Chapter 9 - Dangerous Developments
Standing 5' 10" tall, 32-year-old Mr Tadashi Fumihito was like your typical CEO, clad in a black suit today, crisp white and clean dress-shirt underneath the black blazer and the silk tie to finish the look off.
His hair is short, thick, and black, and it is softly gelled. He has a broad face, a broad nose, and thick lips. He has profound pale brown eyes and angular brows. He has long arms, a slim body, and small legs. And, like any other CEO, he had black rims around his eyes, indicating he didn't get much sleep on the job as the two children took their seats. In Ranran's perspective, it's kind of expected; after all, operating a firm worth millions of yen is a lot of effort.
"Mr Muniko said you wanted to get to the bottom of locating his half-brother, Mr Namba, through me?" His brows were brought together in an angry pout, and his lips were pressed together in a tight line, as he wasn't amused that two grade 1 kids were put in charge of investigating a case of this sort.
"I mean, if we hadn't, it would have harmed your company's reputation much more." Ranran crossed her legs in a ladylike manner.
"Listen, I'm not only doing this to preserve the firm; I'm also doing it to safeguard the employment of the 800 people that work here." He frowns even more at the two children, saying, "I hope this doesn't harm our firm stock market later on...otherwise-"
"You would sue?" Ranran concluded his speech, much to the surprise of the man. "You will not be the first person to say this. The previous individual who stated this....he ended up having to beg on the streets," Ranran says with a sly grin.
Which subsequently gave the guy goosebumps before he demanded from her apprentice, "Is she serious? If that's the case, she has a poor sense of taste."
"If you were in my shoes, Sir, that was only the tip of the iceberg." The blue-eyed boy shook his head glumly, conveying additional warning signals to the black-haired man.
"So let's start the interview, "Ranran begins by asking, "Your eldest brother-"
"You mean Saji right?"
"No, not Saji. I meant the one your mom had before having Saji."Shinichi said.
That sent goosebumps to the man, "I have no idea-"
"What you are talking about?"Ranran finished his sentence.
"No, I mean I have no idea what is his real name."The man denied, "When I was adopted into the family 3 years after Saji was born, the family were tight-lipped regarding his name, as my mother didn't want all of us to bring him up after being forced to give him away by our late father."
"Ok then, "Ranran flipped another page in her notebook, "Your elder brother, Saji, why did he willingly hand over the seat he was entitled to have since birth?"
"Ah, you mean why he was that foolish as to give up his seat to become CEO of Tadashi Pictures 19 years ago? Simple," he sarcastically remarks, "in the name of love."
"Love." Shinichi paused momentarily, "Like Seto Manami? The woman who committed suicide on the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge?"
"I see you both done your research," the CEO said, his eyes wide open before snarling.
"So they were dating?"Ranran probed.
"Very much in love, and I suppose I owed it to her for being concerned about Saji. If she hadn't been around," the CEO contemplates, "I wouldn't have been CEO, the issues around Saji wouldn't have died down, and his relationship with me wouldn't have improved."
"Is it?"Shinichi pressed in scepticism, "I mean if she had married him, you don't get to become CEO."
"Is that what you kids think after watching the movie 'The Origin of my Childhood'?"The CEO was irritated that they concluded his personality was based on a movie. He groaned as he saw the kids' emotions as they anticipated his response "While I believe that the film depicts some realities, not all of them are true. The Will part, in particular...."
Both of the children's eyebrows raised at him.
"My later father isn't stupid when he came up with the will. There was no way he would let an emotionally driven son run the company, even if he was cut off from the same cloth. Mother on the other hand...thought differently."
They quietly listen to him.
"Although it describes the lady of the manor having the authority of the estate, ours is more specific. While it is true that whoever marries one of us will have authority over the funds, the income they were referring to is the cash they receive from the CEO to administer the manor, as in our household. For us, managing our house full of butlers and maids is similar to running a company. Managing household is easier than my job here."
"Ah...so it's referring to that, huh..."Ranran muttered before she notice something amiss, "Wait a minute, that meant your mom is in charge of-" Ranran remarked
"Yes, you guessed correctly. My adopted mom has been in charge of this for many years. She runs the house with an iron fist. It was something she was groomed to do growing up before she got married."
"Does it apply to family members as well? When she runs things with an iron fist?"Shinichi contended. "Mainly...her own children?"
Silence.
For a while, he was hesitant to speak as he turned pale at the mention of his mother.
