Today I was in the car watching my sister play on one of those apps where she has to treat an injured dog when she asked me another question. (I have no idea where she comes up with this stuff) She was supposed to add one of those neck cones on one of the dogs when she was like "Why do they put theses cones on the dogs?" Once again I, having no idea (I really don't know anything do I?) answer with the most logical conclusion that I come to. "For example, if the dogs have a rash or something on their thigh, they put the cone on their neck to stop them from irritating the affected area by biting it." I say, trying to sound as if I know what I'm talking about. My tone apparently works as she stops for a moment, looks down at the screen and then looks up at me and then asks. "Can't the dog just scratch the rash with their other leg or something? Then what's the point of having the cone? Stupid, Idiot Doctor. I just burst out laughing. Her logic made sense and my mind just short-circuited before just coming up blank. I don't even know.

Why do vets put the neck cones on the dogs? Do you know? If so, please comment below (I love to rhyme)!
