Hyunjin sighed walking out from his college building, he just submitted his work, his last piece that would give him the final mark to his records.

He was nervous to not pass his second year since he's been skipping college lately and that's all because of Minho.

How much his schedule is so locked up with classes he couldn't do anything except for skipping so he could spend more time with his boyfriend.

Minho had a championship held in Japan this summer and he won't be back for two months and Hyunjin was so silent about this and not speaking it out that he wants to go with him too.

He arrived at his house where he found his mother sitting on the couch watching her be loved drama on TV.

He gulped, his parents are home less often but that didn't stop them from spending their time with their son so he wouldn't feel awkward around them.

Hyunjin built the courage and walked towards his mother who spotted him and was happy to see him this early.

Ms.Hwang:“honey!! You're here...are you coming from college”

She hugged her son just when her drama ended and turned off the TV so she could put allh her focus on her son.

Hyunjin:“yeah...i submitted my last landscape and I'll be waiting for my final results that will decide if I pass or not”

He's still nervous to disappoint his parents since he chooses art instead of law and business like his parents who didn't mind that and all they wanted was what makes Hyunjin happy.

Ms.Hwang:“you're talented, son and I'm sure you'll have a full mark”

The mother have her faith on her son.

Hyunjin smiled feeling happy that he had this little encouragement from her, he wasn't sure of his talent but good to know that his mother was there by his side supporting him.

Hyunjin:“there's something else”

He gulped again not knowing how he should come out to his mom, he wanted her to know about his relationship with Minho and hope to be supporting in his life decisions.

The mother saw how nervous her son was so she put her hand on his back and started patting his pack with soft tabs.

Ms.Hwang:“if you don't want to tell me now, that's okay...I'll always be here for you”

Her sweet soft words made Hyunjin feel so bad and guilty that he has been hiding this from her.

Hyunjin:“mom...I'm dating a guy”

Everything went silent, the mother was shocked from what her son just confessed.

Ms.Hwang:“wait...how about jiyun?”

She asked, even though she knows that her son wasn't the happiest around her but at least he got a partner to not feel lonely and send.

Guess that didn't work out well with him.

Hyunjin:“we broke up the day when we went to the hot springs”

It was the same day Minho came from Canada and took them to the wet springs, Hyunjin had that problem up his shoulders yet he didn't want to ruin their fun ride and trip.

Ms.Hwang:“it wasn't too long...I'm impressed that you moved on so fast”

She knows that her son's relationship with jitun last for 4 years since he was a junior in high school and she can't believe that four years can't be ended like that making it sounds like nothing happened and they were just screwing around.

Here at this moment , Hyunjin collects his courage as he takes a long breath ready to face the consequences.

Hyunjin:“that because the person I'm dating is—”

Ms.Hwang:“Minho”

With no hesitation, Ms.Heamg know no other person except for her best friend's son to be the only reason why Hyunjin would end his relationship with his girlfriend.

There always seemed to be some spark between them but she failed to notice that since Minho was so good at hiding his feelings in front of them and his perfect acting fooled everyone.

Hyunjin:“yes, it's him—wait! How did you know?”

He was impressed that his mother guessed the person right.

Ms.Hwang:“Ms.Lee once told me that he has a crush on you but I never thought he would be serious about you one day”

Ms.Lee had ignored her for some weeks and when Ms.Hwang console her and to also know the reason behind ignoring her, the said mother had confessed that her son might have feelings for Hyunjin that could ruin their friendship but Ms.Hwang assured her to stay calm and not worry about and let the kids decide that for themselves.

Hyunjin:“you aren't mad?”

The mother looked at her son yet a smile finds its way around her lips, not seriously mad that her son actually wanted to start a new relationship with Minho.

Ms.Hwang:“are you kidding me? I've always seen Minho as my own child but now you guys are dating...i can't but be excited for the wedding and after...Minho would officially become my son in law”

Hyunjin blushed hearing what his mother said and denied that by saying “don't say that...we just started dating”

Ms.Hwang:“so...? people marry even after dating for months”

he couldn't with his mother so he stood up and walked to his room to have a quick nap since it was still afternoon.

He called Minho to know what's he's up to for tonight but the older wasn't picking up his phone calls so he decided to text him.

He waited for some time checking his phone every minute looking for a reply but there was none and when he was about to give up, a loud notification sound was heard and brought his attention.

Minho

He changed into his indoor clothes as he put a lullaby on his phone and slept on his right side where his eyes could stop closing the more his mind and ears drift into the soft background.

