Nikita Yahontav, a boy who'll do anything for his survival, doesn't feel much. The graphic stories of when monsters, such as zombies, existed were told to him by his father, they only numbed him of fear and cowardice. The years of constant humiliation and isolation from society numbed him from the feeling of loneliness and sadness. When Nikita was stripped of the many things he held precious, he numbed himself from joy and excitement. Nikita simply does not show emotion like other people.***This story takes place not too far into the future, when the government of America betrayed its country. They dropped the nuclear bombs meant for World War 3 and set out a thought-to-be extinct creature to destroy the rest of the survivors if there was any. Nikita Yahontav's father went out of their bunker at this time. He gave up hope of him coming back after what seemed to be weeks. Food and water was running thin, his cat was starving, and despite his pride, Nikita was losing his sanity. When he has had enough, Nikita goes out in hopes to get something to eat and perhaps find a person who he can interact with. But when he gets to the surface, he finds creatures that can only be described as the ones in the stories his father used to tell him. Read as Nikita fights for his life, builds up a community, and then watch it all crumble before him. ***DISCLAIMER: In no way shape or form am I trying to attack the president of the United States of America or America in general.
