There's another girl in my class who was diagnosed with it last year (I'd had it for at least 5 years at the time) and our parents made us do like a whole presentation to the class about it but it was okay we just like checked our blood sugar and stuff.

But it gave us something in common cause we had basically nothing but I disapprove of some of her ways of treating it. She goes without carbs and doesn't want an insulin pump or CGM.

1. Going on a no-carb diet can have detrimental effects, especially for a growing adolescent
2. Pumps and CGMs are designed to make our lives easier, but if she wants to keep pricking her finger and injecting insulin everyday then she can be my guest.

So, yeaaaahhhhh
