We watch Derek and Grayson leave in a very nice black sports car before slowly pulling the Jeep up closer to the house, headlights off to avoid attention being drawn to us.

All three of us get out with shovels and Scott hands my brother the flashlight even though he complained he wasn't the one holding it the night he got bit... ugh, whatever. At least we're not running in the woods... no, no. We are going to dig up half of a dead body, which is just as exhilarating.

"Wait, something's different." Scott comments as we walk over to the side of the house.

"Huh?" I turn to him with a puzzled look.

"Different how?" Stiles questions, also not understanding.

"I don't know." He says.

"Well, that's helpful." I mutter. "It's probably just cause it's dark now." I shrug. Cause that makes sense...

"Let's just get this over with." He jabs his shovel into the ground and Stiles and I follow his lead.

Sweat drips down my neck as we carry on, making progress though! An owl hoots in the distance and the clouds slowly drift through the sky, revealing the moon glowing brightly, giving us a bit more light.

I huff in exhaustion. I'm gonna take an extra long shower when we get home. I would like a bath, but then I'd just be sitting and soaking in nasty dirt water... gross.

"Kai, come on." Stiles says, snapping me from my thoughts.

"I'm going, I'm going." I huff, waving him off.

"This is taking too long." Scott worries, wiping his forehead.

"Well, it'd go faster if someone..."Stiles starts. I glare it him. "Just keep going." He huffs.

"What is they come back?" Scott asks. I nod, valid question.

I think Derek and Grayson Hale would in fact kill us then. Right on the spot. No hesitation. No moment to hear our... explanation... which would in fact, most likely, be even worse.

"Then we get the hell out of here." Stiles tells him.

"Duh." I throw my arm up, looking at Scott.

"What if he catches us?" Scott fires back yet another good question. Scott would have a decent chance, but Stiles and I? Oh, we'd be screwed if two werewolves decided to chase us.

"I have a plan for that." Stiles argues.

"Yeah, we're always prepared." I nod. I too have a plan, but mine is hitting them with the shovels.

"Which is?" Scott's ready to hear it.

"You run one way, Kai and I run the other. Whoever he catches first too bad." Stiles shrugs, with an 'oh well' look on his face.

My mouth falls open as I turn to him.

"And swing our shovels as we do." I do a swinging motion with said shovel for demonstration. "For a weapon."

"I hate that plan." Scott shakes his head.

"Hey, at least your have super speed." I argue. What do we have? Nothing!

As they go to slam their shovels into the dirt again it sounds like they hit something. Ooo!

"All right. Stop, stop, stop!" Stiles holds out his arm in front of Scott before quickly putting his shovel down. I toss mine down as well as the boys start riffling through the dirt with their fingers and I eagerly bounce on my toes.

I see... Rope?

"Hurry." Scott rushes.

"I'm trying. Did they have to tie the thing in like 900 knots?" Stiles retorts annoyed.

"Why don't you ask one of them... when they catch us!?" I retort, hurrying him along.

"Kai!" Scott looks to me with wide eyes. "I'll do it." He offers, both continuing to struggle until FINALLY the rope untangles.

Stiles peels back the cloth and all three of us jump out of the hole in surprise as Stiles screams and I let out a shriek.

"Woah!" We all yell.

"Good Lord!" I exhale, grabbing my chest as it heaves up and down while I stare wildly at a dead wolf. An actual wolf.

"What the hell is that?!" Stiles shouts.

"It's a wolf." Scott gapes.

"Yeah. I can see that." Stiles snaps, turning to him.

"Obviously!" I reach over, smacking Scott's arm.

"Ow."

"I thought you said you smelled blood? As in human blood?" Stiles stresses the 'human' part.

"Yeah, that's not human!" I point to the hole.

Scott just shakes his head. "I told you something was different." He defends.

"Well, we didn't think you meant a whole species different!" I throw my arms up.

Oh my gosh... OH, my gosh! That's actually a dead wolf- half...

"This doesn't make sense." Stiles throws his hand up too.

"We gotta get out of here." Scott tells us.

"Yeah, okay, help me cover this up." Stiles motions down to the WOLF! He does a double take looking up and freezes.

My brows knit together and I follow his line of vision to a flower.

"What's wrong?" Scott asks quickly.

"Do you see that flower?" Stiles points.

Scott turns his head to look. "What about it?"

Is that—

"I think it's wolfsbane." Stiles answers.

"I think so..." I nod in agreement. It looks like the pictures from our research the other day.

"What's that?" Scott looks at us completely clueless.

"Wha-" Stiles lets out a noise of disbelief. How does Scott not know? "Haven't you ever seen, The Wolf Man?"

"No." Scott shakes his head.

"Lon Chaney Jr.? Claude Rains?" Stiles lists off. "The original classic werewolf movie?"

"Harry Potter even." I add. I mean, come on!

"No, what?" Scott gets fed up.

Stiles scoffs. "You are so unprepared for this."

"And so need to watch more movies." I shake my head at him in disappointment. Stiles and I hop up, moving over to the flower. We pull it out of the ground together, the rope attached to it.

We start slowly grabbing the rope out of the dirt, wrapping the pile in our hands while Scott watches us. Suddenly a spiral lights up around Scott as we continue to pull and Scott glances back down in the hole and quickly stands.

"Stiles. Kai."

We walk back over to him and I and Stiles steps back and my head jerks back in surprise.

"Woah." We both let out as my eyes practically burst out of my head.

There was no longer half a wolf in the hole... but half a body... staring up at us.

Scott slowly turns to look look at us as Stiles stares at body uncomfortably and just I blink, in shock.

We did it!

We actually did it!

But did we...

HOW has it already been a YEAR since last Octoberrrr, wdymmm??!! WDYM it's been A YEAR since I went & saw The Eras Tour Movie in theatres all dressed up w/ my dad & published my babiesss Kai & Grayson all in the same weekend?! (On October, Friday the 13th, at that!!)

ANYWAYSSS lol, hope y'all enjoyed this chapter!! This hole digging scene literally kills me for no reason lmao, Scott & Stiles are so silly, & then adding Kai to the chaotic mix just made it even more perfect. I loved her lines in this chap lmao. SHE MADE ALL GOOD POINTS !!

I've missed Kai & Grayson SM, OMG, so this was very much needed & I NEED to get back to my grumpy x sunshine pookies ASAPPPP!!
