Looking at the clock which hung on the freshly painted cream walls i waited in anticipation.
Constantly tapping my foot on the ground i sat on the sofa waiting for Taehyung's arrival.
He was an hour late
An hour late from returning home from work. He didn't even tell me that he was running late or having gotten caught up with work or let alone even getting stuck in traffic.
He left me to worry for the time he was gone.
Sighing deeply I grew impatient, i'd had enough of waiting around for him to show. Standing to my feet I exited the living room, heading into the hallway of your house.
Hearing the heavy chimes of a set of house keys made me turn my attention towards the door.
Standing with my arms crossed i watched as Taehyung finally entered the house.
Usually seeing him after a long day would turn my frown turn upside down, but today was different.
Very different.
Standing from afar I watched closely as he removed his coat and placed his bags onto the ground.
Clearing my throat i decided to finally speak up.
"Tae" i called as i slowly approached him.
Hearing a grunt escape from his lips he turned to me, his expression cold and unbothered by my presence. "Tae" I called. "What's wrong?" I asked as i slowly lifted your arms, in aid to cup his cheeks.
Uninterested he grabbed my hands he threw them back and down to my side.
"Just leave me alone y/n" he replied.
I was taken back from his sudden words, something had gone wrong.
Standing to the side Taehyung began to walk away from me, watching him fade away heading upstairs and into the bedroom made me feel empty.
Biting my lower lip I knew I couldn't let this slide, so I decided to go after him.
Opening the bedroom door I saw him sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands. "Babe, is there something bothering you? Did something happen at work today?" Sighing deeply Taehyung looked up to me.
"You y/n. You are what's bothering me" he shouted making me stop in my tracks.
"Can't you just leave me alone for once?" He asked as his voice began to grow louder. Feeling the anger within begin to rise I knew I couldn't let Taehyung speak to me like this. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Taehyung chuckled dryly I rested my hands onto my hips.
"What's wrong with me?" He asked standing from the bed and walking toward me. "What the fuck is wrong with you y/n? You are so fucking clingy all the time, wherever I go you're there. You always latch onto me like a fucking little lost child. Don't you understand how suffocating it is?" He then laughed a little. "I wish you were like my ex Mia. At least she understood the concept of leaving me the fuck alone."
Upon finishing his harsh statement a small tear began to roll down my cheek.
As he turned back around I quickly wiped it away, not even wanting to look at him. Laying down onto the bed Taehyung turned over so his back was now facing me.
As I felt more tears fall down my cheeks I quickly turned away and left the bedroom. Heading toward our spare-room at the opposite side of the house I covered my mouth so Taehyung couldn't hear me, yet I was sobbing uncontrollably inside.
My chest felt heavy, I felt betrayed, I felt unloved I felt...nothing.
He compared me to his ex, the girl who went behind his back and slept with someone else. She was disgusting, she was evil, she left the man who loved her dear. She left him to pick up all the lost pieces, she left him thinking where he had gone wrong all that time.
Yet...throughout all his hardships I was the one who supported him, I was the one who held his head high and continued to love him with every piece I had.
Closing the door to the cold bedroom I switched on the bedside table light, letting it vividly brighten up the room.
As I began to wonder around I couldn't help but lock eyes with a small white photo frame, a small frame which had a photo of myself and Taehyung inside.
The photo was from our bestfriends wedding just a few weeks back.
He was one of the groomsman while I was the maid of honour, we looked so happy. We were happy.
Holding the frame into my hands I couldn't help but rethink about what Taehyung had said, his horrible words which pushed me away.
'You are so fucking clingy all the time'
'I wish you were like my ex Mia'
Placing the frame back down my inner self began to brake, the hidden sobs let themselves free. Holding my hand over my mouth once again I collapsed down onto the bed.
The continuous tears fell down my soft cheeks and onto my legs.
That was when my voice began to quaver. It was becoming unsteady, a little like a stutter.
Now I was now the person sitting alone thinking where I had gone wrong. Did Taehyung really think I was clingy, did he really wish I was someone else?
Looking out of the window the sun had began to set. The pale tint of orange shone through the sky. Every sunset brought a promise to a new dawn.
Lying further back onto the bed I opened up the bed covers letting myself slide into it, the cold yet warm mattress inviting me in.
Letting my head rest onto the pillows my body finally relaxed itself.
As my eyes began to close in peace i couldn't help but reach down and slowly pull of my engagement ring.
Placing it onto the bedside table the last thing I saw was the ring shining right at me.
