So I was sitting in Science class looking at my sheet of homework. It shows a little boy swimming in a pond with two trees, a goat, a grassy field and is I'm black and white (Is this even High School right now?). The Question asks if one of the trees are dead. So I turned to my partner Richard and asked if the tree looked dead to him. This is our conversation.

Me: Does this tree look dead to you? I mean it's in black and white but it doesn't look dead to me.

Richard: It looks dead to me.

Me: It could've just lost its leaves. Like in the winter time, the trees look dead but they aren't. Unless they come back to life? So the trees lose their leaves, die and then come back to life? *turns to look at him questionably*

Richard: *looks at me with an "Are you serious" look on his face* Does this look like winter to you? The other tree has all of its leaves! And would this little boy be swimming in the winter? The pond would be a block of ice!

Me: *makes an 'O' shape with mouth and slowly realizes what's he's saying* Oh. Okay. Um, thanks? *turns back to own paper half embarrassed half snickering*
