RORY LYON has a sinking feeling that CASPER RAMSDEN is making fun of her when they ran into each other at a local fan convention. It almost comes as a relief when she discovers he is attending Experience College Week alongside her. She hopes they might become more than classmates by the end of the week. She fears finding out that the sparkle in Casper's eyes are the product of her being the star of a private joke track running in his head. On the evening of the scavenger hunt, Rory watches the northern lights dance across the night sky, imagining them having magical magnetic powers to pull people together. She wonders if their green glow is the cause of Casper pressing against her throughout the evening. When she stumbles across a young man named GEMINI lurking in the shadows after she climbs the stairs of the observatory at the end of the scavenger hunt, Rory wonders if he might also have been drawn by the luminous light of the aurora borealis. Later in the week, she finds herself back at the observatory, wondering if the auroras pulled her there or if it was Gemini that drew her. She soon finds herself faced with the choice of embracing the shadows or letting the darkness swallow her world. My cover art is not my own. I am waiting for commissioned art to put in its place.
