Fated Duet
Jungkook stepped through the threshold of the noisy, dimly lit building as his friend tugged on his arm harshly. They'd wanted to get him out of the house for one last party before he left for college. He'd be halfway across the globe for at least a year and they wouldn't be able to hang out like this for a long time.
Jungkook wasn't really in the mood to go out, since he had to get up early, but something in his gut told him that he didn't want to miss this opportunity. So here he was, standing by the bar and waiting on his drink to arrive. It was then that he noticed a slender figure from across the room, his silver hair illuminated under the flashing neon lights of the thriving club. It wasn't his intention to stare at another man, but his beauty was captivating to many eyes in the room. Jungkook shifted his weight onto the edge of the bar, watching the other dance to the rhythm of the music. He wanted to approach the other, his sun-kissed skin shimmering radiantly from the compacted bodies and heat. Jungkook turned toward the bartender, ordering two drinks in hopes that a little liquid courage would help him approach the other with confidence. He promptly downed one of the drinks, grabbing the other one as he turned toward the dance floor once again.
He wasn't great with large social gatherings like this and it petrified him to think of being rejected, but something about the other male was drawing him in. Calling to him in a sense as he swallowed his anxiety and stepped over towards the male still dancing obliviously to the rhythmic music reverberating through their bodies. Jungkook walked closer towards the other male, his body drawn to him as the other turned toward him with radiantly warm chocolate eyes. His come-hither expression was intoxicating to Jungkook as the other took the drink from Jungkook's hand. "Care to dance?" the other asked with a sultry voice, grinding his ass against Jungkook in the most sinful way. Jungkook didn't even care that this unknown male drank the drink he was going to sip as the silver-haired beauty twisted his body to face Jungkook.
That night Jungkook did not want to return home. He'd spent his entire time dancing with the strange and attractive man that now sat silently in his passenger seat. "Soooo, I never learned your name," Jungkook blurted out, earning a soft giggle from the silver-haired beauty. "It was too loud to hear anything," Jungkook defended, his face heated with embarrassment. The stranger offered a boxy smile, his eyes disappearing into cute crescent moons. "My name is Taehyung. And what's your name, stranger?" Taehyung asked and Jungkook stared at the other's effervescent beauty. His features were illuminated in the soft, pale moonlight as his skin gleamed effortlessly and his eyes shined bright with life. Jungkook didn't want to admit he was already this attracted to a man he barely knew, but he couldn't help himself. He was utterly and undeniably captivated by Taehyung.
"M- My name is Jungkook," Jungkook finally answered, gripping the steering wheel tighter in his hand. He wanted to hold Taehyung's hand instead but was certain the other would find that atrocious as Jungkook turned towards Taehyung. He'd parked his car near the edge of the building near a mountain ledge that overlooked the city as they both stared out at the milky night sky littered with luminous stars. "Do you believe in fate?" Jungkook finally asked as Taehyung thought about his question for a moment. Jungkook could feel the palms of his hands sweat as Taehyung remained silent for a long period of time, making Jungkook think he was a fool for inquiring about such nonsense. Finally, Taehyung opened his mouth to speak, his plump lips a cherry red that Jungkook found even more attractive- tempted to kiss him. "I may believe in fate," Taehyung whispered playfully, stretching his arms out in front of him. "Do you believe in fate?" Taehyung asked, countering the question towards Jungkook.
Jungkook honestly didn't know what to believe, but he was convinced that he was supposed to meet Taehyung tonight as he remained silent. He wanted to be honest and tell Taehyung he didn't believe in fairytale things, but then he'd be completely lying. "I- I don't know what to believe, honestly," Jungkook answered, turning to stare out toward the midnight blue sky and all the stars above. He rested his hands on the steering wheel to keep from snatching Taehyung's hands into his own and rested his chin on the back of his hand. He couldn't see the way Taehyung was staring at him with eyes full of love and intrigue as he was too focused on the night sky. Taehyung was quiet for a moment, trying to pull Jungkook back into the conversation. "Oh! Thank you for offering to give me a ride home! I could have walked home from here, but I do feel much safer with you beside me," Taehyung started as Jungkook snapped his attention back towards Taehyung. "You felt a lot more familiar to me than anyone else," Taehyung added softly, a light pink dusting his cheeks.
Jungkook offered a shy smile as he rubbed the back of his neck, realizing that Taehyung was just as nervous as he was right now. "It was no problem. I don't know if you noticed, but there were a lot of people watching you and I thought it'd be safer for you to have someone leave with you," Jungkook admitted as Taehyung smiled pleasantly at him. He leaned over the center console and placed a tender kiss on Jungkook's cheek before cocking a sly smile. "Are you sure you didn't have other intentions?" Taehyung asked teasingly as Jungkook's cheeks flared a radiant red color.
"N- No, I- I promise I didn't have any other intentions," Jungkook stammered out as Taehyung giggled at his shyness. "That's cute," Taehyung added, placing his chin in the plan of his hand and his elbow on Jungkook's console. "I mean, it feels like I've known you for a very long time," Taehyung whispered close to Jungkook's ear. "I wouldn't have denied you if you did have other intentions," Taehyung continued whispering, leaning in closer to Jungkook's ear. Jungkook hastily turned toward Taehyung and Taehyung could discern the inner conflict behind Jungkook's dark irises.
