The vampires decided to seek the answers from Maya herself and proceeded towards Raichand Mansion. On reaching the Raichand mansion, they were surprised to hear Pia's voice screaming from inside:"Let me go! I have to finish her off. I have to kill Maithili. I won't rest till I kill her! She has to pay for what she did to me"They also heard Abhay and other Raichands trying to control her saying "Pia, calm down. We all will deal with Maithili together. We will avenge Maya's death together." They were shocked to know that Maya was dead, but then how did the ritual failed. It was Robin who spoke up, "But I can still smell a white witch in there!"

Everyone was confused and decided to seek their answers after going inside. They entered inside and were happy to see Abhay and Pia's son happily playing in Haseena's lap. They were relieved that Maithili's nemesis has arrived in the world safely. While they were still gazing at the baby, Robin's words caught their attention, "How is this possible? How and When did she became a white witch?"

Everyone looked at him in confusion asking him whom he meant when he pointed his finger towards Pia in response and said, "She! She is a white witch now!" Everyone was shocked and wondered how did that happen, but one of the senior most vampires named Sameraaj exclaimed, "Oh! So that explains everything! That explains how and why did the ritual fail"

But the others were still confused, so he proceeded to explain, "It's one of the most ancient and most complicated ancient white witch spells involving both sacrifice as well as revenge. I am surprised that Maya being a new witch could perform this spell, but then I guess may be her powers gave her a premonition about the future and so she mastered the necessary spells."

Abhay and other vampires were growing impatient and not understanding anything, so they exclaimed "Can you explain how Pia became a white witch and how did the ritual fail?" Sameraaj understood their impatience and continued to explain, "Well according to white witch laws, if a white witch dying from a fatal attack uses her remaining powers to save an innocent dying human then her powers get passed on to that human and that human becomes an immortal white witch while the original white witch dies as a normal human. Also, a part of the dying witch soul gets attached to the new witch's soul and so until and unless she avenges the death of the dying witch she can never sit in peace. So that explains the changes in Pia. Maya used her remaining powers to save Pia thus transferring all her powers and a part of her soul to Pia, making her an immortal witch who will never be able to rest till she avenges Maya's death and kills Maithili!"

Everyone was awed at this revelation and Pia herself was shocked to learn about herself. While the Raichands were overcoming this shock, the other vampires asked, "But then how did the ritual fail?"

Sameraaj continued to explain."Because according to the methodology of the ritual, the ritual will be completed only when the sacrificed werewolf and white witch would die completely. Maithili would have never thought of the possibility that Maya could chose to give up her powers while dying and die a normal human, but that's what she did. By transferring her powers completely over to Pia, she became a normal human before dying and so did the blood which Maithili had taken from her. And a normal human blood has no use in the ritual. The white witch whose blood Maithili took, never died, the one who died was a human and that's why the ritual failed."

Every one was awed at the fine lines drawn while writing such rituals and spells by their ancients and the way everything has been carried out. From a few moments back when they thought that they are on the verge of losing the battle with Maithili forever, to now when a simple sacrifice has saved themselves and the world from the dangers that an invincible dark force would have brought. Now their only concern was to find Maithili and finish her off. The werewolves were unlikely to support her now since they had seen her betrayal from their own eyes. Pia was feeling restless and suggested that they go in search of Maithili right away, but the vampire council refused and their leaders tried to make Pia see sense:

"Pia, it is impossible for us to trace Maithili as her black magic helps her hide herself completely. Besides you have only just gained your powers and you don't even know how to use them and channelize them. Going off to meet Maithili in such conditions will be a suicide mission."

Pia: But isn't my blood poison for her?

It was Abhay's turn to snap at her: Are you out of your mind Pia? How can you even think of using yourself as a bait to trap her? I would never allow you to play with your life! And get this thing clear into your head: You and your life belong to me and you have no right to put it into any kind of danger, You got that!!

Pia was touched to see this possessive side of her Abhay. She was overwhelmed and hugged Abhay tightly and he too hugger her tightly and said:"Pia, don't ever think of doing such a thing. I just cannot afford to lose you. You are my life, my sunshine, my everything."

The vampire council had to disturb their moment and said:"Pia, don't try taking on Maithili on your own. Because you don't know how to channelize your powers properly. And none of us can help you in proper training as Maya was the last white witch. We can get you access to all the ancient literature, but it will take you years and years to master control over your powers. And even then, we are not sure if you will be able to match Maithili's combined wiccan and vampiric powers."

Pia: But we can't just sit here and do nothing!

The council: We are afraid Pia, but that's exactly what we will have to do. It would be futile to go in search of Maithili. She will surely hide herself and then attack us from back. And so, we have to wait till she herself comes to us. Till then you can enjoy with your little son and as soon as he turns 2, we will start his training as he is most capable of fighting off Maithili and is immune to all her powers.

Saying that the vampire council left to head back to their centre in Kasauli and for the first time in the hour since his birth, Pia and Abhay diverted their attention to their son, who was now giving them sulky expressions for being lost in their own problems and not paying him any attention. Pia and Abhay gave him sheepish guilty looks and approached him to take him in their arms, but he turned his back towards them showing attitude. They both laughed in shock and began tickling him from his back and he could not stop laughing. The first laughter of their baby was music to both Abhay and Pia's ears. They both hugged him and showered his cheeks with kisses and he too planted his sweet kisses on both their cheeks.

Haseena asked them what they wanted to name him and soon an argument started over what to name him. While Pia wanted to name him Aaditya meaning Sun, Abhay wanted to name him Aadi meaning origin. The little baby was secretly enjoying seeing his parents fight out over such a trivial issue. He was giggling and hiding his face shyly in Haseena's arms, who too was enjoying seeing Abhay like this for the first time. Though Pia had brought happiness in Abhay's gloomy life, but she still had not seen this cute side of him which only a baby can bring out.  She too enjoyed the fight for a few moments with her grandson and then decided to step in with her own suggestion, and said: "May I suggest something? Why don't you two compromise mid-way and name him Aadit meaning Peak as I am sure he is going to scale all peaks of success in both human as well as super natural world."

Abhay and Pia liked the suggestion and so did little Aadit who kissed on Haseena's cheek to show his own approval for his name. Abhay and Pia got busy playing with little Aadit and Haseena and Chand too joined them. Little Aadit was happy to find his loving family back to some normalcy. And Raichands got busy enjoying seeing Aadit do his sweet little naughty things daily
