Woolgathering
You know that moment when your heart stops and time ceases to exist? When the capacity of your mind is utterly and completely absorbed in the immeasurable seconds that tick by right in front of your face. When there is only one word, one name playing about your lips, through your mind, and across your heart. When the only things that matters is what is right there. Then. Now. That's the moment I dread. Francis is just a small town girl, penniless and living off of the broken idea of love. Her family, having discarded her as a menace and a bad influence, are long gone, leaving her alone in the world but for her small apartment, awful job and iron spirit. On the edge of disaster - both financially and emotionally - Francis must fight to secure her place in the world and to stifle her mind's cry for release. Her life cannot simply remain hanging just in the balance of safety; she, a woman contending against all odds, must take her life into her own hands. But will it be enough? This is my first book on Wattpad and I'm really not an experienced writer. I don't even know if I'm going to finish this, or even write another chapter, but if I do, I present to you my badly written, most probably grammatically incorrect, mess of a novel. Thanks for reading, I hope you will understand my situation. Also, (I apologise in advance) please understand that I'm not particularly knowledgable on the time period that this book will be based in (the 1920s in England), so please feel free to correct me on any mistakes I might make. Thanks!! 🤍P.S. I would like to dedicate this book to my friend, Em. She is my number one fan. 😂…
