Update 1/2

~~~~~~~~~~~
"Kookie!"
"Kookie!"
"Kookie!"
The chants went on as two men did push ups on the floor. Jungkook maybe a gym rat but Taehyung was no slouch. He trained regularly and he trained hard.
"100!!" Soobin announced but the men didn't stop. "Oh! 101, 102, 103..." Soobin continued to count.
They were supposed to do a 100 push ups but neither of them was backing down.
Jungkook could feel his muscles burning. He sent a quick glance towards Tae who was sweating profusely but still holding good form.
They had both taken off their shirts. Jungkook couldn't help but hungrily take in all the gorgeous planes and dips on his body. Taehyung wasn't buff but boy, did he have a beautiful body. All lean and tan with the perfect V going down into his khaki shorts.
So breathtakingly beautiful.
"122, 123, 124, 125...." Soobin continued.
"Who's not-so-brilliant idea was it to make two athletes do pushups?" Yeonjun asked. "They will never stop!" He threw up his hands in frustration.
Jungkook looked up to see Tae smirking at him and he grinned. They were well matched and he'd be damned if he would back down.
"146, 147, 148... okay you guys need to stop now!!" Soobin groaned.
But they went on.
The little huffs and groans leaving one, excited the other and vice versa.
"Stop! Please." Yeonjun begged.
But who would stop first? Neither of them wanted to give up.
Jungkook's breath was burning through his lungs but nothing short of an earthquake could get him to stop now.
"Let's call it a tie!" Beomgyu suggested and relief washed through him.
"You guys can stop on 3, 2 and 1." Soobin slapped his palm on the ground beside the two huffing men.
Both moaned as they fell to the floor and then laughter bubbled out of them as they turned to look at each other.
Jungkook playfully shoved Tae's shoulder. "You are getting weak, old man." He giggled.
"In your dreams, beef bunny." Tae laughed, his boxy smile looking more gorgeous than ever.
The beautiful box of happiness, Jungkook thought as he grinned back. His heart was soaring. This is what he craved more than anything. This challenge, easy camaraderie, laughter and pure joy.
"That was so hot!!" Minji exclaimed, fanning herself. "Why are all good looking guys, gay?" She whined, looking Taehyung up and down, making Jungkook's hackles rise.
"I'm not-" Tae started reflexively and then stopped himself.
But the damage had already been done.
Jungkook's heart cracked. He had let himself get carried away again.
Every single time.
No matter how many times he had been torn down to shreds, hope always reared its ugly head, making him believe in fairy tales and stupid what ifs.
He was never going to learn. No matter how many times he got kicked to the curb he would always go back for more pain. Such a dumb masochist.
As everyone looked at Jungkook, he closed his eyes bracing himself for what he knew would come.
"Wha-" Soobin seemed confused.
"I'm not gay. I am not and never have been attracted to guys." Tae clarified.
Jungkook swallowed, clenching his fists as every word cut straight through him.
"But then how are you two-?" Yeonjun asked.
"What the hell?" Junghyun asked, standing up. He was Jungkook's older brother and he walked to Jungkook to lay a hand on his shoulder. "What is this, Koo?" He asked softly.
"It's just Jeon." Tae continued before Jungkook could answer.
Everyone turned to look back at him.
"I can't seem to keep my eyes off him." Tae smiled. "My hands either. It's just him." He shrugged. "Whatever that makes me."
A stunned silence followed his proclamation.
"He's Jeon-sexual." Beomgyu laughed, breaking the ice that had settled heavily in the room.
Jungkook blinked at him in surprise.
Jung-hyun joined the laughter and patted Jungkook on the back. Jungkook himself was too stunned to speak.
Tae walked over and pulled him into a hug. The crowd cheered and catcalled.
Jungkook cleared his throat and whispered "Nice save." before hugging him back.
"It was the truth." Taehyung replied, pulling away.
"Kiss!"
"Kiss!"
"Kiss!"
The cousins chanted making Jungkook blush.
"Stop it guys. No one's kissing anyone." Jungkook waved them off as he walked to the bar to grab a beer.
Everyone booed after him.
He ignored them and sat down on a bar stool. He was still a little shaky. It had been very, very close. Taehyung had been quick to turn things around but that didn't change the fact that it was real.
He wasn't gay.
It was just a simple fact. Nothing could change that.
Jungkook knew that he was playing a dangerous game. Soon their time would be up and they would separate for good. What was he going to do then? What would he tell everyone?
It just wasn't meant to be? His rational mind supplied innocently but his heart sent a sharp stab through his chest, denying it.
He took a long swig of his beer and turned around to look at him.
Kim Taehyung.
How had this one man turned his entire life upside down? Ever since he had laid eyes on him, he had been blind to the rest of the world.
"Bun!" He called, giggling as Yeonjun whispered something in his ear.
"Oooohhhh bun!" The others teased, making Jungkook colour again as he remembered the way Tae had looked at him when he had explained what it meant.
"Bun! Come here, wife!" Tae laughed.
Jungkook blushed but did as he asked.
"Yeonjun-ah thinks you are too shy to be a husband." Tae said in the middle of his laughter.
"Yeah, Yeah. You wouldn't be laughing if I start acting shamelessly here." Jungkook answered.
"Try me." Taehyung challenged, all the laughter wiped from his face, replaced by a look with so much heat, Jungkook had to physically hold himself back.
"Do it, Kookie hyung!" Soobin encouraged.
"Show him who's boss!" Beomgyu pushed.
"Yeah! Lay one on him!" Yeonjun yelled.
Jungkook smiled but ignored them all, taking another swig of his beer.
Taehyung cocked his head to one side. "Come on Koo. You don't want to disappoint the kids, do you?" He crossed his legs, his elbow on his knees and lay his chin on his fist. "Pucker up, buttercup!" He said, puckering his lips and making kissing sounds.
"You are all perverts. The whole lot of you." Jungkook finished his beer and turned to leave. "I'm off to bed."
"Booooooooooooo!!!" Everyone screamed, Tae being the loudest of them all.
~~~~~~~~

