I mean, individuals can't own owls in the u.s. anyways but I'm going to be responding to the "Top 10 reasons you don't want an owl as a pet" I will italicize the reasons and my response will be in normal wattpad text

10. Taking a vacation or going on a business trip is difficult. Yeah, of course it'll be difficult. It's also difficult with other animals as well, not just owls.

9. Owls can be very destructive. So can other animals. Cats scratch up furniture, hamsters and guinea pigs chew through basically anything they can chew through (this is the same with puppies). Animals in general are destructive.

8. Mating season involves a lot of all-night racket. Dogs can make all-night rackets every night. I'd rather listen to an owl that a dog.

7. Owls don't like to be petted and cuddled. Fun fact! SOME DO. Not all animals like to be petted or cuddled. Heck, even some more domestic animals such as cats and dogs don't like to be cuddled.

6. Owls are high maintenance. So are ferrets, chameleons, rabbits and dogs.

5. Owls are long-lived. And this is bad how? Horses and quite a few species of birds also live long. Now, if 15-20 years is counted as "long" than cats, dogs, more birds, and a lot of reptiles fit that bill.

4. Beaks and talons are sharp. Claws and teeth are sharp as well.

3. Owls need specialized care. Of course. They aren't usually kept as pets so most vets only specialize in the usual domestic pets.

2. Feathers, pellets, and poop! Feathers and pellets are two of the reasons I love owls so much!! (as disgusting as this may sound) I absolutely love taking apart pellets ^w^

1. FOOD. Snakes are given live food. They don't eat from man made chow. Same with owls and other predatory birds. They eat animals (it doesn't have to be alive :p ) and I've already feed various owls and predatory birds chicks :/ I'm down for doing it again.
