"Jungkook, baby, I love you but it's already senior year," Jin said, combing through Jungkook's hair. Jungkook had his head rested in Jin's lap and sniffled as tears continued to roll down his face.

"He doesn't even know who I am, hyung," Jungkook sniffled, sparing a glance up at Jin empathetically. Jin sighed and fought back the urge to roll his eyes.

"More reason as to why you should get over him," Jin said, reaching over Jungkook to hand the boy another tissue.

"But still," Jungkook whined, blowing his nose into the tissue. Jin grimaced at the sound of snot.

"At this point you might as well become a cheerleader," Jin said as he rolled his eyes. Again.

Jungkook stopped sniffling for a moment and stared up at Jin. "What?" he asked, reaching for another tissue and wiping his red eyes.

"I mean, think about it. The cheerleaders are stereotypically known for being fucking with the football players, and they're basically around each other 24/7," Jin said. Jungkook nodded but furrowed his eyebrows. He hated that it made sense.

"I-I don't think I have the self-confidence to be a cheerleader, Hyung," Jungkook mumbled, immediately wrapping his hands around his waist. Jin shrugged and sat Jungkook up, then stood up himself and stretched.

"Well, it was just an idea. You shouldn't take it to heart, I was just trying to cheer you up but nothing was really working," Jin said, grabbing another box of tissues and putting it near Jungkook.

"Now, I have to go make up a Calculus test because Ms. Nam is dumb," Jin mumbled, handing a blanket and Jungkook's glasses to the boy. "Text Jimin if you need anything, ok?"

Jungkook nodded, wrapping himself in the blanket and grabbing the remote. Jin looked down at him and ruffled his hair, a fond smile spreading across his face. "And don't worry about Taehyung, he's just some dumb jock you'll get over eventually," Jin teased before heading out without another word.

Jungkook sighed and fell back into the couch. He turned the tv on and scrolled through a few movies, purposefully avoiding the romantic and sad ones because he knew he would start crying.

"A cheerleader, huh?"

"No fucking way."

"Come on, Hyung, it's not that bad of an idea-"

"Jeon Jungkook, you're officially a dumbass. Your 272883 AP credits do not change the fact that you're a dumbass," Jimin signed, pinching the bridge of his nose and leaning back in his chair.

Jungkook pursed his lips together and glanced around the cafeteria, making sure that Jin or any of their other friends were nowhere to be seen.

"But-"

"No."

"Hyung-"

"No." Jimin stares Jungkook directly in the eye. "Why would you want to become a cheerleader? Don't you understand how bitchy and gross they are? Plus, who knows how many STDs are on the football field..."

"But this is my one chance to get close to Taehyung!" Jungkook said, blushing when he realized that he said it a little louder than he needed to.

"I disagree. You two sit next to each other in AP Bio-"

"But this is different. Plus, I think I'd be able to pass the tryouts," Jungkook added, still glancing around the cafeteria nervously. Jimin stared at him with a look of disappointment spewing from his pores.

"Explain," Jimin began, running his hands through his hair, "because I'm definitely not catching your drift."

"Ok, well, I'm flexible." Jimin pursed his lips together. "I can dance," Jungkook added, and Jimin looked down at the table. "A-And I have a pretty decent looking body, even if I'm not very confident with it-"

"Jin-Hyung told you all of this, didn't he?"

"...Yeah," Jungkook said sadly, pushing the glasses up on his nose as he slouched in his seat. Jimin sighed and leaned back in his chair.

"Kooks, you really should be getting over this Kim-Taehyung-obsession of yours," Jimin said. Jungkook nodded sadly and looked down at his hands, picking at his cuticles.

"Buuuuuut, I'll support you if you want me to," Jimin added, looking at Jungkook with a sad smile. Jungkook's entire face lit up and he sat up taller in his seat.

"R-Really?" he asked, his eyes going wide like a child's. Jimin smiled and nodded again. "Really. You... you mean a lot to me, Kooks."

"Thanks, Jimin!" Jungkook said, hopping up out of his chair and throwing his arms around Jimin's neck. Jimin's eyes went wide and his shoulders tensed, but he relaxed and returned the gesture, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's waist.

"Anytime, Kooks."

"Jimin-Hyung I'm scared."

"Don't be a little bitch. You did this to yourself."

Jungkook stood in front of the doors to the gym. The words "cheerleading tryouts" were sprawled in bright yellow letters across the door. Jungkook turned back to Jimin and took in a deep breath, adjusting the glasses on his nose before reaching out for the door handle.

"Hyung, I really can't do it!"

"Kooks, I cant really help you right now. You're the one that wanted to do this, after all," Jimin said, looking at the concrete path that led to the gym distantly.

"I-I know, but I'm really scared," Jungkook said, his hands come close to each other and itching for his cuticles.

Jimin looked up from the ground sadly and reached out for Jungkook's shoulder. He gave it a reassuring squeeze and pulled Jungkook in for a tight hug. Jungkook hesitated, but closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down.

"O-Okay, I think I'm ready," Jungkook mumbled, pushing away from Jimin. Jimin smiled sadly again but nodded, giving Jungkook one last fist bump before turning on his heel and heading back to the school complex.

Jungkook stared at the doors again and took in a deep breath. He reached out and gripped the handle softly, feeling his heart race inside his chest.

"It's ok, no one knows me here anyways..." he mumbled, and swung the door open.