Taehyung was drunk.

He had to be. There was no other explanation for how much fun he was having. With complete strangers no less.

If this was what it felt like to have a huge family, then Tae never wanted to fucking leave. And to think he had believed they wouldn't like him.

He sat down on the floor, his chest heaving from exertion and uncontrollable laughter. Beomgyu was a complete crackhead. Tae couldn't remember the last time he had laughed so much. He had a stitch in his side and tears in his eyes.

He wiped the tears and sighed as Jung-hyun fell beside him.

"You must think we are a crazy lot, no?" He smiled.

He looked so much like Jungkook, yet so different. His features were more mature, his voice deeper, there were creases in the corner of his eyes that shone just as much but weren't as deep or as big or as beautiful as Jungkook's eyes.

Taehyung shook his head. "I think they are hilarious."

"Glad you stayed back with us instead of sneaking off with your "Grumpy Bun"" Soobin snickered.

Taehyung laughed. "Grumpy Bun"

"I am not grumpy. But you, most definitely, are drunk." Jungkook called from behind him.

Tae twisted in his spot to look at him.

He was wearing a pair of grey sweatpants and nothing else. His hair seemed damp like he had just got out of a shower.

Edible. Jungkook looked edible, Tae thought with a silly smile.

"Let's go get you cleaned up and in bed, come on." Jungkook called, extending his hand towards him.

"No! I am not drunk or sleepy. I'm having a lot of fun. These guys are amazing." Taehyung rolled on the floor and stretched.

"Come on, Kookie hyung. Stay with us." Yeonjun cajoled.

"Yeah, stay, Kook." Minji said.

"We have the whole week. We've had enough for today." Jungkook answered sternly, putting an end to all the arguments.

He caught Taehyung's arm and pulled him up to stand.

"I don't want to go." Tae pouted.

"You're so drunk, Kim. You need to sleep it off." Jungkook said.

"Will you carry me to bed if I refuse?" Tae asked with a smirk.

"Ooooooooohhh" the rest of them chorused.

Jungkook's face twisted in a grimace. "Let's go." He caught Tae's arm again.

Taehyung took one step and seemed to slump into Jungkook. He caught the older before he slipped to the floor and held him up until he could regain his balance. All the while Tae kept giggling like he was having the time of his life.

When Tae still didn't seem to find his footing, Jungkook lifted him up on his shoulder, making Tae laugh harder as his head smacked Jungkook's ass.

"Go easy on him, Jungkookie hyung."

"Yeah don't break him. He's too pretty."

"Hope you can still walk tomorrow, Taehyungie hyung. We are going to the beach." Soobin reminded.

"Assuming he's the bottom though, right?" Minji asked.

They all looked expectantly towards the men.

Taehyung was giggling uncontrollably at this point but Jungkook was inwardly panicking. Any moment Tae could realise what they were talking about and he would lose his shit.

