It is true what they say about the blessing of God. It overwhelms you and you stop to wonder, how did all this happen so fast?

Yes, God is God he is no man. Indeed, he watches and just in the right time, he opens the flood gate of heaven. Can you imagine? Well, I’m certain everything happens for a reason. Today, the lord has blessed me. You might not understand but God has given me the greatest gift.

My pride and joy, the one thing that will give me hope even when disappointment tries to still my joy.

Talking about disappointment or not talking about it, there are events that open your mind emotionally. In the later, what will you do if you were in my shoes?

Temptations rise to block our mega blessing. Choice, in rare cases or most is the most difficult thing to do. I refuse to think about it. My God will direct me on the right choice to make. It’s my day today, I just had a…………….

(ST John Clinic)

{Entered Doctor Faith, Uyai, Ubong, Mrs. Toyin Afolabi, Tony, Jennifer, Pastor Mr and Mrs. Atang, Edidiong, Utibe and Ime.}

(They are all sitting in the waiting room,anticipating the news while nurses pass by. Pastor Mrs. Atang praying continually during the wait)

DOCTOR FAITH

Mr. Ubong Udoh

UBONG

(Rushing off his sit as he dropped the pen he was chewing on)
Yes doctor

(Everyone present stood up to hear the news)

DOCTOR FAITH

Your wife has just been delivered of a bouncing baby boy

UBONG

(Covering his mouth as tears runs down his eyes)

(Every one screaming in joy)

PASTOR ATANG

This is indeed a great news. God has done a great thing for us and for our family. This is a blessing. Ah, I’m so happy that I’ve lost words.

PASTOR MRS. ATANG

My husband, we have witnessed firsthand, the abundant blessing of God.

PASTOR ATANG

Yes we have. Congratulations Ubong the Lord has favored you. It is indeed our new beginning.

UBONG

Thank you daddy. I am the happiest man on earth God has blessed me not minding the way I’ve lived my life. This is a testimony. 

IME

(Ordering her four little boys to behave) Doctor please can we see her now?

DOCTOR FAITH

Yes please you can but she needs to rest a bit.

UBONG

Thank you doctor.

(All moving into Uyai’s ward)

UBONG

Ima mi, how are you?

[Interpretation: my love]

UYAI

I’m fine now (smiling down at her baby in her arms) I just can’t take my eyes off him. Isn’t he handsome?

(she gives her husband the baby to hold)

UBONG

He is, because he looks like you. Thank God. (Smiling)

(showing the handsome baby boy to all present)

IME

And you are right oh,  Ubong. Even I sometimes is jealous of your beauty (Laughing and playing with his little cheeks)

JENNIFER

chai, see fine pikin oooo. This one go cause confusion for street oo.

[Interpretation: look at how handsome this child is. He will turn heads of many]

MRS. TOYIN AFOLABI

Je-nn-i-fer.  Ahhhhhh.

(Jennifer looking at her with a side eye and pouting, causing everyone present to laugh)

PASTOR ATANG

(Receives the child from Ubong) God we thank you for this special gift, we thank you for wiping tears from our eyes. May your name alone be highly exalted in Jesus name. Amen. Father this child shall bring blessing, joy happiness and peace to this family. No weapon fashion against this child shall prosper. Amen.

ALL CHOROUS

Amen
