Measurements: when completely opened from end to end it measures at 6ft long. Each individual segment is 1 1/2 feet long.

Info: This staff is based off of a story Tahu heard his brother in law Ben tell Erza one day. This story was known as Journey to the West. What always fascinated Tahu about the story was the staff use by Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. The name of the staff in the story was Ruyi Jingu Bang which translated to Wishful golden cudgel. Tahu has a hard time pronouncing that name so he decided to call it his Golden Sun Staff or the Sun Staff.
Gems used: The two gems used are the Force Jump Gem and the Stretch gem. The Force Jump Gem is used to either propel the user upwards or to send an enemy flying. Tahu uses it to travel up to the Fairy Tail Guild when Ever Cana is busy or isn't around to take a flight up with him. The Stretch Gem allows the staff to extend and stretch to as long as Ben can send out Wildvine vines or Snare-Oh! bandages and is used for attacks.
Additional info: The reason as to why the staff folds up is for easy storage on his back. The Force Jump Gem is always the gem on the bottom when Tahu uses it. The inspiration of making the staff came from Tahu's niece Amber saying that Sun Wukongs Staff sounds awesome.
