Kriston

Chapter One:

Kriston Wrathe was packing his bags. He sighed and pulled up the sleeves of his robe, yet that did no good, because the silk draped back down over his fingers. He sighed once more. He had failed the Alpha Exam he had studied for with his twin brother, Kyrie for his whole life! Kyrie got in. Kriston had not. He was going off to the great Academy of Archamium. He should be excited, because he would actually be like, kinda a warlock!

He could study the Arts and become a mage, warrior, rogue, the list was endless. But being in the Kingtillium University meant you got to serve the King and Queen! It came with respect from all, and government positions. Head Advisor of the King or Queen, Head Duke, and much, much more. The balance of power between the Kingtillium University and Archamium Academy was tight. Both were very powerful, but neither was fully more powerful than the other.

Kriston was a 15 year old boy with hazelnut naturally curly hair cut short it the front, with bangs just above the eyes His eyes were a sea green, sparkling and glinting in the sunlight. He was 5 foot 11 inches. He was wearing a maroon and maroon pants with dark blue high tops and a Dark blue silk robe with geometric patterns down into it. His brother looked the same, except he was wearing all purple clothing, for purple was the color of the King.

His brother walked into the room and scratched the back of his neck. "Uhh, hey man. I got my bags packed. Do you cuz...we are uh..ready to go." Kriston nodded. "Uh yeah." Kyrie hugged his brother. "I'm sorry, man. Not even Kingtillium University will be the same without Kriston Wrathe at my side. Let's go."

Kyrie jogged out of the room. Kriston slung his bag over his shoulder and put on his silver chain necklace with the chain of the Moon on the end. Kyrie's chain had the Sun, showing how they worked in total harmony and synchronization. He walked out to the mystical self automated chariot. His father, Sir Aaron of the High King and his mother, Alexandra of the Queen's First Order, both had done 12 years at Kingtillium.

They loved Kriston, but both were silently disappointed in him. They got in the front of the chariot. His father replied, "Take us to Archamium." The ride was long and quiet. When they got there, the Academy looked like a crooks between a gigantic mansion and a Castle or Palace. There was a Stone Monument in front of the school that said,

Щelcome to arcнaмιυм acadeмy

Founded in тнe ғιrѕт тιмeѕ...

The First Times were the times of legend. A Golden Age of Prosperity and the beginning of the Kingdom of Artahiém. These were the times when the King and Queen were in their early twenties. Ideas were fresh and they were young and bold. No wonder a school this big and great and beautiful was created in those times. It was beautiful and majestic. Kyrie hugged him. "You'll be fine, bro." He patted his back and hopped into the chariot. It flew off toward Kingtillium University.

Kriston walked up to the front doors of the arcнaмιυм. Kriston jumped backward when one of the jade gargoyle statues started talking. Kriston jumped back and his hands started to glow. He tried blasting the gargoyle with his powers, but the gargoyle easily countered it with a shield. "Hello Mr. Wrathe. That move...it was a Kingtillium technique." Kriston's hands stopped glowing and he stuffed them in his pockets.

"Uhh, yeah. I've been...training with my father since I was young. He works at for the High Council of the King. I picked up a couple tricks." The gargoyle nodded. "Yes...we don't practice in the Kingtillium Style. We have a much more effective enchanting style. I myself am a product of the enchantment of two Titans."

Kriston took a step forward. "Titans?" The gargoyle yelled, "Dukestep! We have a new student!" A girl about 17 with long straight hair and skin almost pale with freckles and a vibrant patterned cloak down to her feet walked into the large doorway. "Ahh, you must be Kriston. Come with me, Mr. Wrathe." Without seeing if he would follow, she smiled and walked inside.

"Man!" Kriston mumbled. "She's fine!" Without turning or stopping, she said, "I heard that!" and continued down the hall. He chuckled and whispered to the jade gargoyle, "Heh heh. Remind me to watch what I saw around her!" The gargoyle grinned, which was weird to see a grimacing statue do. "Just go already, Mr. Wrathe. You'll like it here."

"Oh, I think I can agree with you on that one!" He jogged down the hall after her.
