Y/N didn't feel ready for university. She'd been accepted to her first pick, gotten into the program she wanted, and had even managed to get a couple scholarships. Her parents were so proud... she'd be the first in her family to attend college at all. Everything should have felt perfect, but watching her hometown disappear in the review mirror made everything a little too real. At first, she was grateful for the wrong turn her father made on the way to move into her new dormitory. It was a nice distraction, and she was glad to have such a lush, peaceful forest so close to her campus, but series of questionable choices led her to a wrinkle in the space between her world and the one beyond. Warning! Under heavy editing. Many chapters will be taken down on November 27, 2022. 6 year old Y/N had lived with the Moonshadow elves for as long as she could remember. She and her friend Rayla are training to become assassins, but there were some aspects about Y/N that might not quite match up. She doesn't have pointy ears or horns, and even worse, she can't use magic. The only thing remotely elvish about her was her wings. Dragon wings. Runaan still allows her to continue her training along with Rayla. The two did everything together, rarely seen apart. Then Rayla was allowed on a mission, and Y/N left behind. She felt rejected, but also concerned. Her friend couldn't be an assassin, somehow she'd known it since she met her, but she never said anything. It wasn't that she was missing something. She had everything she needed, courage, stubbornness, skill... But she had too much of a heart to kill. Disclaimer!