"Why wouldn't I be able to walk?" He asked suddenly and Jungkook spun on his heel, speed walking out the room with Taehyung still on his shoulders.

Tae was full out laughing by the time Jungkook locked the door to their room, behind him.

He smacked Jungkook's ass "Put me down, wife." He giggled.

"Woah!" He exclaimed as Jungkook swung him on to the bed. "Head rush."

"You should wash up before sleeping. I hope you can manage on your own. I will unpack some of your stuff. Do you want anything specific right now? You can unpack the rest tomorrow when you're feeling up to it." Jungkook rambled on, turning his back in an attempt to distract himself from the beautiful man that was sprawled on the bed.

He felt a pair of hands softly reaching around him as Taehyung hugged him from behind. His long, lean fingers, gliding across Jungkook's torso was making his knees buckle under him. Taehyung sniffed longingly, snuggling his face into his back and his arms tightened slightly.

Jungkook's brain was scrambling.

"Uhm..... Tae?" He called and Taehyung moaned, plastering his entire body to Jungkook's.

Jungkook froze.

"Say it again." Tae said, his voice muffled.

Jungkook could feel his breath on the back of his neck and it was sending shivers down his body, way down, making bits of him rise up in attention.

"S-say what?" He asked tentatively.

"My name."

"Huh?" Jungkook was confused.

"You never say my name. It's always, hey or yah or Kim." Taehyung whined. "I think you called me Tae for the first time today." Taehyung sniffed his neck again and Jungkook trembled. "I like it." Tae whispered, making goosebumps rise on Jungkook's arms.

Taehyung's hands roamed his torso and started to slid down. Jungkook scarpered out of the embrace.

"Y-you are drunk." Jungkook said, his voice rough. He cleared his throat. "You should go wash up." He reminded, moving away.

Tae pouted but headed to the ensuite bathroom.

Jungkook heard the door click close behind him and sighed. Bracing his arms on the dresser, he hung his head, trying to get his breathing under control.

Kim Taehyung - the sarcastic, cocky asshole, he could handle.

Even the considerate, caring friend.

But this cute, giggly, flirty, handsy Tae would be the death of him.

"Bun!" A whiny call sounded through the closed door. "I need help."

Jungkook walked to the door and knocked "What's wrong?"

The door opened suddenly and Tae stood there without his shirt. Jungkook's eyes involuntarily slid down his body to his khaki shorts and then slowly back up again to his face.

Tae licked his lips. "I can't take them off."

"Huh?" Jungkook asked, dumbly.

"The shorts." Tae pointed, forcing Jungkook to look down again. "Help me, bunny. Please?" He pouted cutely.

Jungkook gulped.

Yup, gonna be the death of him for sure.

Jungkook slowly approached him and reached over to the button. He clenched his teeth. It was all he could do to stop his hands from shaking and revealing how much this was affecting his already fragile control.

He managed to free the button without touching Tae and looked up at him in triumph, only to see the older smirking at him.

Jungkook hurriedly stepped back "T-there you g-go."
Though he had succeeded in keeping his hands steady, his voice had betrayed him. He could feel his face heating up.

Taehyung was still smirking, as if he knew the havoc he was wrecking on his poor self control.

"I don't know if I can work the zipper. It's such a complicated contraption." Taehyung said, the smirk still firmly in place.

"S-shut up." Jungkook managed, turning away.

Taehyung laughed and closed the door again.

Jungkook was hyperventilating.

This was so out of character for Taehyung. He was definitely drunk but right then, smirking like that he had seemed completely sober.

Like he was actually trying to entice him.

That thought caused his breath to pick up speed again as the memories of their night together flooded his mind. His body reacted instantly, leaving him panting.

He heard a low, breathy moan come from behind the closed bathroom door, causing his dick to stand up in pert attention.

He closed his eyes.

