Guys Can Like Me
Petria "Tria" Kafka has been verbally bullied by popular-for-the-wrong-reasons Klaer "Talons" Armadale for three years. She's been drawn into a corner which she has stayed in and never dared to venture out of. When she's suddenly on the brink of physical bullying, her best friend, the beautiful Mianna "Don't Call Me Mia" Bavaro can no longer stand watching by the sidelines. She challenges Tria to do one thing. One thing that goes against their very character. One thing to show Klaer that Tria isn't her over-chewed gum on the bottom of her over-the-top Adidas Superstars. One thing to gently lead Petria out of her corner. As Petria is swept up into a relationship with the school's Badminton captain, Clarke "SuperNurse" Torelli (who is best friends with Darrin "The Hot One" Noakes), she holds a new grasp on life she never had before. She feels special all of a sudden. But that grasp begins to slip as her 'semi-anorexia' becomes less 'semi', Klaer's bullying doesn't cease and her mother becomes unfamiliar...Petria, Mianna, Clarke and Darrin must stick together to hold each other up and escape the shackles of bullying. A book about feeling good about yourself, ignoring those who don't make you feel special and sticking with those you love.----------To those who are being bullied, have been bullied, or are the bully: I wrote this story for you, I also wrote it for those who have supported me through my small burst of being bullied, and for that one guy who stood by me when no one else did.…
