The members had collectively decided to all go visit their parents while on a small vacation from work.

Unfortunately for Jimin and Jungkook, both of their parents were currently abroad. Jimin mentioned just staying at the dorm, but Jungkook convinced him they should go back to their hometown.

"It would still be fun to hang out in Busan for a bit," Jungkook told his hyung.

"And stay where?" Jimin asked.

"We could get a hotel," Jungkook told him, "There's a lot to do. We could go to one of the fairs they have or get their famous street food."

"Hmm..I guess that would be fun," Jimin agreed that he'd go with Jungkook for a few days. He was a sucker for whatever his maknae wanted to do.

"We could also visit the river or go white water rafting!" Jungkook said with excitement.

"Don't do that, that's dangerous," Taehyung chimed in. He was already all packed up to head back to his parents for the next few days.

"It would be fun, though," Jimin replied.

"Why not just do something less dangerous like .. swimming?" Taehyung pouted. He knew he'd be separated from his two best friends for a few days and he was having a little bit of anxiety about it. The members were so used to spending every waking moment together that they had all developed a bit of separation anxiety, but they knew it was still beneficial for them to spend some time apart when they could.

Jungkook turned to Jimin, "Why is hyung so boring?" Jungkook chuckled. Taehyung gave him a light slap on the shoulder as the two laughed together. Taehyung told him he hopes they have fun in Busan.

The time came for all the members to head out to their parents. Jimin and Jungkook had booked the hotel they'd be staying at and had to be the first to leave to make sure they made check-in on time. Everyone hugged eachother as they all headed off on their own adventures.

Taehyung arrived at his parents house a few hours later. His parents were more than excited to see him and told him all the things they had planned to do. But right now it was late, and Taehyung was tired.

He headed to his childhood bedroom where he'd be spending his stay. It was quite different than it used to be. His mom had turned it into a home office and guest bedroom so there was a small bed on one side and her office set up on the other. He threw his stuff down and got into his pajamas. He texted the group chat asking if everyone had arrived at their destinations safely.

Taehyung: Did everyone make it? I am at my parents

Namjooon: Got here a few hours ago!

Yoongi: ya

Jungkook: maybe we have, maybe we havent

Jimin: Don't listen to maknae we already checked into our hotel

Jin: I've already picked some watermelons and got some honey from my uncle

Hobi: yeeeeeessss. hyung can you bring home some of the watermelons

Jin: no

Taehyung chuckled at his phone. As much as he loved seeing his family, his members were also his family. He was going to miss them the next few days but he knew the time would pass quickly. He thought of some of the stuff his members had planned to do on their own little vacations. He remembered Jimin and Jungkook mentioned white water rafting and prayed that they were just joking about that because that really freaked him out.

He realized how tired he was and threw his phone onto the floor beside him, closing his eyes to fall asleep.

Taehyung was standing on the edge of a small cliff next to Jungkook and Jimin. They were on a vacation and decided to go sightseeing together. They heard that the waterfalls were beautiful so they wanted to see for themselves. Jungkook kept leaning too far forward to look down at the river and it was making Taehyung nervous.

"Stop leaning like that," Taehyung scolded.

"I'm just trying to look," Jungkook pouted. He leaned over again but this time he had lost his balance. Before he knew it Jungkook was falling into the river, and Jimin had tried to grab him but fell in too.

"No! Jungkook! Jimin!" Taehyung screamed. "Help! Help!"

He looked around and realized there were no longer any people as far as the eye could see. Where had all the people gone? The place had been crowded just a second ago. He looked down into the river to see Jungkook and Jimin both screaming for help as they kept going under the water. Taehyung didn't understand. His two fellow maknae liners were great swimmers, why couldn't they swim?!

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" Taehyung screamed. He jumped into the river after them. When he landed in the water, all of the sudden Jimin and Jungkook were gone. He screamed for help again but the only response was his own echo. He started diving under the water and frantically searched for his two best friends.

"Jungkookie?! Jiminie?!?!??" He screamed every time he would resurface.