He was so screwed.

~~~~~
Taehyung moaned again as the cool water from the shower drenched his overheated body. Hawaii was hot but a certain someone had caused more heat than this tropical weather.
He let out a sigh as he remembered the feel of holding Jungkook in his arms. The guy smelled so good, his mouth watered just thinking about it. And those little trembles did unspeakable things to his body.
It had taken every ounce of strength he possessed to turn and walk away from him when his cheeks were flushed so beautifully, the colour slowly spreading down his neck and down his body.
His beautifully sculpted, perfect body.
Taehyung gulped. He wanted things he had never even thought of before. It was scary in the best way possible.
It was exciting.
He wanted more.
He turned the water and stepped out of the shower, quickly wrapping a towel around his hips. He headed out to the room. To Jungkook.
He saw Jungkook startle and spin around to look at him. His eyes widened as he looked at him head to toe. Taehyung could feel the heat of his gaze like a physical caress on his skin. He bit his lip, he was scared to do anything but he knew he wanted to. He hoped Jungkook would take the lead, but the younger seemed to be fighting an internal battle. It was confusing him so he stood still until Jungkook gathered his bearings.
Tae watched quietly as those gorgeous eyes shuttered.
He had made his decision and Tae knew it wasn't in his favour.
"I have unpacked a bit for you like I said. Your boxers are there, help yourself." Jungkook said, reaching towards the bundle of pillows and picking it up.
Taehyung frowned.
"What are you doing?" He asked in confusion as Jungkook walked to the little settee by the window.
"Going to sleep. You should do the same. Good night." He answered, effectively closing the conversation.
Right.
One bed.
Tae bit back a gasp and quickly grabbed the boxers from the foot of the bed and pulled them on, while Jungkook piled one side of the settee with his pillows.
Tae swallowed the lump lodged in his throat. He was going to have to take matters into his own hands. He couldn't wait around baiting Jungkook to make a move.
He walked up to him.
"We can share the bed." He started...
"I don't think so." Jungkook replied curtly, without even looking at him.
"I'm serious. It's a really big bed, we are both adults."
Jungkook ignored him and continued what he was doing.
"It's stupid really, you wouldn't even fit on that." Taehyung tried again.
The settee really wasn't wide enough for someone built as big as his beef bunny, to sleep on.
"I'll manage." Jungkook fluffed up a pillow.
"Hey, stop being stubborn." Tae said grabbing his arm to stop him. "Don't worry I won't jump you in the night." He laughed awkwardly.
Jungkook pulled away like he had been burned.
"No, you won't! Because you're "straight" Believe me, I know and I'm not likely to forget."Jungkook snapped.
He continued before Tae could speak.
"No. You will only forget inviting me into your bed yourself and blame me for taking advantage of you in the morning. Exactly like you did on our wedd-"  Jungkook hesitated. "That night." He finished. "So just.. just go take the bed and leave me alone."
Taehyung frowned.
Their wedding night.
The words were laced with the pain in Jungkook's voice even if they had been left half unsaid.
The same night that had completely altered the course of their lives.
He had thought of it as a mistake for so long, with such conviction that the memory of it felt tainted now.
Jungkook's words had stung but they were true.
Denying what he had wanted - practically begged for, and then blaming Jungkook, was the worst thing he could've done. It was the lowest Tae had ever sunk in his life and he was ashamed of it. He had been stupid to push away the one good thing that had happened to him like that.
But he would be stupider to let that affect their future. He would make it right, he vowed. He would work to erase that memory from Jungkook's mind, even if it was the last thing he ever did.
"I understand." Tae said in a low voice.
Jungkook's eyes snapped to his.
"I do. I am sorry for how I acted back then, Bun." Taehyung said sincerely. He moved to touch Jungkook's hand again.
Jungkook scoffed, pulling away. Disbelief clear in his narrowed gaze.
"You don't believe me." Tae nodded sadly, his hand falling limply by his side. "It's okay. I will prove it to you."
"You've done enough." Jungkook said sarcastically, turning back to setting up the pillows.
That sliced through Taehyung's chest and cut his heart.
The need to tell Jungkook how his feelings had transformed was bubbling up inside him. But he knew that just laying the words out in the open, when his actions had repeatedly portrayed the opposite, would only make the guy reject them.
He needed to wait. To make sure he would be accepted. Until then, he would let his actions show how he felt.
"Take the bed." He blurted.
"What?" Jungkook asked.
"The bed. You take it. I will take the settee." Taehyung offered.
"You don't have to do that."
"I want to." Tae insisted "and you have to admit, I would fit on this more easily than you would."
Jungkook hesitated.
"Go on." Tae encouraged.
Jungkook stared at him for a moment more before walking to the bed and sitting down. He looked at Tae again who smiled at him before lying down on the settee. He had to lay sideways and pull his legs up but it was the least he could do.
Jungkook turned off the lights, dunking them both into darkness.
He heard the rustling of sheets as Jungkook settled in and in less than a few minutes, the room was filled with his soft, endearing snores.
Taehyung smiled again.
It had been a good day.
He knew what he had to do now. He knew what he wanted. He had a goal.
He would do whatever he had to do to win.
And Kim Taehyung always won.