The ring that Taehyung had placed onto my finger a few months back. The ring that he promised to love me forever with, the ring that would never break our bond.
I guess I was wrong.
Taehyung's POV:
Feeling a sudden emptiness next to me made my body jolt up right. Looking around the room the feeling of panic immediately flew upon me.
As I pushed myself off the bed and stood to my feet realisation suddenly hit me.
As a small whimper escaped my lips the flashback of just a mere few hours ago repeated in my head. Like a piece of music was on repeat and I couldn't get it out of my head.
Running my hands over my face I let out an agitated groan. "You ass" I cursed toward myself as I paced around the bedroom. "Why?" I asked myself. Why?
Heading to the exit I twisted on the door handle and left the bedroom.
Walking out onto a pitch black hallway I immediately began to feel around the painted walls for the light switch.
Gasping softly I switched it down, letting the bulb light up the whole area I was standing in.

After searching each and every room y/n was nowhere to be found. Calling her name in fear my chest began to grow heavy.
"Y/n" I shouted as I stood in the centre of the house.
"Baby, answer me" I demanded, my voice weakening.
"I'm sorry" I spoke with a whisper as the tears began to run.
Turning on my heel I made my way back to the bedroom.
Switching off the lights I let my body fall into the now cold blankets.
But little did Taehyung know was that y/n was closer then he thought.
Your POV:
The day dawned crisp and clear. The sun poured through my window awaking me from my deep slumber.
Stretching out my body the occasional bones popped making me feel less knotted.
As I rubbed my eyes I couldn't help but feel even more tired then ever before. I even felt a little disoriented.
I guess all that crying made me even more drained.
Rolling my body over the welcoming sun began to pour into the room, lighting it up. It even lit up my engagement ring that sat on the beside table.
Starring at it with no emotion I knew I would have to face the day.
Looking over to the clock it read 9am.
Taehyung would already be at work by now.
Removing myself from the bed I grabbed my ring before leaving the room. Opening up the door I hesitantly peaked outside, the house was silent.
Stepping out I closed the door behind me and made my way along the hallway, down the stairs and into the kitchen.
Once I entered the room I opened up the cupboard and reached up grabbing a plain white mug.
"Where's your ring?" Jolting in fright the mug suddenly slipped out of my hands, causing it to smash onto the ground. Hearing a gasp escape from Taehyung's lips he ran to my aid, pulling me away from the glass.
Without saying a word he hoisted me up and onto the kitchen counter.
Holding onto my leg he inspected the small traces of blood which poured out from each cut.
Without releasing his grip he turned back and reached for a damp cloth.
Gently wiping the blood he picked out the remaining pieces of glass which were stuck inside my shin.
Hissing in pain Taehyung reassured me with a soft 'shh' sound.
But still no words were exchanged.
Once he was finished he placed the cloth onto the counter and released my leg from his grip.
As my legs dangled over the edge Taehyung was the first one to finally speak.
Reaching up he held my small hands in his, making me look up to his soft gaze.
This was the first time we made eye contact since last night.
"Y/n" he whispered. "I am so sorry about last night. I didn't know what came over me, I was angry and I took it out all on you. I was wrong to say what I said. I was even more wrong by comparing you to my ex. I really hope you can forgive me."
Looking lovingly into my eyes they were the same as his, red, puffy and bloodshot.
Biting my lip I let my engagement ring slip out of my hand and into his.
"Is this how you've felt this whole time? You really think I'm clingy and that I should be like Mia your ex?" The tears began to shed as I felt my heart shatter with each word I spoke.
"Angel" Taehyung cooed as he cupped my cheek with his empty hand. "You know that I would never want you to be like her, she broke my heart and left me. I promise that I didn't mean any of this. I didn't mean to break you, I didn't mean to break us. please forgive me." His voice began to brake.
"But you still said what you said" I fought, "I don't know how quick I'll be able to forgive you. What you said really hurt me Taehyung, hence why I removed the ring." I spoke gesturing down to the ring which was now wrapped up in his hands.
"Please" he begged. "I love you with all that I am. Please put your ring back on." He spoke with plea.
Looking down I held out my left hand for Taehyung to take, as he placed the ring back onto my finger I spoke up.
"I love you" I admitted as I lifted me head up to him. "I know that once we get married in the future we will think back to this and laugh it off." Taehyung laughs a little.
"But" I paused. "You ever compare me to that bitch again there will be consequences."
Wrapping my arms around his body a small smile formed onto my lips, as it did with Taehyung's.
