Business

"Darling, wake up" your mother cooed softly. "It's your first day of your new job." Placing her hand onto your arm she nudged you gently. As your sleeping body began to wake you turned to her, "but I thought I started next week?" Your mother perched herself on the edge of your bed.

"That you were meant to yes, but your father thought it would be a good idea to start today. We have a business party coming up and we want you to be settled in." She replied with a smile.

Looking over to the clock it read 7:00am. "Now come on, get up, get washed and get dressed. I'm just making breakfast so be down before it gets cold." Kissing your forehead she then left the room.

Collapsing onto the bed you stretched out your body. "Thank god I went to bed early" you spoke to yourself.

8am

You walked down the stairs in a black pencil skirt, black shirt and black heels, today was an all black attire day.

Walking into the kitchen the smell of bacon flew up your nasal passage. "There's my girl" your dad welcomed with a smile. "You look lovely dear" your mother chimed. "Wasn't exactly prepared so I grabbed the first items I saw." You replied as you approached the table. "Plus I don't exactly know the dress code."

Pulling the newspaper down from his face your father turned to you. "As long as your dressed smart and appropriately turn your mother and I cannot complain."
Placing the plates onto the table you all began to eat the delicious breakfast your mother made.

At the Office

"Good morning Mr and Mrs y/l/n." A handsome gentleman welcomes from behind the reception desk. "Good morning Namjoon" Your father greets. "And who is this lovely young lady?" He asks.

"Namjoon meet our daughter y/n, this is her first day here." Your mother introduces as a dimpled smile grew on his lips. "Namjoon is the receptionist here." Your father adds. Holding out your hand you smiled at him, "it's nice to meet you Namjoon hope we can become good friends." Accepting the hand shake he looked into your eyes. "Likewise."

"Y/n me and your mother have some meetings to attend too, in the meantime we will leave you with Namjoon. He's going to help you get set up with your documents and photo ID." Your father speaks. "Once your finished come and find us on the thirtieth floor."

You nodded, "Sure, have a good meeting." Waving then goodbye you watched them head for the elevators.
Turning to Namjoon he had a smile on his face. "Let's go get you set up."

Once you both walked into a room Namjoon directed you to stand against the white background to have your photo taken.

"Do I have to smile or?" You asked as Namjoon stood behind the camera, "Whatever you like" he replies. "Your smile is beautiful so go for that." Holding a gentle smile you waited for him to count you down.

Hearing the shutter sound of the camera Namjoon pulled away, inspecting the photograph. "Nice, let's get that printed."
Heading over to the printer he collected the photo and slid it into the land-yard.

"So this is now yours. This ID card will get you in and out of the buildings and also into certain rooms. Please keep it safe." He states sternly. "Of course, thank you" you say as you place the land-yard over your head.

30 minutes later

Walking you to the elevators Namjoon smiles happily. "Welcome to the business y/n." He welcomes as the doors chime open. "Thank you Namjoon, also do you know what room my parents are in?" He chuckled "You'll know, trust me" he winks before the doors close and the lifts begins to travel upwards.

Ding

"Well Namjoon wasn't wrong" you whispered to yourself as you stepped out and into a huge room.
Scanning the room you caught glimpse of your mother and father speaking to a tall guy in a black suit.

Your mouth fell ajar at his appearance, his jet black hair was neat and styled perfectly. His suit fitted his broad body like a glove and his smile lit up the room.

Your parents seems very fond of this guy.

Clearing your mouth you approached them. "Mum. Dad" you called, pulling their attention toward you. "Ah y/n you're here" your mother smiles happily. "Taehyung this is my daughter y/n, y/n meet Mr Kim he's one of our chief executives here" you father introduced.

"It's nice to finally meet you, I've heard a lot about you." Mr Kim says holding out his hand. Accepting his hand shake you smiled, "all good things I hope?" you joke. "Of course" he adds.

