A book for my Encanto oc, Elena Cortez-Madrigal is a 15 year old girl, who was adopted by the Family Madrigal and gladly welcomed into Casita, when she was just 3 years old, after her mother, Alicia tragically killed. Later, unexpectedly on her 5th birthday, miraculously, she got a gift...the gift of fireworks. Everyone in the family was quite surprised that someone, who's not in the Family Madrigal got a gift. Though, Elena very much loves her amazing gift and the warm love and welcome of the family, she felt like the family enigma, not knowing how and why, she got a gift and Mirabel didn't get hers instead, and she felt out of place in the family.Despite all that, she was very close with Mirabel, in fact, she was her best friend, and they were partners in crime, and each other's comfort. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful African American teenage girl named Lucilia or Luci for short, unlike most girls, she had white hair and something even more unique to her, she had the ability to control ice and snow, unfortunately this does not sit well with her village as they sell her out to Lord Farquaad's guards and declare her the Snow Witch, who are arresting fairytale creatures, not wanting to get arrested and finding this unfair, she rebels and runs away, only to come across a talkative Donkey and an lonesome Ogre, Shrek.When the fairytale creatures are banished to Shrek's swamp, infuriated, Luci joins Shrek and Donkey on their quest to storm Lord Farquaad's castle to get Shrek's swamp back and give the fairytale creatures their home back, soon they're in for an adventure when Lord Farquaad promises in exchange of giving Shrek back his swamp and freedom for all fairytale creatures for Luci, they need to go on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona from Dragon's Keep. The kingdom of Rosas is a place of new beginnings and warmth for all that come to stay in this magical kingdom, that especially accounts for young Noura, King Magnifico and Queen Amaya's adoptive daughter, who the year before saw her biological father and many others die in a shipwreck, during a thunderstorm, one of which she survived with nothing but her late mother's necklace. When all hope seemed lost, a glow of warmth washed over the girl as a ball of light came down from the skyTraumatized by the tragedy that took place, Noura as shy as she already was, went silent, and now she can't speak a word, and is too nervous to ever make one out to anyone. Luckily for her, the all powerful King Magnifico took her in as his own to live in the palace, there she meets eight friendly teens, Asha, Dahlia, Bazeema, Hal, Safi, Gabo, Simon, and Dario, all of which made her feel welcomed with open arms, well Gabo to some extent.Today, Noura has got accustomed with her life in Rosas, but she still misses her parents, and she still hasn't found courage to start speaking again, so therefore only uses sign-language to communicate, and has especially found comfort in Asha, whom she helps get an interview with the king, so she can grant her saba Sabino's wish. Unfortunately, things take a turn when she figures out the king's true devious intentions when she hears that he'll never grant Sabino's wish and based on how he was treating Asha.That same night, when Noura was in her room, she sees and feels that same light that was there the night of the shipwreck, curious, Noura went to go see what the light was coming from and to her surprise, she sees a literal bright star.Seeing the Star, itself and realizing more of King Magnifico's dark plans, Noura, Asha, and Valentino come together with Star to free the wishes of Rosas.As the adventure goes on, Noura embarks on an emotional journey to find her voice and save the kingdom with the power of a heart's wish.…
