- Chapter 1
"Report me about my schedule for today." The woman ordered her assistant whilst checking the important file for the meeting.
"You have a meeting at twelve noon with Mr. Xiao for the deal of opening a chain of hotels in China. Then, you have to attend the annual event, as the chief guest at Seoul National University to deliver a speech. Next, at nine, you have a company dinner with Mr. Xiao to celebrate the collaboration between the two companies. Lastly, you have an appointment at eleven in the night with Mr. Jeon to celebrate your first wedding anniversary." Her assistant conversed in a robotic tone, she was well versed with her boss's schedule.
Hana took a sip of the red wine and took off her reading glasses whilst putting the device towards her ear. It was on speaker before.
"Cancel my last appointment. I want to rest after dinner." She ordered and her assistant got quite a shock listening to her boss.
Well, which married woman would cancel plans with her husband that too when it's their first wedding anniversary?
Nevertheless, she replied back sounding as professional as ever, "Sure ma'am."
"Alright, make all the necessary preparations and I'll be there in an hour. Also, I want absolutely no mistakes else I'll fire everyone working on this deal. Make sure the deal is ours. I heard Mr. Xiao's wife is also joining?" The savage boss threatened the poor employee which didn't fail to send a shiver down her spine. She maintained her calm composure and replied back.
"Yes, Mrs. Jeon."
"Buy the most expensive jewelry for Mrs. Xiao. Make sure she's happy and well-treated." She ordered in an affirmative tone and the assistant followed her orders.
Seo Hana, the managing director of Seo Group of Hotels, is known for her dominating and authoritative aura. She's anything but perfection in her professional life and her mantra to crack all the successful deals is: 'Make the collaborators happy. If they're contented, they'll be by our side forever.'
Surely, she's the epitome of an 'ideal businesswoman'. Sharp, mature, good with words and intelligent, she's the woman desired by many. Unfortunately, the most eligible bachelor was married a year ago to none other than the managing director of Jeon’s Group, Jeon Jungkook.
Surprisingly, the marriage was also a deal.
Jeon Jungkook is the son of Jeon Daehwan, the founder of Jeon’s Group, particularly known for their over-the-top and most preferred firearms in the whole nation. Truthfully speaking, the inner business circle knows what the Jeons are infamous for– they're a mafia clan in the skin of business people. For Jungkook, business works when his hands are colored with blood. 'An eye for an eye' is his motto in life. The business is half legal and half illegal, but the government supports them because the President of the nation is Jungkook's father-in-law. In his words, ‘We have to be sinners to get success in our hands, when it comes to weapons.’

Walking through the huge stairway of the Jeon's mansion, Hana made her way towards the main room. She wore her favorite royal blue outfit consisting of the blazer, paired with pants and her white shirt neatly tucked underneath. Those mid-length matching blue earrings, pointed high heels, the gold necklace she wore and the most enchanting of all– her wedding ring, complimented her look.
She graciously walked downstairs and sat in front of her husband on the chair of the enormous dining table. He was most probably busy talking to someone over a call but instantly cut the call as he spotted his wife. A mischievous smirk made its way on his lips when he looked at her. She appeared so graceful yet so tempting in the blue outfit of hers. Looking at those cherry red lips of hers, he just wanted to lock them with his.
A beautiful memory crossed his mind when he looked at the gold necklace with a star pendant she always wore.

He remembered how he met this savage and charismatic lady for the first time. Their fathers had a meeting to collaborate between the two groups. Jeons were newly investing in hotels and Seo group came out to be the best choice for an initial investment. Mr. Seo was the chairman of the group and was also chosen as the next president of the nation. Since he won't be able to handle the business anymore, it was inherited by his only daughter– Seo Hana.
The deal was going on smoothly with Hana's expertise in this field but she desired for the Jeons to invest in five of their hotels. Mr. Seo tried his best to convince Mr. Jeon looked like he was a hard shell to crack. When the older man made his way towards his personal office, she followed him to have a personal talk. She was certain, she'll convince the cunning Mr. Jeon to collaborate, using her good words.
After all, if there's one wish she always wanted to fulfill was to make her father proud of her.
He neither complimented her nor showered his affection. He was quite a strict dad because he wished his daughter to be the next queen of business just like her late mother, forgetting the fact that while shaping her as a warrior, he lost that smile of hers. She barely smiled or appeared happy after her mother's demise and made herself busy with work.
Coming out of her trance, she smirked and was about to open to knock on the door when a voice made her halt on her steps.
"He won't agree no matter how much you try." There came a deep husky voice of a male most probably in his late twenties.
Well, he knew her because he saw her in the meeting room along with her father looking all elegant wearing that simple outfit. But he noticed, she appeared so stressed for some reason and fatigue was visible on her face. After listening to everything, he concluded the purpose for her arrival here.