Ranran noticed when he mentioned 'father', it had a tone of grief. But then when he switch to 'mother', it sounded bitter. Very bitter.
"You don't think highly of your mother, do you?"Her apprentice pressed.
"No, I honestly don't. That's why I walked out of the house 19 years ago to avoid her ridiculous demands," acknowledges the CEO, "Neither does her own son. It got much worse when she discovered Saji was dating the family's former gardener's daughter."
"Ah, the one where her father murdered the supposedly evil grandmother who sneers on him on her low-rank house staff, right?"Shinichi remembered.
"Who told you that?! There are lies!"The man rages.
"Saji's friend, the director of the movie."The little boy answered.
"I swear one day I am going to sue that bastard for tarnishing our family name."The man vowed furiously.
"So I am confused, "Ranran is perplexed, "Is she like that or-"
"I can envision our late grandmother saying that," Fumihito concedes, "but she only said it if the staff deserved it. Especially those extremely ambitious ones that made several attempts to woo the family's master and mistress...if you know what I mean."
"Strike lottery..."Ranran repeated, before turning to the man, "Did he try to do that on your mom? Saji's dad?"
"No, he has morals of his own. He would never cheat on his wife, that doesn't sound like him."The man disparagingly said to her, "He was rewarded to be let go off."
"Hah!?" Both kids reacted in unison."Why?"Shinichi asked.
"He had worked here since he was a boy and had never missed a day, even when he was sick. So my grandma gave him a large quantity of money so that he may live a financially secure life with his wife and daughter. "Fumihito heaves, "I think he's being too generous, but he's not a horrible man. He was always there for me when I needed to hide from my late father's or mother's wrath."
Ranran then recalled something, "Plus brother?"
"What brother?"The dark-haired man blinked.
"The filmmaker recalled Seto having a sibling at the time, a little brother." Ranran attempted to jog his memory.
"Seto had a brother?"Fumihito frowned at her confusingly.
"What do you mean?"Shinichi cocked his head to the side.
"Her dad told me she is an only child before he retired. Also, Seto never mentioned anything about a sibling."
Ranran and Shinichi can't help but feel a sense of confusion. They are not sure what is going on, but something doesn't feel right."So I am assuming he had a good relationship with her?"Shinichi reckoned.
"Quite good, if I might be honest."He confessed.
"That's kinda odd," Shinichi exchanged looks with his mentor," According to the director, Seto's family was largely in debt. It was so bad, Seto had to rely on scholarship and work part-time here."
"That's why my mother didn't support Saji's relationship with Seto as she knew about grandmother's deal. She strongly believes the former gardener must have gambled away the fortune and sent his daughter to woo her son."
"And do you think he is capable of doing so?"Ranran quizzically questioned.
"What? Gamble? No, "The CEO disregards, "But lose the money? Maybe."
"We need to look into the missing money the gardener loss," Ranran whispered and Shinichi nodded in agreement. Shinichi then continued, "What was your impression of Seto when you first met her?"
"Hmm...if I say the first impression," The man thoughtful feels, "Naive, clingy, overly optimistic, tough...everything my mother isn't."
"Do you support it? This relationship with your brother?" Shinichi asked.
"I do."He nodded to them, "I mean with her around, my relationship with him got better. Things were going so well, when he mentioned he was going to elope with her, I supported it wholeheartedly."
"Really!?"The two reacted in surprise.
"It's true," He nods to them, "They did have plans for tying the knot. Oh yeah," He snap his finger, "I almost forgot, the day they were set to leave...was the day Seto committed suicide and Saji went missing."
"Nani!?"Both of them replied in unison.
"Yes, I am pretty sure of that."The man now recalled, "The day the two were set to leave, he was supposed to attend this party. It was a cologne event, and he had been wanting to be their ambassador for years. That's why I was stunned when the company contacted me and said he didn't show up."
'O' formed on both of the kids' mouths.
"What happened next was history. Mother said he informed her he is leaving overseas after learning of his girlfriend's unexpected suicide, then the publicist took over everything."
"And you believed her?"Ranran confronted.
"I mean Saji did confess to me he is going to let her know before he starts his new life. I don't think she had reason to lie."
"Alright, I think all of us had sufficient info, thank you for taking the time to air out everything."Shinichi thanked the man with a handshake, and so did Ranran.