"How long have you been working here?" You ask as your parents leave you both to chat. "Since I was 20 I'm 24 now, well-nearly 25" he answers.

"That's a long time, you must really enjoy it here?" He smiled. "Yes very much so, your parents are great to work with." "Yeah they are" you agree as you turn around to see them speaking to another colleague.

"So will you be attending the business party at the end of the month?" Mr Kim asked as he scratched the back of his head. "Hopefully, I just need to find a outfit."

"Of course" he agreed. "Do you know what department you'll be working in?" He asked softly. "Yes I'm in marketing." You replied, his eyes lighting up. "That's great, that's the same as me" he spoke in excitement. "Well, I'm the main executive for that department" he added, his voice much deeper.

"Well hopefully I won't get on your bad side" you chuckled. "I doubt you will, you seem determined." "Indeed I am."

Few Weeks Later

"Hi y/n" Mr Kim greeted. "How are you getting on with that PowerPoint presentation?" He asked as he approached your desk. Leaning back into the chair you rubbed your temples with your fingertips. "It's a little difficult as I want to make sure I include all the right things."

As he placed one arm onto the back of your chair the other held onto the mouse of your computer. His breathing sent shivers down your spine.

These past few weeks had been great but you couldn't help but feel as though wherever you went Mr Kim arranged to be in the same place at the same time. With every task you did or movement you made Mr Kim kept his eye on you.
At times it would often make you feel uncomfortable but who were you to complain, you would do the same back.
If he entered the room your eyes would be immediately glued to him.

"Other then that it's a great presentation."
Shaking your head you came out of your thoughts. "Sorry what did you say?" you asked innocently.

"Did you just completely ignore what I said?" He asked strongly. Your eyes widening, your hands becoming sweaty. "N-no Mr Kim, just looking at this screen all day made my eyes blur." You joked in hope he wouldn't notice.

"Well then, would you care to repeat back what I just said?" You itched your head. "Y-you said slide five needed some work?"

"You know, I don't like it when people lie to me y/n, especially as I'm your boss." Your eyes widened. "So, I'm going to repeat what I just said and you're going to listen." "Yes Mr Kim" you replied. "Good girl" he praised making you gulp.

As you were typing away on your laptop a soft knock was heard on your bedroom door. "Come in" you spoke without adverting your eyes away from the screen.

"Darling" your mother cooed causing you to stop typing, turning your attention to her. "Hi mum, is everything ok?" She nodded. "Of course" placing a black dress carrier onto your bed she smiled. "What's this?" You enquired as you stood from your chair, walking over to your bed.

"I know you haven't had the time to go out and by yourself a dress so myself and your father brought you one. Whilst we were on our lunch break yesterday we walked past this boutique and thought it would look perfect for you."

You were shocked, this the first time your parents had ever brought you an item of clothing and without your opinion.

"Go try it on and come downstairs and show me and your father" she spoke before leaving the room.
Watching the door close you turned to the dress.
As you unzipped the carrier a bright red dress peaked out.
"Wow" you whispered.

Changing out of your lounge wear you stepped into the dress and zipped it all the way up, with no assistance needed.
Standing in front of your mirror your eyes shone brightly, you looked like a goddess.

Leaving your room you made sure to walk down the stairs with care.
Walking into your fathers study you coughed to grab their attention.
"What do you think?" You asked in hope.
"You look absolutely beautiful" "My little girl" your parents spoke as they looked at their beautiful daughter who was all grown up.

"We did good" your mother smiled at your father.

Day of the Party

"Good morning y/n" Namjoon welcomed as you walked into the building. "Hey Namjoon, how are you?" You chimed, his cute smile forming brightly. "I am very well how--" "Y/n?"
Yourself and Namjoon looked aside to see Mr Kim walking towards you, he had a dark grey suit on with one hand in his pocket.

"Good morning Mr Kim" you and Namjoon spoke in unison. "Namjoon, do you have the checklist ready for tonight?" He nodded, "Yes, it's being printed as we speak." Mr Kim smiled, "great, you may now continue with your work. Y/n" he spoke turning to you. "I need to speak with you in my office."