"I- I'm going to be studying abroad for a year! I couldn't just do something like that and leave you," Jungkook admitted softly, biting his lip as Taehyung smiled at his honesty. "You could have just lied and I would have never known," Taehyung expressed quietly, humming to himself as he thought of compromise. "Well, I admire your honesty and I admire that you don't want to take advantage of the situation. Sooooo how about we make out a little and you find me again after your study abroad is over," Taehyung suggested as Jungkook stared at Taehyung's cherry red lips.
Jungkook held his pinky finger out for Taehyung as he stared at it in surprise before wrapping his pinky around Jungkook's own and touching their thumbs together. "I promise, Tae," Jungkook whispered back as Taehyung felt a warm sensation spread throughout his chest. Never had he encountered such a gentleman as Jungkook. Many would have gladly taken Taehyung at his word but Jungkook was more refined and definitely someone he knew he wanted to be with more than anyone. He felt drawn to Jungkook as he leaned forward, pressing his lips against Jungkook's own.
Electricity ignited between them immediately as Jungkook cradled Taehyung's face in his hands, their lips melding together expertly. Taehyung climbed over the middle console, straddling Jungkook's waist as he felt Jungkook's tongue slide across his lower lip, inquiring permission to enter. Taehyung happily obliged as Jungkook slid his tongue inside Taehyung's wet cavern, their tongues dancing together before Jungkook's dominated Taehyung's mouth.
Jungkook's hands instinctively moved to grope Taehyung's perky ass, Taehyung moaning softly into the kiss. After some time, Taehyung pulled away from Jungkook to breathe, his delicate hands clutching Jungkook's broad shoulders as he inhaled deeply. "Mm, no good, now I want more of you," Taehyung declared unabashed, pouting as he kissed Jungkook's lips multiple times over. "Still no good," he whispered seductively between each kiss and Jungkook understood what Taehyung desired now.
"I'm sorry," Jungkook whispered huskily against Taehyung's lips, staring up at him with lust darkening his irises. "I wouldn't feel right about tarnishing a moment of beautiful intimacy by leaving for a whole year," Jungkook added as Taehyung nodded softly at his words and climbed back into the passenger's seat. "Your right," Taehyung responded softly, glancing out the window to see the sun cresting the horizon. Jungkook looked over to see vivid colors of orange, lilac-purple, and pink dusting the airy light blue sky and fluffy white clouds.
"It's almost time for me to leave anyway," Jungkook added dejectedly, staring over at Taehyung once more. His beauty was still as captivating to him now as it was the first time he'd noticed him, even with the sunrise just beyond him. Jungkook felt guilty leaving like this, but most of all, he felt lonely- aware that he'd be away from this beautiful human being for a very long time. "Wait for me?" Jungkook asked as Taehyung immediately turned his attention back towards Jungkook.
"How could you even ask that?" Taehyung asked softly as Jungkook's expression fell slightly, the words emotionally painful to him. "I wouldn't even think about anyone else now that I've found you," Taehyung added as Jungkook's eyes raised from his lap, wide with shock. Taehyung nodded firmly at Jungkook's words, giggling at the brunette's expression. "Of course, I'll wait for you," Taehyung declared as Jungkook leaned over and kissed him tenderly.
He started his car and with Taehyung directing him, dropped him off safely at home. With great hesitation, he waved goodbye, blowing a kiss to Taehyung, and navigated home to prepare to leave for college.

After a year and a half of being away from home and studying abroad, Jungkook was finally able to return. Immediately his phone was blowing up with texts about hanging out or going somewhere with friends, but he was only interested in one person at this very moment. He didn't know much about Taehyung and he couldn't remember where he lived, but he was damned and determined to find him.
He searched near the building where he first encountered Taehyung, a club that had shut down and was now a cafe. Jungkook huffed, annoyed that he still hadn't found him after searching for more than half the day and decided that a nice hot chocolate would help cheer him up. He sat down at a table for two, even though it was only him, and glanced over the menu for something to eat. He was hungry after hours of resisting the urge to eat something.
He heard the footsteps of his server approach and placed his order. Although he didn't hear his server walk away and lowered his menu to see a familiar smile. "Well, hey, stranger," the chipper voice greeted. "Long time no see. I was wondering when you were going to drop your menu to look at me," Taehyung added as Jungkook's eyes widened. The person he'd been searching for was working where they'd first met, even if the scenery had changed a bit.
Jungkook instantly stood to his feet and before Taehyung could react, Jungkook was cradling Taehyung's face in his hands and kissing the petite male with everyone watching. He didn't care. Taehyung dropped the notebook he used to take orders, wrapping his arms around Jungkook. "I missed you," Taehyung whispered as Jungkook wiped fresh tears from Taehyung's eyes using his thumbs. "I missed you too," Jungkook whispered before kissing Taehyung once again, not caring who was watching.
