An exhausted university student harbours a dangerous secret: he is a Charmer, an illegal type of human who can mind control individuals using his instrument. A talented musician, Atlas gets called to play for the King's personal court. Faced with the frustrating presence of Kaito Zarka, the youngest Bloodbinder Prince, the two are forced to work together in order to discover a cure to the Alkinate, a fatal sickness that turns cartilage into bone, which Atlas happens to suffer from.