*Ring tone*

His eyes were open at the sudden tone of his phone call, he sat up tired checking the time finding it is 12:00 and he knew very well the person who call him at this time.

Hyunjin(sleeping tone):“Hyung? Why are you calling in the middle of the night?”

He said scratching his eyes with the back of his hands while wearing a pout not liking how his sleep has been disturbed.

Minho:“sorry candy if I woke you up but can you meet me at the Candy shop?”

Hyunjin's gone wide shocked by the sudden thing his hyung just requested him to do, it is so dark outside and his parents are asleep.

Hyunjin:“do you know how time it is now? And what else had left for us to confess in the middle of the night?”

he asked quite using a sassy tone, even if it has become some common thing they do whenever they want to confess something to each other.

Minho:“don't you want more than what we have?”

When heard those words, he couldn't but blush and clutch into his blanket.

What did Minho mean by him saying? What more is there for them to become?

Curiosity had woke him up fully for him to start getting ready to step out from the house, he made sure to calmly sneak throughout the house not making any sounds and he successfully made it outside and after 10 minutes walk to the candy shop where also Minho's parents house, Hyunjin remember the way to the secret passage his hyung had once showed him and when he was inside it was very dark.

He looks around just for his eye to spot Minho in the center of the shop, facing him with his back.

Hyunjin:“hyung...what's going on? What did you mean in the phone call?”

He walked closer for his steps to be loud enough for Minho as a sign to tell him to stop coming further so he could begin his confession.

Hyunjin gulped feelings nervous about what was going to happen next.

Minho:“Hyunjin...a simple name caused all my thoughts to be tangled with each other because I was oblivious to know how much you mean to me back then... But now I have come to the conclusion that you're the one and no one can replace you...you are my happiness, my confidence, my courage and someone I want to spend my whole life with”

Minho turned around after he said a part of his speech, he turned in the rope lights that were around them where Hyunjin could see a heart made with rose petals around them.

He blushed looking around at the beautiful lights set up his boyfriend made as he looked forward just to find him wearing formal clothes while his hair was done neatly.

Hyunjin finds it so beautiful yet adorable that Minho made this little surprise for him in the middle of the night and at the candy shop.

Minho:“i know this confession might sound ridiculous with time and place but believe Candy, this place and this time is the one who can complete my confession...being with all this year's made me realize how much your importance and existence means to me and I would love to have those late night talks in the swings, eat sour gummy worms together, play video games, and be there for you and only you”

He said getting on his knees for Hyunjin to widen his eyes looking at Minho pulling something from his blazer which caused him to freeze at his place.

When Minho showed the thing from inside his blazer inner pocket, it was a ring with a shaped candy as its jewelry.

Minho:“will you be mine forever, Candy”

He finally made those words, even if they just started dating but Minho has been loving hyunjin for so long and he cannot wait longer to claim because Hyunjin was his, he owns him and belongs to anybody else but him and the other understand why Minho is doing this pretty early but it not early for his feelings.

If Hyunjin noticed his feelings a bit earlier, him and Minho would have been dating for a while now and this would be the perfect time to propose.

Hyunjin:“you don't need my answer, Minho... just put the damn ring in my finger”

Minho chuckled finding it so funny that Hyunjin said that while the waterfall of tears came out from his eyes, he stood up from his knees then held Hyunjin's left hand and slid the ring in his ring finger fitting in perfectly.

Minho held those hands enough to know his finger's sizes and was glad that the ring was in the right size.

Hyunjin walked to him wrapping his arms around his shoulders and saying a low “thank you” in his ears before blushing and hiding his face on Minho's neck.

Minho did the same and wrapped his arms around him hugging him back with closing his eyes liking the moment being shared by both of them.

But he had to break the silence by “now you're mine, would you like to come live with me in my apartment” which caused Hyunjin to let go of him and looked at him with shining eyes and a wide smile before saying “of course, I would love too” and then attacking Minho's lips licking them then eating them with his his mouth which took the older off guard but soon enough smile and melt into Hyunjin's lips kissing him back with it being a soft fluffy kiss.

They broke the kiss just to look at each other right in the eyes drowning themselves with the other's eye color.

Minho:“I love you Candy”

Hyunjin chuckled since his hyung has been saying these words from the time he could ever remember but he never gets bored of it or finds it annoying.

He was just impressed that his love didn't change and stayed the same as before, and he's ready to turn back all the love he has received from Minho.

Hyunjin:“I love you too, my favorite gummy worm”
