fuck are you doing here?"

I raised my glass at him, "Cocktail?" I smiled and downed the liquid. I wiped my mouth with the sleeves of my shirt and continued, "same question, what in the world are you doing up there on that stage?"

Tony sighed and sat next to me. "Look, please don't tell Joanne that I-"

"You're gay?" I cut him off and he snickered as he rolled his eyes.

"Oh please, she knows." He said. "Please don't tell Joanne that I work here."

I nodded, making myself a little dizzy, probably because of the cocktails I just had. "I'll do that if you don't tell my parents and anyone I went here."

"Deal." Tony sighed in relief and stood up, preparing himself to leave.

"No deal yet though," I said and he stopped on his tracks as he groaned in annoyance. I smirked, "That, and give me a lapdance."

He scoffed and turned around to face me. "What the fuck, Todd?!" He questioned in disbelief and he continued, "I'm not going to do that to a seventeen-year-old."

"I'm eighteen in three weeks! come on, just two minutes, show me your moves." I teased him but I did want him to give me a lap dance. He shook his head and began to walk away. "I'm tutoring Joanne tomorrow!"

Tony turned around and returned to my table as he glared at me, his intense stare made him a lot sexier. "You conniving little shit."

"Little? You're shorter than me." I chuckled. I slouched on the couch and tapped my lap. "Come on, Tony, I'm a customer too, I'll pay."

With a sigh, Tony got on the couch, then positioned himself on my lap, and began dancing. His chest was only a couple of inches from my face. "I've never been to places like this before," I said as I felt the warmth of his bare torso and his hands that were gripped on my shoulders. "I think I might just become a regular."

"You do that and I'll tell the bouncer you're seventeen." He said and pulled away to look at me with a smirk. "So what brings you here?"

"A friend of mine forced me," I told him and decided to touch his back. "Am I allowed I do this?" His skin was smooth but his back muscles were firm.

"Sure, whatever." Tony dipped his ass on my crotch, grinding it in a circular motion, worsening my boner. "Dude, you get excited way too fast."

I shrugged and said, "Well I like what I see." I grinned when he looked away, his face a little redder than how it was seconds ago. "You see, this is so not what I thought of you."

"What do you mean?" He asked.

My hands traveled to his pecs, caressing them down to his hips. "I always see you as this very strict and conservative brother of Joanne." I told him, and added, "You don't smile a lot, you always have a poker face on. It's pretty nice to see this side of you."

"I have no idea you're actually observing me," Tony smirked as he took my hands and guided them on his shoulders. He put a little more of his body weight on me, making me want to buck my hips forward. He then leaned closer to my ear and whispered, "Well, I won't be getting any money if I'm like that here. I can be naughty if need be."

"I like naughty." I slid my hand down to his ass and slapped his butt cheek, making him glare at me. "What? Naughty boys deserve a spanking."

"You know what, you don't seem like the regular laid back, goody two shoe smartass I thought you are too." He said. He continued, "You're pretty bad."

I snickered as I studied his perfectly sculpted strong arms. They weren't bulging, just toned, just what I liked. I replied, "Well, I can be bad if need be." I leaned towards him, wanting to bury my head on his neck but he pushed me.

"That's against the rules, Todd." He said and got off me. "You really should try to control yourself a bit."

"I'm sorry." I apologized, suddenly feeling embarrassed by my actions.

"Don't worry, you're good, but your two minutes are over." He told me. "Remember our deal, alright? I don't want my sister to be finding out about this."

"Deal." I smiled. I pulled my wallet from my pocket and took out the remaining two hundred dollars from Gray and handed it to Tony.

"Also, please let this be your last time here." He squinted his eyes at me while he crossed his arms. When I nodded, he decided it was a signal for him to leave.

I heaved a sigh and relaxed on the couch as I went to check the messages on my phone. There were ten messages from Gray. I texted him where I was at and that I wanted to go home.

It would be lovely to replay what just happened in my dreams.

--- End of Chapter 13 ---

A/N - This took me a while to write. There's so much in the outline that I had to consider or revise so that Todd and Tony wouldn't be out of their characters too much. That's always a concern of mine whenever I write. Yes, I do have an outline as it helps me a lot to write faster and avoid plot holes. The past version of this story didn't have one and it was a mess.

The bar scene was so hard to write. I've never been to a club so I actually don't know how to order drinks. I had to trust mother Google for that. And while I consider myself a heavy drinker, my knowledge with alcoholic drinks is very limited. I only drink beer, vodka and brandy...since those are the only alcoholic beverages I can afford lol.

What do you think of this chapter? Does it feel random? I hope not lol.
