Woodscreek's Secret
When Bethany-or just Beth-moved to Woodscreek Town, she immediately fell in love with it. That was ten years ago. From the small population to the enchanting forest that laid itself behind the town, she loved it. There was something about it that made her not want to leave. She learnt, almost as soon as she opened the door to her new home, that every year Woodscreek held a tradition that went back hundreds of years. Or so she was told. The whole town gathered in the town square and at about 9:30 am, the various "teams" would set off; Looking for the grand prize of a year's worth of wine. Which, apparently, was only about five bottles. Made sense, seeing as not far away there was a winery. Beth eagerly took part every year. But every year, she lost."Not this time," She promised herself. The only problem being, something far more sinister was going on behind the scenes of this ideal town.
