10 - On the Road to...Somewhere

10 – On the Road to...Somewhere

"So...where are we going?" Selina asked. Dean hadn't said where they were going, just that they needed to move. The body in the backseat was a hunter.

What if he's got friends and they're looking for him? Selina thought. It'd make sense as to why Dean would want to run.

Though...Selina didn't think Dean would want to run from a fight. She'd assumed he'd run towards the action. What changed?

"We gotta make sure we can't be tracked first."

"You have no idea, do you?" Selina glanced down at the body in the backseat. Since they'd been on the road, she was afraid any bump they hit would wake the man up. I must've done a good hit on him. He's out cold.

Selina ran her hand along the silver blade. There wasn't much room for her to sit, as the man took up most of the backseat. She had to make due. She was armed, at least, with the weapon he tried to attack her with.

Selina dabbed at her cut again. The bleeding had stopped, but the wound still remained. He'll wish I only inflict a cut on him.

The man's feet started to move. Selina pushed herself against the door as much as possible without accidentally opening it. The man groaned, opening his eyes—Selina discovered they were a pretty hazel. Too pretty for a man who killed supernatural creatures like her.

Selina watched the man with narrow eyes as he came to his senses. His eyes were first on the ceiling of the car. Grunting, he used the car to sit up, rubbing his face. Selina kept the blade at her side.

"Hiya, sunshine," Selina greeted the man. She waggled her fingers at him.

"Who are you?" The man's voice was deep.

Selina flashed her black eyes.

The man tried to get his door open, but Dean had locked them all as they got on the road. The man cursed under his breath, looking around. His eyes fell upon the driver—or rather, the reflection of the driver in the mirror.

"Dean," he said breathlessly.

"How do you know Dean?" asked Selina.

"How do you?"

"Selina, meet Sam, my brother," Dean cut in. "Sam, meet Selina, my—"

"Partner in crime, fuck buddy, whatever you wish to call me," Selina finished sweetly. Sam looked mortified. "I've heard almost nothing about you, Sam."

"Funny, 'cause I've heard nothing about you," Sam retorted.

"Oh, that's because Dean and I just teamed up. He's helping me explore myself, and he's been a huge help. Rumor is you're trying to find him to turn him human with some cure for being a demon."

"There's no rumor to it, it's all truth." Sam tried to get out the car door again.

"You really want to tuck and roll and become road pizza? Your choice." Selina kept a tight grip on the blade. "By the way, this is mine now."

"How did you know I was around?"

"I didn't, happy accident. It was a surprise when you fought back with this." Selina giggled. "Most panic, or run and scream. Or all three."

"Where are we going?" Sam asked. Dean remained silent.

"Currently, nobody knows." Selina shrugged. "Guess we'll find out soon, won't we?"

Suddenly, the car jerked to a stop, and the tires screeched as the car skidded. Dean had run the group off the road. In the midst of this, Sam wrestled Selina for his weapon, and magically, the doors unlocked.

When Sam launched himself at Selina, he'd gotten the door open. As Dean tried to regain control of the car, Selina and Sam catapulted out, tangled with each other, the silver blade away from their reach.

"Dean!" Selina shouted. She kept a hold of Sam so he wouldn't wriggle away as she watched the car come to a halt. From the road, she saw someone—not human, as she could see his true face—walk from the road towards the car. He's not a demon. An angel?

Selina yelped in pain as Sam got a hit on her face, dislodging her off him. With his gangly legs, he tried to get to his feet. With a little power, Selina swept them out from under him. She brushed herself off, watching as Sam slowly slid back towards her.

"Where do you think you're gonna go, Sammy?" Selina crooned to the Winchester. "We're just getting started!"

"What have you done to my brother?" Sam demanded.

The demon chuckled. "I've done nothing to him, unless you count giving him a good time in bed. Oh, no, your brother was like this when I met him." With her other hand, Selina called the weapon to her.

Just as she was about to stab Sam, her head erupted into a furious pain. She screamed, clutching at her head. It was like someone was inside, stabbing her brain with hot, very sharp knives.

"What are you doing to me?!" Selina screeched. Her hold over Sam cut out; he scrambled away from her. She refused to let go of the weapon. She looked at Sam with unadulterated rage.

"That's not Sam's doing," came a new, much deeper voice. Selina swiped as the weapon was pulled from her grasp. The pain had her buckle her knees in the grass. The skies were overcast, threatening a storm.

"Stop it." Selina's growl took an animalistic tone. Thunder boomed in the distance.

"I might let you live."

"Stupid idea on your part, but hey, let's try that and see how that goes for you and Sammy boy."

"This isn't quite the reunion I was expecting," said Dean. Selina didn't turn, she was afraid that she couldn't, but she was aware of Dean's presence. "But you just moved up your death timetable by a lot."

"Dean, knock it off. All of this has to stop," said the unfamiliar voice.

"Why should it? I'm liking this new me. Why should I stop, Cas? I'm practically untouchable."

"You know, taunting isn't the smartest of ideas."

"What do you want from us?" Selina hissed, head still pounding in pain.

"We want to bring Dean home," said Sam.

"He doesn't want to go back! Don't you idiots get it? He's flourishing."

The pain in Selina's skull finally disappeared. Gasping loudly, she floundered onto the grass. As she rolled over, she saw Dean battling this "Cas" guy in a trenchcoat. Cas looked hesitant, Dean looked to want to show no mercy.

"She's right," Dean agreed. "I got no home with either of you."

With new found energy, Selina leapt after Sam. Despite not having a blade, Sam was a decent fighter with his fists. Selina took some punches from the tall guy, but none rendered her down for the count.

During their exchange, Selina noticed a change in Sam. He was favoring one arm over the other. She hadn't heard any bones crack under her fists, or her feet. Must be a sprain. Just as she was about to launch herself at him, she heard a yell of pain from Dean.

Forgetting about Sam, Selina spun around. The silver blade was imbedded in Dean's shoulder. Feeling protective and pissed, the blonde demon ran, leaping atop the angel's back. She got her arms around his neck, veering him away from Dean. Cas went for the ground, taking Selina with him.

"Sam!" Cas called. The other Winchester was there almost immediately, and before Selina could launch another move, Cas put two fingers to her forehead. She had no chance of fighting him; he knocked her out cold.
