It's a Reminder
You know what saddens me?
The fact that there were so few adults at the Battle of Hogwarts.
It's a reminder that this battle is taking place at a school, the one place that was supposed to be the safeguard for everyone.
It's a reminder that many strong adult wizards have been taken down, and only the masses of children are left, and the teacher are trying their best to prevent themselves from joining the list of the dead, because if they're gone too, there would be no one left to defends the other students.
It's a reminder that many adults probably took over a duel or took a curse for a student, because they are children, and have so much more to live for. How many adults took an Avada Kedavra for a third year student. Or was struck down from behind, trying to shield a first year. Or taking a Cruciatus Curse for a sixth year who is fighting their hardest.
It's a reminder that not every student was able to be saved. That there was no way to save Fred Weasley from the explosion. No way to save Lavender Brown from almost getting mauled to death by Fenrir Greyback. No way to save Colin Creevey who snuck in to try and help fight against those who were attacking their home.
Their school.
Hogwarts.
It's a reminder that many lives were lost, both student and adult, and both had lost their lives, fighting for the cause they believed in.
REMEMBER THEM THIS MAY 2nd
