A story involving Levi being extremely possessive and jealous over Eren. Reasons could be that Levi has been unable to become close or intimate with anyone (or he refuses to) because they would eventually die soon because that is part of being in the Scouting Legion. Here goes it, Eren's hands are scarred from trying to save his mom and further injuring (by accident or on purpose, writer's choice). Reason as to why Mikasa's aren't as scarred, also writer's choice, but basically someone in the 104 squad sees his scars, how do they react? No one specific is in mind, though Armin or Mikasa aren't preferred. Grisha taught Eren to mourn the dead, but Carla taught him to sing for them with hope and respect for who they were. Her culture had made an art out of mourning, so many songs and rituals and burning sweet smelling things and offerings, but when they could do nothing else to offer they sang. Especially for those who've done wrong, in hope they would learn better in the next life. Hanji's riding along with the scouting legion when Eren is about five years old and in Titan form, he's small enough at this point that when Hanji goes in for the kill, she finds that inside the lump of flesh that she cut out of the 15 meters' neck, is a child! An unconscious, mostly but not entirely(maybe a missing limb or two, but we know that's not such a big deal to the shifters) unharmed child! Levi and the rest of the Scouting Legion/Survey Corps are archeologists. During an excavation in the remains of the ancient Wall Maria they unearthed a huge crystal formation, which they then discover an encased body (Eren) after it was extracted and polished. The whole crew were ecstatic with their discovery, Hanji most especially.