Nodding in acceptance you waved Namjoon goodbye as you followed Mr Kim up to his office.

"Have a seat" Mr Kim demanded as he held the door open for you. Taking a seat in front of his desk you looked over to him. "Is everything ok Mr Kim?" You asked in concern as he took a seat in front of you.

"Yes y/n everything is fine" you frowned. "Then what seems to be the problem?" "Namjoon is the problem" he admitted. "I want you to stay away from him." You laughed in disbelief, "what do you mean? He's my work colleague. I also can't stay away from him when he's the receptionist."

Mr Kim sighed. "I respect that but I see his intentions, if anything happens I want you to come straight to me do you understand?"
You shook your head. "I'm sorry Mr Kim but are you implying that he's flirting with me?" He crossed his arms, "yes y/n and I want you to stay away."

Something clicked from within you.
Standing from your chair you looked down to Mr Kim in disgust. "I'm sorry Mr Kim but you do not get to choose I communicate with let alone friend them. You are not my parents and you certainly do not tell me what to do. I am my own person and I'm the only one who chooses my decisions, I'm not going to listen to a pathetic boss like you. I'll be leaving."

Heading for the door and opening it wide you turned to Mr Kim, who looked at you with his mouth ajar, guilt in his eyes.
"Oh and for your information he's engaged." Slamming the door shut you headed back to your office. Anger flowing within you.

"Darling are you ready?" Your father asks as he enters your bedroom. "Yeah" you mumble softly, not making eye contact with him.
Seeing your posture his heart sank a little, approaching your small frame he sat beside you.

"Don't worry about what Taehyung said earlier." You looked up to your father. "He had no right to say what he said, I'll have a word with him when I'm in the office with him next week." You nodded.
"Please don't tell mum, I know how worried she'll get." He nodded. "I won't, now let's head to the party and have some fun hm?"

Holding out his hand you placed your small hand into his. "You look beautiful" he smiles. "Thanks dad" you chime as you all leave the house.

Once you all arrived at the party everyone began to greet you.

"Wow, you look beautiful" Turning on your heel you were met with a close colleague called Yunho. "Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself." You grinned as you looked at his fresh black tux and blonde coloured hair.

"Why don't you spend time with with him?" Your father whispers from behind you. "Would you like to grab a drink?" He asks as he takes your hand. "I would love too."

As you began to walk though the crowd, someone's dark brown eyes were watching you.

Mr Kim

"Oh my gosh no way" you laughed as Yunho told you his story of how he and his fellow bandmates embarrassed themselves during an interview. "It's true" he giggled.

"Ok but why do you still work here when you could be out and achieving your dreams?" You asked Yunho, "Well we haven't exactly hit it off straight away so I'm just biding my time here until we have the proper get go from the entertainment company we want to work with."

You nodded in agreement. "Well I hope you do, just don't forget me." you teased, "I would never" he smiled.

"Ah darling, there you are" your mother called as she finally found you after searching for over fifteen minutes. "Hi mum" "Mr Kim would like to see you." She spoke as he looked into your eyes, "Ok, I'll see you later Yunho" you waved as you walked away.

Heading into one of the spare rooms you saw Mr Kim standing in front of the window, his hands in his pockets. "You wanted to see me" you called bluntly.

Mr Kim turned upon hearing your voice. "Yes. I wanted to apologise for what I said earlier this morning. I have no right in telling you what to do and who you would be around." He said with a sincere tone. You, however crossed your arms over your chest, scoffing slightly. "Yeah you shouldn't have, can I leave now?"

"Why are you acting like this?" He asked softly. "Really? You're taking it down that route."

"I was jealous ok" he admits. Your eyes softening, "I didn't like how close you and Namjoon were." "But why, I said he was engaged?" You asked with a whisper.

"Because I want you to be mine y/n."