As the two kids turned to leave, Ranran stopped walking when she spots a framed photo hanging on the wall. There is a woman with long black wavy hair, the wrinkles on her forehead, the lines around her mouth, the sagging skin on her neck was evident that she is in her 50s, was on a golf course, standing next to Tadashi Fumihito on the left, with a casual smile that didn't show she is sincerely happy."The one with black hair is...?"Shinichi turned to the man for answers.
"The unpleasant woman we spoke about earlier, my mother. We had an event to attend, so she had to be present."The man's indifference towards the woman was clear in his eyes.
"Your mother, huh..."Ranran hummed, she then shift to the woman standing on the CEO's right, a hazel hair woman in her 30s is smiling next to them. One that Ranran immediately recognized.
"Ranran? What's wrong?"Shinichi wonders why is it his mentor looking shocked, before staring in her direction. He too froze when he recognizes who it was."What is the matter?"The man wonders as the kids stood motionless for a while.
"That woman standing on your right..."Ranran pointed to the photo as she turned back to the man, "The one with hazel hair, who is she to you?"
"Ah, that woman."He realizes where she is pointing, "That is my mother's secretary, Ohta Bunko. She has been her eyes and ears for over 3 years."
"What!?"This was the third time they reacted in sync.
"Why? What about this woman? Do you both know her?"The CEO wonders what is with their reaction.
"Ah no, it's just she looked familiar, that's all."Ranran lied, as their eyes lay on the photo. No way, what are the odds!?
The more they think about it as they recalled their investigation in the tavern, the more they were feeling uneasy about this. As the two kids were about to leave the office once more, Ranran suddenly remember to ask him something.
"Mr Fumihito, "Ranran turned to face the man, while Shinichi watched, "If your mother ever reunites with her son Namba...I mean only and if...would she protect him after learning all of the things he did?"
They waited for his response. For a moment, the CEO was a little taken aback by Ranran's words. After a while, he answers, "If it means killing innocent people to defend him...yes."
Once more, the two children exchanged looks."That is an unusual choice of words."Shinichi remarked.
"Although she is what she is now because of her marriage to her father, she always has a thing when it comes to her firstborn son. There is...some fixation about him."
"Fixation?"Ranran found herself saying, feeling perplexed, "Didn't she intentionally sleep with Mr Muniko's father to get pregnant and flee from the marriage? How would someone who had the intention of using a child as a tool to get out of that marriage care for him?"
"He ain't completely wrong, but in the mix of all of this chaos, I think she has some love for Mr Muniko's father. Otherwise, she wouldn't keep having mental breakdowns whenever she had episodes of thinking of him according to her caretaker."
That sent chills to the kids' spines.
............
"What are the odds that his pychotic mother is involved in this scheme?" Ranran asked Shinichi's opinion as the two use a skateboard and scooter, going down a steep hill.
"A lot, and I honestly felt chills thinking about it, ughh..."Shinichi spat his disgust."I mean her secretary has been following us and Muniko! If a pyscho mom is able to run the household despite being that, I won't be surprise if she was involved!"He then processes everything, "It's no wonder Namba was able to fake his death, I bet his mom is involved in this."
"I can see why Mr Muniko had us decide not to meet her, that woman is a lunatic."Ranran stirs the handle of the scooter to a side to balance out her steering.
"Not just one, she also has some weird obsession over her son."Shinichi is still confused over certain matters, "If what Fumihito said is true that Seto's dad claim she is an only child, then why did her uni friend lied about Seto having a brother?"
"Not only that, the money itself Fumihito was rewarded. That meant Seto shouldn't be working this hard."Ranran bit her red lip a little, "We need to look into Seto Manami's family and see who is telling the truth."
As the two skated down, one with a scooter and the other with a skateboard, Shinichi said, "Neh Ranran."
"What?"
"Do you...do you think there is the possibility Saji might be...murdered by his mother?"All the blood drained onto the two."I mean when you think of it...it made sense why Fumihito and the world no longer saw Saji anymore. And Fumihito only had his mother's word to go on."
"If that is the case...we might be dealing with a serial killer."
"Eh?"
"I mean others mentioned that his girlfriend wasn't capable of ending her own life. What if she hired the same men to make it look like one? Didn't Junko mention that the men threatened to drown her by making it look like an accident?"
"If that is truly the case, this is bad. Like real bad."Shinichi was shivering in fear, "A serial killer...never would I have imagined we be dealing with this so soon after Extinction Heist."
