Prom.

"The end of senior year is nigh!" Hoseok practically shouted from his side of the room. Jungkook chuckled and Jimin shot him a weird look, but ended up in a fit of laughter anyways.

Jungkook's group of friends had a special tradition. They ditched prom. In their own unique way.

They would get dressed up and go out to eat pizza. They wouldn't bother going to the dance after and would instead find themselves at a park or at a gas station late at night.

And Taehyung was invited to this year's prom-ditching.

"Oho, Jungkookie's wearing makeup," Hoseok teased, smiling at Jungkook while he made a mess of his tie. Jungkook rolled his eyes and continued to lather on lipstick, watching Jimin fuss over Hoseok's tie behind him.

"Do you know when Namjoonie-hyung and Jin-hyung are getting here?" Jungkook asked, pushing the lazy lump on the ground that was Yoongi with his foot.

Yoongi groaned and opened his phone, wrinkling his fancy suit in the process. Hoseok frowned and was about to say something, but was ultimately cut off by Jimin choking him with his tie.

"Kinky," mumbled Yoongi. Hoseok's face flushed and Jimin only smirked.

"They said they'll be here in five minutes," Yoongi groaned, sitting up off the floor. Jungkook nodded and added the finishing touches to his look before grabbing his phone and spamming for Taehyung.

"When's your Taehyungie getting here?" Jimin teased. Jungkook sent a pillow flying in Jimin's direction, but missed sadly, and instead pouted with red lips.

"He said he's almost here," Jeongguk mumbled, feeling his heart begin to beat faster. Hoseok cooed at him and Jimin started messing with Jungkook's bowtie.

"Do you know if Taehyung bought you a boutonniere-" Jimin began, but was cut off by the doorbell ringing.

"Taehyungie!" Jungkook practically screamed, hopping up without giving Jimin a chance to let go of his bowtie. He choked for a second, but coughed it off and ran to the front door.

Jungkook's heart was beating so loudly that he was afraid Taehyung might even hear. So he took in a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down and get rid of the possible redness in his face, before opening the front door.

"Taehyungie!" he screamed again, jumping into the man's arms as soon as he saw Taehyung on the other side of the door. Taehyung smiled at him, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's waist in response.

"Hey, Jungkookie," he mumbled against Jungkook's hair, pressing a soft kiss into the boy's scalp. Jungkook giggled and un-attached himself from Taehyung, since he was clinging onto him so tightly, and let him inside the house.

Taehyung held two small boxes in his hands. Jungkook gave him a weird look, and he held one out to Jungkook anxiously. "S-Surprise!" Taehyung smiled as Jungkook opened the box.

Jungkook's mouth fell open cutely, and he looked up at Taehyung with big, almost teary eyes. In the box was an orange boutonniere. It looked simple for the most part, but with a single tiger lily and a few leaves around it.

"T-Taehyung!" Jungkook squealed, immediately wrapping his arms around him again. Taehyung giggled and set the two boxes down, hugging Jungkook close to him.

"You're welcome-" he began, but was cut off by the weight of Jungkook's lips. Taehyung's eyes widened, but he let them fall closed slowly as he lost himself in the feeling of Jungkook's soft lips.

Taehyung pulled away, realizing that Jungkook literally wasn't breathing, and looked at the boy's breathless expression. He smiled down at Jungkook and helped him put his boutonniere on.

"Are you guys ready to go? Jin-hyung and Namjoon are outside," Yoongi asked, coming into the room with Jimin and Hoseok in tow. Jungkook nodded, his hands placed awkwardly on Taehyung's chest as he put Taehyung's boutonniere on.

"You didn't get me a boutonniere," Jimin whined to Hoseok. Hoseok rolled his eyes, but Jungkook could see deep down that what Jimin said bothered Hoseok.

Jungkook glanced around the house and saw a few flowers scattered around. He smiled and waved inconspicuously at Hoseok, getting his attention and pointing to the flowers. Hoseok smirked and then the doorbell rang.

"If you guys don't hurry up we're driving off without you!" Jin yelled as soon as Yoongi opened the door. Jungkook giggled and grabbed Taehyung's hand, running out to the SUV they rented and dragging Taehyung into the backseat.

"You guys better not be making out back there," Namjoon teased from the front. Jungkook giggled and Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows at him. Namjoon sighed as the others piled in.

Jungkook's heart was racing with excitement, and in no time, the group found themselves at the small pizza place.

"Are we eating outside?" Taehyung asked, following everyone into the restaurant with Jungkook's hand in his. Yoongi mumbled something about being cold but was eventually overruled.

