09 - Thrown Into the Fire, Adapted to the Heat

09 – Thrown Into the Fire, Adapted to the Heat

Dean and Selina continued their road trip across the States. They made several stops along the way, killing as they pleased. The celebration always ended up with drinking and a good amount of sex.

This newest bout of sex was no different. But each time, Selina always had an enjoyable experience. Dean certainly knew what he was doing.

"Dare I say it, you may not get any better than that," Selina panted. The two hadn't even made it to the bed in this motel room; they had fucked on the floor. Currently, Selina's back was a bit sore. Being pounded into something that wasn't the bed was not the most comfortable of feelings. "Can I make a suggestion?"

"No whips or chains."

"I was gonna suggest next time, we make it to the bed first. Floors are not as comfortable."

"You couldn't wait, either. You dragged me down first!"

"You didn't exactly stop." Selina propped herself up, taking note of slight hickeys along her breasts. This was the first time Dean had truly left any marks...on her breasts. Her inner thighs were a much different story.

"Um, what are you doing?" Dean asked as Selina began to gather her clothes.

"I'll scope out the next prey. I'm not walking out naked. Yeah, it'd attract attention, but, not how I want to do things."

"Mm, well, as long as only I get to see you like this, I'll let it slide."

Selina began to notice that Dean was being possessive of her. It wasn't on an extreme, dangerous level. But it would peek out every now and again. For now, it was nothing to worry about. She was more worried about the day Dean would call it quits with their "partnership" and leave her to her own devices.

Once Selina was dressed, she stepped out into the night. Aside from the motel vacancy sign, not much else lit the area up. So when Selina sensed a familiar, demonic presence that wasn't Dean, she wasn't all too surprised by the visit.

"Well, someone looks unhappy," Selina noted of Lissa.

The orange-haired demon scowled. "Your task was to keep an eye on him, not to sleep with him!"

"Hey, he's not threatening the King's life. Be thankful. He's only slaughtering humans, not demons." Selina's eyes squinted. "Have you been tracking us?"

"How else do you think I find you, dipshit? I keep a very healthy distance, especially from Winchester. He's more likely to kill me than you are. But, then again, you're so up his ass, you just might turn against your own kind."

"He's not converting me to his ways. He's showing me my true strength."

"He's also using you as a sex toy." Lissa shook her head. "Nowhere did we instruct—"

"I signed no contract, so, really, how much value do words hold? As I said, Dean is in control. He's fine."

"You're playing with fire, Selina."

"Our King threw me into the fire, I'm just adapting to the heat. How much do you tell him about my assignment?"

"I can't bear to tell him that you're sleeping with Dean Winchester." Lissa gagged. "It makes me want to puke just thinking about it."

"Is it because he's a hunter that you don't find him attractive? Have you seen him? Wait, do you swing the other way?"

"I'm not here so you can question my sexuality, Selina."

"Does the King ever want Dean dead?" Selina asked curiously, having been shut down about the previous topic. "I mean, if he's such a big threat—"

"That's the thing. He can be killed, but he returns as a demon. It's how he became one. He died while bearing the Mark of Cain."

"So...he didn't turn demon in Hell?"

Lissa shook her head. "No, he didn't. Do you see why we can't kill him? It'd be declaring war. Though he's one man, he's not one you want to start a war with. It's why the King sent you. You will be our warning siren if Dean decides to make a move on all of demon kind."

"I truly think you're being paranoid."

"Look, as far as demons go, he's not made by natural means. His soul wasn't torn apart and corrupted in Hell like yours and mine. This is different."

Selina looked past Lissa, finding her newest victim. "I hate to end this talk, but, I've got some murder to commit." As Selina walked past, Lissa grabbed her arm, spinning her around.

"You are not with Dean Winchester to be fuck buddies, or be any sort of friends."

"Believe me, we aren't."

"Do not lose sight of what we sent you here to do."

