At birth, everyone has the date they will die tattooed on their arm. Victoria, a sixteen-year-old runaway, was supposed to die yesterday. At the moment, she's hiding in an abandoned house on Main Street in Greensburg, South Dakota. She was still recovering from yesterday's incident, trying to come to terms with the fact that she wasn't dead yet.Yesterday was a hectic day; it was like any other day. However, she didn't have her usual stopping by the shelter and singing in the park for money. Meet Storm Ashburie, she's recently 18, about to graduate high school, and oh yeah, she's getting married in two months.Meet Eugene Dawson, 19, about to start his second year of college, oh and he too, is getting married in two month.Alice and Joan, the mothers, have always wanted to be related, especially after seeing how well their children got along.Phillip and Carlton, the fathers, are best friends and, along with their wives, partners in a law firm, A.D. or Ashburie Dawson.Both sets of parents wanted to ensure that their firm stays afloat and in the family. Not everyone is all too excited about how they decided to do that.Storm and Eugene used to be the best of friends when they were little, and when I say little I mean they were practically in diapers still. When one of the A.D. offices across state starts to go under, Carlton and Joan packed up Eugene and went to bring it back up.Now they're getting married and it's all because of a contract their mothers drew up 16 years ago.
