Chapter Three 

death doesn't really scare me

3rd person pov 

neveah didn't know where to start, she didn't know what to do or say. she was horrified and felt that only one person could save them but they weren't there. she needed jonathan and molly there, she needed someone to come and save them but she didn't know how to do that without being caught 

"what are you thinking?" dora asked her quietly and she shrugged, she didn't want to admit that she was afraid; she hated to admit that but she felt that she had to in that very moment 

"what if we never get out of here?" veah asked her 

"don't think like that v" alex said to her and she turned to him 

"i shouldn't, i'm sorry but what if we die? what if i never get to see my mom or dad again?" she asked in fear 

"you won't v, we'll get out of here and get ice cream and at some point we'll laugh about this in the future" dora stated and alex sighed. 

"i don't know if i'll ever laugh about almost dying at the place i work at" he exclaimed and veah nodded in agreement 

"now that i think about it, death doesn't really scare me" she said and the two of them made eye contact. they hadn't heard the footsteps or anything, it was less scary now that the ride lights were on but also more scary seeing as they had to be near a ride to see anything. 

juna and katya had seperated from the others to go to the waterpark side, just in case that was the safest place. none of them knew where the safest place was and they wanted to test it out. caden and ronan decided to stay together as they couldn't find kaylin. 

"what do you mean?" dora asked her and she sighed. 

"i think not knowing how i'm gonna die is scarier then dying. i want to know when and where and how and why. i want to know if i died being brave or if i died being horrified for my life. i want to know everything about my death before i die" she explained and they stared at her 

"i never thought of it like that" alex said and veah smiled at him sadly 

"not many people do" she said

"why do you?" dora asked 

"i don't know, i guess i get scared that i'm not gonna live my life the way i want to live it and i'm gonna be stuck being veah 'the cold hearted bitch' " she spoke 

"we don't see you like that" dora said and veah nodded 

"maybe you don't but alot of people do and i don't blame them. i am a bitch and i can be cold-hearted" she agreed and even though they didn't want to admit it, she was right. they knew she was right and they felt bad 

but not as bad as they would feel soon...

with juna and katya, they were walking around the waterpark, hiding but also making sure that they stuck together and didn't get hurt 

"where even is that pussy of a killer? what's he waiting for?" Katya scoffed and juna couldn't help but laugh under her breathe 

"why do you think its a man? can't women be killers too?" juna said and katya nodded 

"of course they can, i'm just saying i know the way a man walks and it was for sure a man" she stated 

"what? you analyze people when youre on the verge of death?" juna questioned 

"i would rather know the kind of person who killed me then die without any idea" katya retorted 

"so what you think we're gonna die?" juna asked and katya nodded 

"of course i do, i mean come on juna. we're stuck in a fucking amusement park with we don't know how many killers and they had a shotgun, what if theres more then one?" she asked 

"there usually is" 

"exactly, i know slashers. i watched them growing up, i had too. i know how killers work and i know that there is usually more then one when its a large group of people because they want to kill everyone but they don't know who to start with" she ranted and juna watched her 

"this whole thing is stupid" she finished and juna agreed before she saw someone behind her and she moved katya behind the wall so they couldn't see the two of them, juna panted as she had katya pressed up against a wall and they looked at each other 

"hi" juna said 

"hey" katya spoke 

"do you think we're good now?" juna asked and katya nodded as juna pushed off the wall and away from kat 

"sorry about that" she apologized 

"don't be, you may have just saved me" she told her and juna smiled at her making her smile back at the girl. that was when they decided to begin walking again avoiding the killer or killers as safely and quietly as they could. 

but they may not be able to do that for much longer

"hey caden" ronan asked and caden turned to him 

"whats up?" caden asked him in a cheery voice and ronan stared at him in shock. for some reason, he was so happy and ronan couldn't understand why'

"you don't think we're gonna die do you?" ronan asked and caden let out a pfft 

"we definitely are but we're gonna die and its gonna be so cool, like when it happens" he said and ronan stared 

"you think your death is gonna be cool?" ronan questioned 

"of course i do , i mean come on, i'm cool so my death has to be" he stated and ronan stared at him before he shook his head and sighed. 

"you can't actually be as stupid as you look" ronan retorted 

"I have a question" caden said 

"nothing you say right now can make me any more confused so shoot" ronan said 

"it is legal to die with drugs in your system? oh shit! are they going to put my casket in prison?" he asked 

"and i stand corrected" ronan said 

"what?" 

"nothing" he thought 

"i never even got to tell molly i loved her" he said and caden stared shocked 

"you like molly?" he asked 

"i thought it was obvious" he replied 

"definitely not but if we don't die, you'll be able to tell her, think positive" caden exclaimed

"didn't you just say that we're gonna die?" he asked 

"i mean yeah but i'm not wrong, now lets go hide" he said 

but they couldn't hide for long.
