Talia stood in front of the mirror putting on a pair of diamond earrings. Her hair was exquisitely piled on her head. The beautiful dress she wore was plain according to Hollywood standards, but it fit her curvy body perfectly. Zeke hired make-up and hair professionals to pamper her for his big night. It was the premier of his newest Captain Defender movie.

Zeke's arms wound around her waist. He watched her with his chin on her shoulder. Since the night at the diner, their relationship had grown into something spectacular. She still had moments of insecurity, but she talked to him about them when they arose. Things had been going so well she moved in with him the month before. Leaving her home with Jeremiah was bittersweet but he made sure to come over every chance he got.

"Nervous?" Zeke asked.

"A little. I've never been on this side of the red carpet before."

He kissed her neck softly sending shivers down her spine. "You will do fine. Have I told you how incredibly beautiful you are?"

"Only about twenty times but a girl can never hear that enough." Talia joked.

In a low grumbling voice, he said, "How about how sexy you are and what I plan to do to you when we get home from this premier?"

Talia blushed. He laughed and nuzzled her neck. The scruff on his face sent shivers through her. She turned in his arms wrapping hers around his neck. She took him in. His sexiness took her breath away. His hair was cropped short on the sides with a little longer on top styled to perfection. Zeke decided to keep some of the beard he'd grown when they were apart but as a concession to Talia he kept it short. He was dressed in a sexy too tight blue button down tucked into jeans that fit him just right.

"Do we really have to go?" She whined. Her lady v had definitely stood up and took notice of the sexy man in front of her.

"I think I would let Tristan down and the other kids. Believe me if we didn't have to go you would already be naked on the bed with me between your thighs."

Talia locked her knees to keep herself from melting into a puddle of goo on the floor.

"Are you two ready? We've been waiting forever." Rex called from their bedroom door.

Talia laid her forehead on Zeke's chest. "Did you really have to invite our families to this?"

"Come on, it will be fun." Then a worried look crossed his face. "Your grandpa will keep his pants on, right?"

Talia laughed. "Rex?" She yelled.

"Yeah?" He yelled back.

"You're in charge of keeping grandpa's pants on tonight!"

"What? No fair!"

"Do you want to drive Zeke's new Mercedes-Benz AMG S?"

A defeated Rex said, "Yes."

"Then you are on pants patrol. Have fun!" She yelled.

Zeke whispered, "Why does he think you have control over who drives my new baby?"

"Have you not realized my brother is an idiot? I mean he is your best friend after all."

"God, I love you."

"I love you, too. Let's get out of here before there is a riot downstairs."

Talia stepped out of Zeke's hold, grabbed his hand then dragged him downstairs to the crowd of family and friends waiting to celebrate his newest movie.

Everyone piled into the two limousines. Talia's family, Zeke's family, Jeremiah, Chrissy with Mariah and Annie with Tristan arrived to the premiere together. When the pulled up Zeke stepped out of the limo to flashes. Reporters rapid fired questions at Zeke as they slowly walked the red carpet. Talia recognized a few faces from her previous life as the Gossip Queen. One face in particular stood out, Mel, who still worked for Dirty Laundry was waving excitedly.

Talia walked up and hugged her friend. "Oh my God! When did you become a reporter?"

Mel shrugged. "Catherine needed someone once she let you and Vanessa go."

"That's fantastic. You will be great at it."

Mel beamed. "Thank you, Talia." She cleared her throat then began talking in a very professional voice. "So, tell me Ms. Walker how does it feel to be dating Captain Defender?"

A giggle escaped from Talia. Before Talia could say a word, Zeke said, "She loves it. She's a very satisfied woman."

Talia blushed when she remembered how he'd said that in an interview the day after her whole life was flipped on its side.

"Yes I am." Talia kissed Zeke on the cheek and looked at Mel for another question.

"When are you two going to make things official?"

"What?!" Talia freaked out a little at her friend's question.

"How bout right now?" Zeke said then bent down on one knee.

Talia felt the world around her slow. Zeke pulled out a velvet box holding it to her. Cameras flashed around them. She could faintly hear a swell of conversation around them.

"Talia Marie Walker, I have loved you since we were ten years old. You are the only woman I want in my future. You are the sassiest, fearless, no filter having woman I've ever met. You will keep me honest and true. I want you to be in my home, in my life and in my heart for the rest of my days. Will you marry me?"

Words escaped her. She knew she needed to answer the question but couldn't get her mouth to move. Worry crossed Zeke's features.

"Tell him yes!" Chrissy and Jeremiah yelled breaking through her thoughts.

"Yes!" Talia fell to her knees to kiss him.

After the kiss, Zeke took Talia's left hand and slid a beautiful diamond encircled by sapphires on her finger. If she would have picked out a ring for herself it would have been that. She kissed him again. When the kiss broke, Zeke helped Talia stand. She looked around at the phones her family and friends held up.

"Everyone knew about this but me, didn't they?" Talia whispered to Zeke.

His sexy smirk flashed. "Would I do something like that to you, Lia?"

"Your lucky I love you."

"Yes, I am so very lucky." He kissed her one more time.