His jet black hair was neatly shaped and gelled backwards and he wore an all black tuxedo with the top three buttons unbuttoned of his black shirt, was sure a drooling sight for any woman. His hands were placed in his pocket and he was surrounded by his army of men loaded with guns. By the looks of it, he wasn't an ordinary employee and she understood that fact when she noticed everything he wore from top to bottom was from luxury brands, this man was a walking world bank. He cocked his brow looking at the woman as she was gazing at him, more specifically, at the necklace he wore.
"Who are you to conclude that?" Hana questioned in a stern tone and he let out a laugh looking at her expression. He got near her and whispered in her ear, making her flustered by his move.
"Someone you should be beware of." He disparaged and listening to him, made a devilish smirk crept up on her lips. He was all over the media and this woman who didn’t seem to know him, made him curious about her.
"I like to crample such proud people below my feet." She looked into his eyes and whispered in his ear, the same way he teased her. The smirk never left her face.
Her gun was placed on his waist which he cared less. He was rather surprised by her fast reflexes.
She was dangerously close to him and her audacity sure was commendable. At that moment, the man feared by all, who can have any woman at his feet was fascinated by this lady. Her boldness made him curious about her. The men of his, pointed their guns towards her.
"Interesting." Jungkook muttered unafraid of the weapon and she steadily put it back in her pocket but soon, his tease came crashing down when she lost her balance due to dizziness. He swiftly held her by her arms and made her stand and it's only now he glimpsed, she had eye bags which meant she was sleep-deprived. A worried expression plastered his face.
"Are you-" He wanted to ask if she's alright but got cut off from speaking anymore, by her words.
Hana was startled at what happened just now and so, she didn't let him speak anymore. She didn't wish to appear like a weakling in front of a proud man like him. She let out a ‘tch’ and jerked off his hand on her arm, gaining back her composure.
"I like shiny things and I guess, this will remain with me for a while." She swiftly grabbed the necklace he wore and pulled it downwards making it land in her hand. It all happened in mere seconds for him to react.
His men aimed the gun towards her because she dared to steal the most precious jewel to their master but he made them halt on their actions with the little motion of his hand.
"You've got quite a good troop of men." She complimented, playing with the necklace, grinning ear to ear and didn't care about those dangerous weapons aimed at her. Well, she was aware they can't hurt the daughter of the President. She playfully winked at the dangerous man and walked away with his possession.
“Mr. Jeon-” The man wanted orders from his boss to bring the girl back but he just shook his head and smiled looking at her fading figure, giving a shock to the men.
Well, they have never seen their boss leaving someone, especially when she stole something so important to him.
"Let her go." He ordered and smirked looking at her fading figure, giving a massive amusement to his men.
It wasn't like he couldn't kill her, he didn't wish to kill her.
For a ruthless man like Jungkook, he won't care about murdering the daughter of the President, he can do that without any fear but he let her go, that too when she stole the necklace his late mother gifted him.
Surely, he was curious about her.
-----
The next day, the Seo household was delighted with the news that Jeons are willing to cooperate with the deal but on one condition. Well, Jeons are known for being ruthless and ruling the business as well as the underworld. Hence, there's no way they'll invest for free, and this time the deal included marriage.
Marriage between their children.
Hana agreed to get married to Jungkook without even asking anything. For her, her father's happiness mattered more than her own. She knew this 'marriage' didn't even involve feelings. Well, little did the woman know… It was Jungkook who proposed the idea of marrying her. He wanted to make her his, by all means.
Certainly, he was tempted by her the day he set his eyes on her charm.
Mr. Jeon wholeheartedly accepted Seo Hana as his daughter-in-law and Mr. Seo was delighted that he got the deal. For him, business mattered more than the daughter, who sacrificed her whole life just to see him proud of her.
The two of the most eligible bachelors were married in a private wedding consisting of close family and friends. He still remembers she looked so beautiful in that white wedding dress. She had minimal makeup on but her whole aura appeared so enchanting and elegant. The male was starstrucked looking at the elegant lady. That day he made up his mind to be the best partner for her. The vows were completed but she was uncomfortable when they were asked to kiss and so, he just gave a little peck on the back of her hand.
He didn't wish to force her for anything she didn't like.
Jungkook clearly remembered what his newlywed wife said on the first night of their wedding. Her words left him baffled that day but still, he chose to go with the flow.
After all, he had feelings for this woman.
"This is just a deal between our families and so, there are no feelings involved. I'll not interrupt or say anything about your work or whatever you do and I expect the same from you. You do your work, I'll do mine. Also, I'll sleep in my own room." She spoke out as a request, which sounded more like an order but he stood impressed by her personality, the way she wasn't afraid even a bit of whom she had tied knots with, made him super inquisitive about her.
He agreed to her conditions.
