James är en sjuttonårig kille som precis har bytt fosterfamilj. Han har flyttat till Sverige, i hopp om att han ska trivas där.Han har fel. Inget går som tänkt när han börjar dricka. I och med alkoholen blir han mycket aggressivare och mycket farligare. Han försöker få hjälp, men alla tror att aggressiviteten beror på alkoholen. Så någon riktig hjälp får han inte. Inte förrän han sticker hemifrån. Han åker till England för att se om han, en sista gång, kan börja om från början. Han har fel. Han blir fruktansvärt deprimerad och försöker ta sitt liv ett antal gånger. En av gångerna, den sista, kommer en man och stoppar honom. Han säger att han kan hjälpa honom. Kan han lita på mannen, eller kan han det inte?…
