Now, Jo is 16, and her childhood friends Lara, Jordan, and Jojo are on a camping trip in the woods. Jo still carries around Ace, and it still speaks to her when nobody else is watching. But when she pulls the plush out of her bag, it is suddenly unresponsive. Which means someone is watching. For years it has survived multiple attacks from various creatures and monsters, but is somehow still labeled as a quiet mountain town in the freezing temperatures of Colorado. Of course, these mishaps normally have something to do with the four boys we know and love; Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny. Not this time. This time a serious virus spreads throughout the world, turning people into nothing but shadows of their former selves. The residents of South Park were the last ones to be attacked, but most of the townspeople didn't take the warnings seriously. There are very few survivors left in the rubble. There is only one cure in the world, and that cure is locked away, hidden underground out of human reach along with the instructions to brew it. Naturally, the boys look for the cure in hopes of saving the world, but it'll be difficult when someone else is looking for it too.