"We got to head back to the main HQ and brief them on everything, right now, time isn't on our side. The sooner we find Namba, the quicker we can throw that woman's key of freedom."
By the time the two kids arrived at the entrance, the car pulled up to the curb.
It was then that Ranran noticed that something was off about the driver.
When she was younger, her mother always warned her about getting into cars with strangers. Even if it was with family members, always keep cautious.
"They might be friendly at first, but they'll eventually kidnap you."
As a result, Ranran was always cautious, too cautious, that she would memorize the face of the driver before entering the car. Though upon examining the car, it has the same number plate as she last saw earlier, same model, same color, something about the driver...felt rather off.
While the window was winded down, revealing the driver's face as he instructed, "Hello you two. Good to back. Hop in, I have to take you to see Mr Muniko. Also, please put your scooter and skateboard in the boot."
"No problem," Shinichi hurriedly reached for the car boot handle as he opened it, that's when the driver asked something unexpected, "Hey, where are the other five you were with earlier?" he scowled suspiciously.
Eh!?Why why would you ask....Ranran suddenly realizes something is amiss with his statement.
"They're at school, uncle, also, we arrived alone, just the two of us," Shinichi told him and the driver nodded.
Ranran took one hard look at the face of the driver, it was then her detective instincts kicked in, as it finally dawn on her why she felt something was off with the driver. The driver in this car isn't their driver they were with earlier. Despite having similar features, along with his mole on the left side of his chin, she can tell it ain't him.
As Shinichi was about to put the skateboard in the boot, Ranran whacked his wrist, resulting in him yelping and dropping the skateboard on the road."Ranran! What gives!?"He whipped his head and glared at her.
"What is wrong with the both of you? Are you guys done yet? We don't have much time."The man said impatiently.
"Just a minute! My apprentice dropped his skateboard, that's all."Ranran gives him a reassuring charming smile before turning back to Shinichi, as she whispers to her apprentice with seriousness in her tone, "You noticed it, didn't you?"
Realizing she too noticed it, he answer in a low voice, "Of course I did, his mole on the left side of his chin."The two then stared at the driver, who is busy listening to the song on the radio, "If one were to see the mole on the mirror is on the left, the mole should be on the right. Yet...when we saw him..."
"It's on the left. He thinks we are idiots or what?"Ranran then intentionally dropped her scooter, "Oops! I need to reposition it again, eh heh heh!"
Ranran pulled off a convincing chuckled as the man complained to her to hurry up.
Picking it up slowly, she lowly explain to Shinichi," When I made that phone call with Mr Muniko earlier, I specifically inform two people only as the other five were too busy to attend. Considering Muniko has informed the driver prior, let alone, drop us off not long ago, he shouldn't be that absent-minded. The fact he is meant he plan to go after them as well."
"Where is the real one then?!"Shinichi's paranoia kicked in, worrying for the driver with the warm smile.
"There are two possibilities. He is either knocked up and throw aside."Ranran pauses,"Or...."
"....or what?"Shinichi prompted.
"He is probably murdered."
Shinichi swears he was feeling sicker than ever at that thought. The driver wasn't who he claimed to be, he knew that they were in a precarious situation."We need to call the cops."
He tried dialing the number on his smartphone with speed-dial, but the number didn't ring."Ah reh? What gives?!"He tried again, but once again, it wasn't ringing. Checking his smartphone, his signal is fine. So it shouldn't be a reason not to be able to call.
Ranran then ponder about it before she realizes something,"Wasn't there an earthquake announcement that the lines were disrupted because of it? Including their internet line?"
"Shit!" He cursed under his breath, before Ranran finally decided,"I think the solution is to head back to the office building of the Tadashi then call for help."
"No,"Shinichi disagree with the idea,"The hill is kinda too steep, he can easily catch up with us not far from where we are. Even with skateboard and scooter, the pick up isn't good enough to outrun him."
"Then what are we suppose to do?!"Ranrna hissed lowly.
For a while, Shinichi struggle to come up with something as he wrestle with the thought that their lives could flash before their eyes. The thought of this imposter driver honestly nerved him. What would he do now that this dangerous man here? Is there really no other way?!
As the car continues to horn impatiently, Ranran purposefully drops her smartphone protected with a shell."Oops! Careless me! I drop my phone, wait a while, we are almost done!"
