Chuuya Nakahara, for the first time, fails to take down a group of smugglers by himself and is left to deal with the consequences until he can take the organisation down completely. Osamu Dazai, dragged along to help, starts trying to come to terms with the feelings that have been there all along. The smuggling organisation, new to Yokohama, are getting a bit uppity after their supposed "victory" over Chuuya, but they're about to discover that underestimating Double Black is one of the worst mistakes they could have ever made. Oh yeah, and the Armed Detective Agency adopts a cat. Kinda. ---I'd like to think that this story is mostly a comedy/romance, but that would be disregarding the large amounts of violence that are in there, so: TW for violence and death. Let's go!Barclay and his friends have been exploring the University of Al Faradh for weeks, but it's only when Tadg Murdock-- fellow apprentice and (maybe?) friend-- discovers an ancient book and reads the passages within that things truly start to take a turn for the unusual. Barclay isn't sure what to think of the book at first, especially since it seems to detail secret passages that he has never seen nor heard about before. Tenative that it's a trap, Barclay and Tadg decide to leave the book alone, but as soon as the decision is made, it vanishes into thin air. Trap or not, in other hands, the book could be a deadly weapon not just against Barclay and Tadg-- but against all the rest of the students there. And as the two of them press further, trying to find clues as to who might have taken the book, the more entangled they become in a strange mystery that seems to engulf the whole school. What was the University before it became a haven for students everywhere? Who were the people who lived within its walls? And, most importantly: what did they leave behind?I'm not going to lie, this book has been really fun to write, and I hope it'll be just as fun to read! From Villisca, Iowa (The Villisca Axe Murders) to Arlington, Texas (Screaming Bridge), ghosts aren't the only thing that they're going to find. While ghost stories can seem ancient, sometimes there are still people who don't want the truth to be uncovered. And sometimes... they'll make their own ghost stories to try and stop them. !!! All of these locations and stories are researched and real! I myself do believe in ghosts, I'm very superstitious (knock on wood) and this is freaking me out to write.
