Q1. Best book you've read this year?
A1. The Great Gatsby! That is a killer book (pun intended, for anyone who's read it)
Q2. A book you've wanted to read for a long time and still haven't?
A2. Words of Radiance in the Stormlight Archive series. The Way of Kings was an amazing book, but I haven't gotten around to the sequel yet
Q3. A book that needs to be made into a movie?
A3. That's tough. There are a lot of books I love and yet wouldn't want to see in movie form. Actually, as I'm thinking about it, the Bible would make a great movie series. Obviously some of it couldn't be converted like the books of the prophets or a whole bunch of the New Testament, but it's an amazing story that would be a beautiful, albeit LONG, series of movies if done correctly
Q4. A book you love and hate at the same time?
A4. Keys to the Demon Prison, by Brandon Mull. It's such a good book and yet I hate it because it's the end of the series and wraps everything up so well that I can't help but feel wistful that I can't keep watching the lives of the characters
Q5. Favorite Male Character?
A5. Roran from the Inheritance Cycle. He's pretty epic and noble despite all his mistakes
Q6. Favorite Female Character?
A6. Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Q7. Your favorite author?
A7. Brandon Mull or Brandon Sanderson
Q8. Favorite quote from your favorite book?
A8. [I'll fill this one in later]
Q9. A book that makes you cry?
A9. There isn't one; I'm not much of a crier
Q10. A book that you've read more than three times?
A10. The Last Olympian; I don't re-read very often
Q11. A book you wish more people would read?
A11. The Way of Kings, by Brandon Sanderson. It's totally unique but massively underappreciated and unknown
Q12. A book you hated?
A12. Nothing really comes to mind. There was one I read in elementary school about a Pictish boy who tries to run away to Rome after his tribe is killed by legionnaires; that book was garbage. Can't think of the title....
Q13. A book that makes you laugh?
A13. Just about any of the Fablehaven series. Seth Sorenson is hilarious and there's some stellar dialogue in those books
Q14. A book that makes you happy?
A14. Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary. That's pretty much my go-to joy reading. Oh, actually any of the first six Harry Potters work too
Q15. A book that makes you sad?
A15. The Great Gatsby
Q16. A book that changed your opinion about something?
A16. Either Perelandra or Screwtape Letters both by C.S. Lewis. They very clearly lay out some mental struggles I've had and really changed the way I think about things
Q17. The most surprising plot twist or ending?
A17. It would have been Great Gatsby if I hadn't seen the movie first xD
Q18. Favorite book of your favorite series?
A18. Keys to the Demon Prison from the Fablehaven series
Q19. First novel you remember reading?
A19. Ohhhh........ that's a hard one. I think The Lightning Thief
Q20. Last book you read?
A20. Perelandra by C.S. Lewis
Q21. Most overrated book?
A21. The Fellowship of the Ring.... Sorry guys, but the writing really wasn't that impressive despite being a great story. I'm sure at the time it was a knock-out but it just moves too slow with too many irrelevant details
Q22. Favorite book turned into a movie?
A22. Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
Q23. Your favorite book of all time?
A23. Way of Kings, by Brandon Sanderson. It's literally got everything all mixed into an incredibly twisty plot that kept me anxious to read every chapter