The fake driver could be heard grumbling how slow they were, as Ranran picked up the phone, Shinichi decided they were going to do the unthinkable."We are going to sneak out, then skate as fast as we can away from the car."Shinichi decided as Ranran grew wide eye, the tension is in the air.
"But he owns the Jaguar. It may knock us down."Ranran argue.
"We don't have many options, Ranran. It's do or die. Also, the road we are on now is perfect to pick up speed."Shinichi could see the anxiety they are dealing with, "Hey, it's going to be alright."
He reassures her with a pat on the back, even though he himself knows their chances are slim to none. Nodding to each other, ensuring that the driver isn't looking at them towards the back, the two quietly grabbed their skateboard and scooter from the back of the car. Having reposition away from it, they then quietly set the power boost on their scooter and skateboard before they took off down the street, as they fled in the other direction.
And they were right to do so, for the fraud later shouted, "Hey! Shit! They figure it out!"
"Run Run Run!"
Ranran and Shinichi sped away from the Jaguar as the two children fled on their scooters and skateboard. The Jaguar car soon lurched forward as it sped through the city streets chasing after the two children.
....
Around 3 pm back in Teitan Elementary school earlier, the members of Tantei association watched the Jaguar leave the school. Junko swung round to Ran. "I've got the weirdest feeling crap is about to go down."
"Junko, I don't think the two are safe."Ran paled. "What can we do?"
"I think we should follow them!" Junko decided.
"You heard them, no doing anything until a certain time," Michio told the two girls off.
"But-"Junko tried to argue, but it was no used.
"You heard Majima," Takuma sighs, "I know you girls are worried, but with Ranran around, they'll be fine."
"Anyway, if they need help, they can always call me since I am free after school."Emiko convinces the two girls, who remain uncertain.
"Come on, we got after school clubs to head to."Michio cocked his head, urging Junko and Ran to leave the Kudo twins be.
Reluctantly, the kids reentered the school building and went on with school life.
By 5 pm in the school's Tantei association, Emiko was hands-on busy with her task.
Imagine having no experience yet, she has to dig into this anonymous user and track down who the person is. Plus, she had to find the person before the police did.
Sure, when she run that intel business in school, it wasn't that difficult as everyone belong in the same school. After all, asking a couple of kids who somehow know each other was easy business. But the Internet is a messed up place, everyone can be anyone!
After much intense search for almost an hour and a half, Emiko knew that the user was based in her city, but the issue is figuring out their identity. The artist then started by looking through all of the posts that had been made in the past week, but she couldn't find anything that would lead her to the user.
But as Ranran said: The careless ones would leave a trail of breadcrumbs on the internet, considering she posted slanderous things about a rich and powerful family so to speak.
Then, Emiko remembered something."Didn't Shinichi the other day tell me about Ranran using the Dark Web hacking into some reporter's house..." her eyes then lay on the little Union browser, one that leads her to the entrance of the Dark Web. Should she do it?
Emiko then remembers her mother telling her that the dark web is a collection of websites that sell scary things, illicit goods such as narcotics, weapons, and even human organs. If that wasn't bad enough, some sites show videos of torture of kids to men and women of all ages.
When Emiko first learned about these sites through her parents, she remembers feeling his body shiver. Maybe for a psycho like Ranran who was used to seeing all these things, it's become a norm for her.
But for Emiko herself, does she have the guts to do it? And after viewing all of this, would she eventually become another Ranran? Eventually, normalizing all of the crap the Dark Web has to offer?
The thought of this terrifies her. Sure, she admires Ranran for her intelligence and out of the box thinking, but the thought of erasing her humanity scares her. There is no way she is going to risk becoming another Ranran by using the Dark Web to locate u/silentmaid. No way in hell!
However...
Emiko felt compelled to investigate and locate u/silentmaid. There is a potential child abuser on the loose, and if she can't verify the credibility of this, it won't be justice they are failing, it's also endangering the lives of other innocent kids if that woman comes across any of them.
Screw it, Emiko is going to do it. She will regret it later when the case is over.
Observing the browser that had been mounted on the school laptop for a few minutes, Emiko reluctantly opened it to see the search panel. As she open the search engine, the search history appeared. Then she read it, only to regret it.
"Legal ways of torture in Japan to extract info without getting arrested-what!? Did Ranran seriously search for this!?"Emiko's mouth practically dropped open.
Now Emiko wasn't much of a nosy person. If anyone refused to let Emiko in on one of their secrets, then Emiko wasn't going to force it out of them. However, the artist was so gobsmacked by what she discovered, that she proceeded to read more as she convinced herself she will regret it later.