He flailed his arms and caught something in both of his hands. Both of their shirts. He pulled them above the water and both of them were unconscious.

"No! I will save you! I will save you! I've got you!" Taehyung screamed. He wrapped both of them in his arms and somehow made it to land just by kicking his feet. He threw them both onto the shore below the cliffs they had just been standing on.

He didn't know who to do CPR on first, so he did it to both of them at the same time. He placed one hand on each of their chests and started chest compressions.

"Please wake up! Please wake up!" Taehyung screamed through tears. He quickly went back and forth between giving them both rescue breaths while trying to use all the energy he had left to give them chest compressions.

"Maknae please! Jimin I need you guys to please wake up!" Taehyung begged and pleaded. He panicked and began to shake them and scream at them but nothing was working. He quickly went back to CPR pumping their chests and giving them rescue breaths.

"Help! Somebody help me!" Taehyung screamed into the atmosphere. Like magic, an ambulance and paramedics appeared before him. Paramedics ran to him and took over CPR for his two brothers.

"Please save them. Don't let them die, you can't let them die. Please," Taehyung begged. He was sure by now that he'd cried more tears than the amount of water that filled the river beside them.

Taehyung watched for a lifetime waiting for the two to show any signs of life, but he was getting nothing. Eventually the paramedics stopped CPR.

"I'm sorry," one of the paramedics said to Taehyung. They then turned to the other paramedic, "Call time of death."

"What?! No! No! Death?! No! You can't let them die!" Taehyung screamed. He felt his body shake uncontrollably as he heart pumped right out of his chest.

"There is nothing more we can do," the paramedic said. Taehyung pushed both of them out of the way and started screaming at Jungkook and Jimin.

"Get up! You have to wake up!" He started shaking them both, "You can't leave me! You can't do this to me! You're my best friends! You can't die! We are supposed to stick together forever you can't do this to me!" he screamed. He kept trying to shake them awake until the paramedics came over and took both of them from Taehyung. Taehyung reached for them and started screaming.

"You can't take them! They can't leave me!" Taehyung cried.

The paramedics put white sheets over both Jungkook and Jimin.

"They can't die!" Taehyung screamed again through tears.

"I'm sorry, we couldn't save them."

"They can't die! They can't die! No! No! Kookie! Jimi-"

Taehyung had woken up drenched in sweat. He realized he couldn't breathe as he was screaming for his two brothers. He lay there hyperventilating staring into the darkness.

"Jimin...Jungkookie..." he whispered to himself. He was a mess of uncontrollable tears. He tried to catch his breath but it was hard as he recalled the nightmare he had just had. It took a moment for Taehyung to remember where he was and where his members were.

Vacation. Parents. Hotel.

Hotel in Busan.

Taehyung realized that he couldn't just run to Jimin and Jungkook and hug them like he would have if they were all home, but he was desperate to hear their voices to make sure they were okay. The nightmare had terrified him to no end. His chest felt hollow and empty just thinking about the possibility of something bad happening. He grabbed his phone and called Jungkook but got no answer. He tried Jimin's phone and got no answer. He tried to reach both of them over and over again.

Where the hell are they?! Panic started to fill his chest again. It wasn't like them to not pick up, even in the middle of the night. If someone called them multiple times they'd always pick up. More tears spilled out of his eyes as he panicked and told himself he needed to go check on them. He shot out of bed and grabbed a small bag he found. He hurriedly grabbed some of his clothes and threw them into the bag. He ran out of his room with it. He checked on his parents who were still fast asleep. He knew they'd wonder where he went but he told himself he'd call them later. Right now he had to go find Jungkook and Jimin. He ran to his car and sped to the train station as he cried. He prayed that the two were safe and okay. As he waited for the next train to Busan, which was due to come through within the next 20 minutes, he still kept trying to call them but got nothing. He even tried calling his other members but nobody was picking up.