"I'm not." With a tug, Selina yanked her arm out of Lissa's grasp and pursued her prey.

Though the man was big in size, Selina knew she could incapacitate him with ease.

However, that was not the case, as when Selina snuck up behind the man, he turned around and swiped at her, with a silver weapon.

Luckily, the weapon missed. But the man clearly knew he had been followed. Have I stumbled across a hunter? A little gleeful, Selina smirked.

Without exchanging quips, the two battled each other. Though tall in size, the man's movements were fast. It impressed Selina, to be honest. It gave her more of a challenge.

When the silver blade struck Selina in the face, it left a mark. And it hurt. Selina stumbled back, dabbing at the cut. She was bleeding. Angry, she ran for the man. Though her anger was getting the better of her, it did not make her method sloppy.

With a little jump, Selina managed to get an uppercut on the man. His body crashed to the ground, Selina was surprised the ground hadn't shook from impact. She snatched the silver weapon from his hand.

"Okay," Selina said aloud. "You're a first."

Dragging the man's body back to the room proved a little difficult, until Dean intercepted her halfway through and helped (thankfully, he had put clothes on prior to leaving the room to help her).

Once the two got the man inside, Selina shut the door, catching her breath. Dean circled their prey like a vulture, a pure disdainful look in his eyes. Though Dean naturally despised humans, this look...it was different.

Selina snapped her fingers, grabbing Dean's attention. She chucked the silver blade at him, to which he caught nimbly.

"It can hurt us," she stated.

"Yeah, I know. It's an angel blade. It doesn't discriminate." The frown grew deeper on Dean's face.

"What is it?" asked Selina.

Dean didn't remove his green eyes off the body. He poked it with his foot. The body didn't stir. "Did you kill him?"

"I just knocked him out. Why?" Selina moved in closer.

"Things just got a little more complicated." Dean rolled the body over, so Selina could see just who she'd abducted.

Obviously, Selina didn't recognize the man. He was very tall, taller than Dean in fact. His hair was dark and long, sprawled along the mangy carpet floor of the room. She was tempted to open one eye to see his iris color, but she thought better of it. She wanted him to wake naturally, not catch her off guard. Not that any past victims really had.

"Is he a hunter?" asked Selina. She was a little excited if that turned out to be the case. Finally, her first! She hoped Dean would let her take lead on this. This was a big league kill. "Yup."

"Do you know him?"

"Yup."

"Okay, then, who is he?"

"I'll give you a proper intro when he wakes up. But, we gotta move him out of here, now."

"Move him? Move him where?"

"Backseat or the trunk. We can't exactly tie him to the roof." Dean tossed her the silver blade, to which she dropped. With ease, Dean scooped up the body. "Come on, we're leaving."

Selina was confused, rushing out after Dean. He moved at a brisk pace, despite having the body over his shoulder. Dean dumped the body in the backseat.

"Get in the back with him," Dean ordered.

"Why?"

"If he wakes, he's gonna want to fight. I'll be driving, so you're gonna have to restrain him. Use the blade if you have to. Don't kill him. It's not the right time."

"The dude's a freaking tree, Dean."

"So? You got powers. He's human."

"I'm sitting up front with you. That's how this works."

"This is our first road trip with a body in the backseat. Someone needs to supervise him. Backseat. Now."

Selina and Dean began a staring contest. She felt the heat of his stare, but she firmly held her ground. She wasn't about to be bossed around by Dean Winchester. He held no dominance over her. He held no leverage.

Dean kept the back door open, his intense stare not wavering. Selina sighed.

"Be a good girl. You know your reward when you are." Dean winked.

"Mm, fine." Selina pulled him down for a rough kiss. "Just remember, it works both ways, bucko. You behave, you get your reward."

**Soooo who is their latest victim? I'm sure y'all can guess before the next chapter is out.

And...I may or may not have asked how many of you ship Delina at this point. I don't think I have in previous notes.**
