Impressed, Dante offers him a job at Devil May Cry where he happily accepts. He acts oddly though. He keeps the sides of his head shaved and refuses to let his hair get long, he always wears the same punk clothes and always wears a replica of Kaneki's mask and never takes it off. Dante finds Nero on the street and takes him back home. Vergil is ecstatic to have his only child back. They have a heartwarming reunion and a nice dinner, but then Nero has to face the repercussions of running away.…

Dante was in his shop, sleeping at his desk when he woke up to screaming coming from outside. Someone was screaming his name. He grabbed his signature weapons and bolted out the door. He saw 3 demons chasing a girl no older than 14. The devil hunter immediately killed the two but the third one got to the girl before it could be killed. It called her a traitor and that Dante couldn't help her before it placed a curse on her. After the demon had been killed, all that remained was a mute toddler in too big clothes. Dante didn't why the demons were chasing her or how she even knew his name. He only knew one thing, they will be back for her.…

Nero is a mute 5-year-old who has just started kindergarten. Dante had just moved in with Vergil to help take care of his nephew. A few days later Nero starts talking but he only says swears, surprising his dad and uncle. Vergil thinks he got it from Dante but Dante thinks he got it from Vergil. Nero keeps cursing and while the two adults argue on how to handle it, they ignore trying to figure out what's causing it. Rated M for frequent cursing.…

While Dante is tracking down Vergil, he finds him arguing with a demon on the outskirts of Slum City, and being the demon slayer he is, Dante rushes to kill it. The demon was quicker than Dante, he quickly cursed Vergil and left. The curse had turned Vergil into a 3 year old with completely different memories. Vergil now sees Dante as his big brother and protector. Dante decides to go with it and raise his now little brother, promising to keep him safe and always be there for him.…

The facility does research on humans, experimenting on them with chemicals, medicine, and forms of torture to see how quickly they heal in response to such medicine and chemicals.
