OWL/ ICE STORM

" Sis..?" I paddled up to my sister, " Are you alright?" She looked at me then shifted to turn her back towards me.

" Ice- I, I mean Owl, go away..." she muttered, " I want to be left alone." She put her head on her paws and curled her tail over her muzzle. I lowered my head.

" There's something she isn't telling me..." I thought, " Alright, I'll leave you alone." I turned to walk away. " Is there something she is worried about?"

 Wolves looked up as a loud, long howl sounded through the clearing.

" My Pack, assemble!" Alpha, Timber, called. At once, wolves began to appear from the dens and headed towards Crystal Rock.  Timber leaped up to the top of Crystal and sat to wait for his pack to settle down. " My Pack," He began, " as you all know, my pups have come to our Pack." he flicked his tail to summon the three pups. " Owl, Fang, and Luna, the Pack welcomes you." Wolves stared at the three pups. One resembled the Alpha; another looked like a fox. They began to whisper among themselves.

" Why does one of them look like a fox..?" 

" I can see how the grey one could be Alpha's son, but the red one... I doubt it..."

" How could one of Alpha's pups be red?! No one in the Pack is red or even reddish brown!"

" Are all of Alpha's pups male..?"

A smaller, female pup emerged from behind her pups. A gasp rose from the assembled wolves. The pup shrank back away from the crowd. Her bi-colored eyes glowed nervously in the fading light. 

" A demon pup..." 

" Alpha shouldn't have a pup like that...!'

" Everyone listen," Timber commanded, " These are my pups... Treat them with respect" He stood up. Suddenly the wolves abruptly stopped whispering. A wolf had emerged from the Alpha's den. The she-wolf stared at the the group of wolves. Her golden eyes shone with dismay and anger. She bounded to Crystal and leaped to stand next to Timber. Her tail lashed with anger.

" Are you defying your Alpha?!" She growled, " You useless group of dogs! That is not how you treat Alpha or his pups!" She rose up to her full height and drew her head and tail up. All the wolves looked as one another, but none of them said a word. Timber dipped his head to the she-wolf.

" Sky, my mate..." he smiled, " You always handle the chaos so well..." He turned back to the wolves with his head held high with authority. " I have chosen the wolves who shall train my pups. Thistle, you will train Owl. Wind, you will train Fang. Snow, you will train Luna" Thistle and Violet stood and came meet the pup they were to train. Owl and Fang jumped up to meet them.

" Owl let's go." Thistle growled. He jerked his head towards the edge of the camp. " we will start with a tour of the borders..." Owl nodded and followed Thistle out of camp.

" Come, Fang, I'll show you around the camp." Wind said gently. She curled her tail around Fang and guided him away. Luna was left alone sitting in the shadows of Crystal Hill. A white she-wolf slipped out of the crowd of wolves. She walked up to Crystal and looked around the Crystal.

" Luna, where are you..?" Snow asked, " I'm not going to hurt you, come out." She glanced around and settled herself on the ground. Timber and Sky leaped down from Crystal and after exchanging a few words with Snow, disappeared into  Alpha's den. The wolves dispersed after Timber and Sky had left. Only Snow was left under Crystal. She put her head on her paws. " I'm not going anywhere..." she muttered. She felt a pair of eyes stare at her. Snow lifted her head to find bi-colored eyes staring back at her. A black and silver pup stepped into the moonlight. Snow smiled, " You must be Luna." She stood up and stretched. " Come with me." Snow lead the way across the clearing to a waterfall. " This is where you will be staying from now on." she disappeared behind the waterfall. Behind the waterfall was a large and beautiful cave. The moonlight filtered into the cave through a hole in the cave wall. Snow turned to face Luna, he yellow eyes glowing in the dim light. " The Pack depends on us. I hope you will be able to catch on quickly." she said, " We are the only ones in this Pack who can treat the injured."
