Kulthum is going through something. It could be puberty, another round of her "rebellious teen phase", or an identity crisis. Whatever it is, Kulthum has changed. She can feel it, and everyone can see it, but no one can cite a reason for it-including her. When Kulthum comes home from her third unattained university degree, lugging more than suitcases, her parents have had enough. They decide to do what every African parent living in the UK has once threatened to do. They ship her back home.
