Amnesia
They were gaining on us. On either side, large men in uniforms caged us in. We were surrounded. Like the plain, white walls of the room we were kept in, we were being trapped. Unable to leave, unable to be free. But freedom was so close, we were basically free. The cool air brushed against my bare arms, but just like at the hospital, the guards were in our way. I looked beside me. Wynter looked at me, the same desperate look in her eyes mirrored my own. I tightened my grip on the small blade I clenched in my hand. Wynter's hand inched ever so slowly to her hammer she had got from the storage closet the night before. The guards kept getting closer and closer, swarming us, making escape even harder. I raised my hand and felt the impact of something hard hit me on the side of the head. I fell onto the concrete ground and held my head, the blade skirting across the pavement. My vision went blurry, and the last thing I saw was a pair of hands reach down for me. Then it went black.…