And boy, she regretted it a lot:
How to emotionally torture the lives of others onto your enemy to a point they think suicide is an option.
How to peep into people's houses secretly through their computer despite having switched it off.
How to locate the address of others.
How to ruin the lives of wealthy corrupted families through financial means by torturing their kids in the most agnizing-
"Oh God, no!"Emiko was on the verge of puking, so she hurriedly slammed her laptop shut, "Jesus! I knew Ranran had 'out of the box thinking, but this is too extreme!"
Emiko shivered in fear and gave herself minutes to calm her beating heart. The more she thinks of what Ranran's true character is like, the more she thinks of Shinichi's expression. What could've been his reaction had he read all of these search results?
The artist shut her eyes, no, Ranran obviously wasn't concerned about hiding it. After all, she ain't the type to hide anything she does, no matter how morally questionable it makes her out to be!
After a while, Emiko just laughed. She already could imagine what Shinichi would say if he sees all of this and confronted Ranran. Once she finally cools down, the rebellious artist reminded herself why did she choose to go to the Dark web."I need to find the identity of the user on Reddit. Fast."
Now the Dark Web isn't full proof, one just can't easily dig into a person's identity in an instant. Otherwise, Tantei Association wouldn't have existed in the first place. Or, Ranran and Shinichi wouldn't have headed out to go meet Mr Muniko. Emiko paused for a moment before typing whatever she could dig about silentmaid.
Within 5 minutes of searching series of links popped up on Emiko's screen, she took the mouse and began scrolling down the page, having clicked on the link and found their account.
Lo and behold, she did it.
By a miracle the user had left a clear trail of breadcrumbs, starting with their post on the public forum and ending with their contact information. Plus it's pretty recent too. With all of this, Emiko is going to make a phone call.
The artist waited as the phone rang on the receiving end, finally, a woman's voice answered, "Hello?"
"Hi...are you the maid who used to work for the Tadashi family years ago? The one who also goes by the username u/silentmaid?"Emiko probed.
It was at this moment the woman's voice changed from casual to outrage, "How did you get my number!?"Understandably the receiver had every reason to be riled up considering Emiko had used the Dark Web to locate her real-life number."What did you want!? I retired from the family years ago! I can post whatever I want, Mrs Tadashi!" The former employee blasted over the phone, a bit too aggressively.
However, Emiko's experience as an intel dealer in school had taught her the value of tolerance and patience in dealing with angry kids.
"Miss, this is Miyama Emiko speaking from Tantei association."Emiko responded softly as she went on, "I am calling on behalf of the association in regards to your post as u/silentmaid about the Tadashi family, as we have reason to believe a certain scammer has ties to the mistress of the household."
For a while, Emiko can hear the gasp from the woman."What...!? Tantei association-wait a minute, was it the same member from this association who rode a tiger to school the other day!?"
Emiko facepalmed, she should've expected Ranran's antics would reach far and wide, "Yes, miss. That is our founder. She did it as the tiger was too excited and the zoo did nothing to drain its energy, so she took the tiger out for a supposed 'walk' to the school, then back to the zoo."
"No way...so the story with the 7 of you having gone to the circus to rescue a tiger was real!?"
Emiko puffs a little, "Yes."She confirmed.
"Well hello! I have kids your age who are amazed at what the 7 of you have accomplished."
"Ah haha, thanks, "Emiko thanked nervously before she proceed to press, "Miss uh..."Emiko isn't sure how to address her.
"Tsutsumi Kameko, you can call me by my husband's name 'Tsutsumi."She replied.
"Right, Mrs Tsutsumi, "Emiko tries to carefully speak, "The reason we are contacting you is to inquire what you know about the Tadashi family, as we may have reason to believe a scammer by the name of Namba Katsumi who is legally dead, has recently resurfaced and there are clues that led us to believe he might have been connected to the Tadashi family. That he might be the current matriarch's son."
"Current matriach-no way!"The caller finally connected the dots, "You mean Mrs Tadashi Sora's first son before her marriage!?"
"Oh, so you do know about his existence as well?"Emiko blinked.
"Existence!? I was the one who also breastfed him when he was an infant as his mother couldn't produce milk. I look after the poor thing for almost 2 weeks after he was born before that woman's husband gave it away."
Emiko swear she could hear a pin drop on the floor by this revelation.