He felt like the train wasn't going fast enough. He was impatient. He squirmed in his seat begging the train to go faster. He needed to get to that hotel, and he needed to get there now. When he reached his stop he ran off the train with his bag and didn't care to accidentally knock into people as he passed them. He found himself on the streets of Busan and screamed for a taxi on the road. One pulled over for him and he told them the hotel he needed to get to. He groaned when he was told the ride was about 25 minutes.

Taehyung told the driver to drive as quickly as possible, it was an emergency.

When he got to the hotel he ran to the man at the front desk asking what room Jimin and Jungkook were in. Normally the front desk wouldn't give someone that information but the man knew he was Taehyung, so he told him what room they were in. He ran to that room and started pounding aggressively on the door.

"Jungkookie?! Jimin?!" He screamed through the door. He kept knocking and knocking as hard as he could until finally he saw a light come on inside. The door opened to both Jungkook and Jimin rubbing their eyes. They were in their pajamas and had clearly just woken up.

"TaeTae?" Jimin grumbled as he wiped the sleep from his eyes. Taehyung immediately wrapped his arms around the both of them and began to cry all over again.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" Jungkook asked. He was extremely confused as to why his hyung had shown up in such a panic in the middle of the night.

"Where the hell were you two?! I've been calling you for hours! It's not a crime to answer the phone you know! Are you two trying to give me a heart attack?!" Taehyung scolded them as he entered in their room.

"Sleeping also isn't a crime, hyung. We went to sleep. Our phones were on silent," Jungkook told him.

Taehyung pulled them back into a hug and squeezed them tightly. He never wanted to let go.

"Thank God you two are okay!!!" he cried.

"Tae what happened?" Jimin asked confused. "Here, come sit down," Jimin said gesturing to the bed. The three of them sat on the bed as Taehyung was still a mess of tears. He began to tell them all about his nightmare and how the two had fallen into a river and he tried to save them but it was too late and they had both died. Just the memory of it made his entire chest ache with agony.

"Oh no...hyungie....we're okay," Jungkook pouted as he rubbed Taehyung's back, "It was just a nightmare. I promise we're fine."

"I was so scared," Taehyung sniffled, "And-and-and.. when you two didn't pick up the phone I thought maybe it wasn't a d-dream," Taehyung tried to catch his breath, "I can't imagine it being real. I don't know what I would do if you two ever died. If any of you ever died. If that happened I'd just end my own life."

"Hey hey hey, don't talk like that," Jimin said while hugging Taehyung.

"Hyungie even if something happened to us that doesn't mean we wouldn't want you to continue living your own life to the fullest. I agree with Jimin hyung, don't talk like that. It scares me," Jungkook pouted as he leaned his head onto Taehyung's shoulder.

Taehyung wiped away what was left of his tears. He had finally started to calm down now that he knew his two best friends were completely fine and not laying dead by the water. He pulled them both back into a tight hug and they sat like that for a while. They'd only been separated for less than a day and Taehyung realized it had felt like an eternity.

"Please never leave me," Taehyung asked.

"We would never do that to you. We'll always be here right by your side. All of us. Until we're all old and gray and wrinkly," Jimin laughed and smiled. He got a chuckle out of Taehyung too.

Jungkook yawned, "Now that you know we're okay, you should try to get some more sleep hyung," Jungkook suggested. Taehyung nodded and asked if they could all cuddle up in the same bed in which they all agreed.

They cuddled up under the covers and Jimin and Jungkook kept reminding Taehyung that it was all a bad dream and they were all safe. Jimin said he must've had that nightmare because he was worried about the white water rafting thing, in which he informed Taehyung that it had been a joke. They didn't plan to actually do it.

"I want you guys to come stay with me at my parents," Taehyung said. He knew he packed a bag and brought it with him to go see Jungkook and Jimin, but figured it'd be fun to all go back to his own parents house. He would have a lot more fun visiting his mom and dad if he had his two best friends by his side.

"That could be fun. Would they be okay with that?" Jungkook asked.

"Of course," Taehyung whispered. He was so tired he could feel his body already drifting back into dream land.

"Then count us in," Jimin grabbed Taehyung's hand as the younger was falling asleep, "Because like I said before,

We will never leave you."