"I'll go in and order the pizza," Namjoon said, taking his wallet and leaving the six other boys at the table. Jungkook looked at Taehyung with big eyes. Taking in a shaky breath, he nervously intertwined his fingers with Taehyung's under the table.

Taehyung didn't even blink, and held Jungkook's hand tightly.

Jungkook wasn't really listening to what everyone was saying. He was too absorbed in Taehyung sitting next to him. Everyone else at the table noticed, but didn't bother commenting on it. They were happy that their little bunny was happy.

Soon, Namjoon came back with three pizzas in his hands. Hoseok mumbled something about them eating more than that, and Taehyung offered to buy more. Jungkook smiled and grabbed a slice of pizza, keeping his hand locked with Taehyung's.

An older couple walked out of the pizza restaurant with a little take out bag, and stopped and smiled in front of their table.

"Are we getting dessert?" Jungkook asked, staring at the empty pizza trays. His hand still held Taehyung's tightly.

"No, lets just get frozen yogurt by the park," Jimin mumbled, wiping his hands with a napkin and then throwing the napkin at Hoseok.

Jungkook giggled. "Sounds like a plan."

They all piled back into the SUV and Jin drived them to the park they always go to for prom. Jungkook held onto Taehyung tightly in the back, even going as far as to put his head on Taehyung's shoulder. Taehyung didn't mind, and Jimin snapped a picture.

"Okay, we're here," Namjoon said, quickly getting out of the SUV. Jungkook scurried over to him.

"Can you get me my frozen yogurt?" Jungkook asked, pulling the puppy dog eyes out. Namjoon looked at him with his lips pursed together but sighed. He reached out and rubbed Jungkook's head, muttering out an annoyed "yes".

"Thanks, hyung!" he squeaked, patting down his hair and running over to Taehyung. Taehyung smiled down at him and took Jungkook's hand in his.

"What are we gonna do now?" he asked, looking down at Jungkook. Jungkook pursed his lips together and thought for a moment, watching his friends walk off to get frozen yogurt.

"I have an idea," Jungkook mumbled, pulling out his phone. He scrolled through for a bit and then smirked, putting on a slow song. He stuck his phone back in his pocket and smiled up at Taehyung.

Taehyung quirked an eyebrow at Jungkook. Jungkook only smiled, wrapping his arms around Taehyung's neck and starting to sway along with the music.

"Really?" Taehyung teased, placing his hands on Jungkook's waist. Jungkook giggled and let Taehyung spin him around in the dimly lit park.

"Isn't this better than going to prom?" Jungkook asked, moving a little closer to Taehyung. Taehyung nodded and held Jungkook close, moving suspiciously to Jungkook's neck.

"Being around you is better than anything," he whispered, pulling back a little to press a kiss to Jungkook's cheek. Jungkook felt his face heat up and bit his lip, trying to hide his smile but failing miserably.

"Kiss me?" Jungkook asked with eyes that held galaxies in them. Taehyung stared for a while, entranced by the beautiful Jungkook in a park. Taehyung nodded.

Jungkook shyly pressed his lips against Taehyung's, his eyes falling closed and hands curling into fists on Taehyung's shoulders. Taehyung held him gently, his lips moving carefully against Jungkook's.

Taehyung's hands rubbed little circles into Jungkook's waist and Jungkook smiled into the kiss. His hands trailed from Taehyung's shoulders to his hair and he curled his fingers in Taehyung's locks, smiling at the little sigh Taehyung let out against Jungkook's lips.

"Thank you," Jungkook mumbled when he pulled away, his face flushed and lips a little swollen. Taehyung smiled at him and caressed his cheek softly, looking up when he heard the footsteps of their friends.

"I got you your frozen yogurt," Namjoon sighed, handing the cup to Jungkook. Jungkook smiled at the two spoons and thanked Namjoon, following everyone to a couple benches.

"Jungkook," Hoseok began, grabbing his phone from his pocket, "Go stand with Taehyung in front of that tree." Jungkook's face lit up and he set his yogurt down, warning Jimin not to eat any of it. He dragged Taehyung over to a tree decorated with little fairy lights and stood beside him.

"Do something cute!" Jin called out. Jungkook and Taehyung laughed and Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's waist and pulled him closer to him. Jungkook giggled and threw out a peace sign, smiling big for the camera while Taehyung stared.

"You two should kiss!" Jimin teased, his hand fiddling with his home-made boutonniere. Jungkook smirked and linked his arms around Taehyung's neck, pulling him in for a kiss.

He pressed his lips against Taehyung and smiled when he heard the snap of a camera.
