Blind Ambition

Playing god can be a dangerous game, and if you're not careful that power-that ambition can lead to the destruction of all that makes you human.

As mortals we strive for new heights, to pushing the boundaries of our cerebral capacity. To make new discoveries and control all that is natural.

It is these things that are beyond our control that make us strive to learn more, to aim higher.

It is this strife for the greater, this senseless ambition that can cause those who seek to know more to be blind.

How long can you destroy the natural order before mother nature's wrath strikes back?

Do you really wish to expand so much that you would kill the beauty of nature around you?

For as long as mortals have existed this ambition has led to boundless change. First in the development of shelter among the forestry as out animal cohabitants have done. This led to gathering in clearing with others of our kind, to a thirst to obtain these untouched lands as a show of power. Turning the lands of beautiful nature into large kingdoms, harvesting the earth's limbs that made it so beautiful for structures of exquisite appeal. Further, the mortals have taken to inventions and factories in large city clearings as the centers for such idealistic expansion. Bit by bit nature losing its beauty to the touch of mankind. One by one, trees losing their life for the benefits of humanity.

Now not only do we cut off the mother's limbs, but now we suffocate her, polluting her pure skies with smoke and gasoline, poaching her children for man made valuables.

And now-now we seek to extend our rein. Now we do not seek to dominate nature, we seek to create it, to control it at will. We seek to destroy the natural order of mother nature's gift in our own ceaseless greed.

Blinded by our ambitions we will go to any extremes to reach our goal.

We would once again challenge nature in our quest to obtain power, riches, and luxury.

The most beautiful gift the mother has bestowed upon mortals, used in her demise- The gift of expression, of emotion and wisdom. We hold our knife to the throat of our own mother in our blindness.

Are we ever go greed as to turn that blade from our mother to our own kind? Our own brothers and sisters?- our children?

Would we go to such extremes as to destroy our own bodies to be born in one of power?
