Both Naruto's and Sasuke's clans had used to be Ninja Cats/Foxes that attended Shinobi that had summoned them during a mission. As time started to pass, Ninjas started using Toads, Dogs, Snakes, Slugs, and Birds to assist them and no longer summoned Ninja Cats/Foxes, leading these clans out of jobs causing them to evolve after time. One recurring thing started to pop up. Infants from these clans were born "Nekos" as they were called.
