Chapter 6: Shaun Darshall

There's nothing really useful in the articles that I've read about their company. One of the article says that the Darshall Company were one of the six big companies who helped the prime minister of New Zealand who was attacked by the terrorist three years ago.

Come to think of it. I do remebered the attack three years ago. Kaibigan nang mama ko ang asawa ng prime minister ng New Zealand kaya nung nalaman niyang naatake sila ay kaagad silang tumulong. So except from the Darshall Company, Donquixote's Comapany was also there to help.

Of course, people didn't know that the Darshall company were part of the Underground Society. Almost all of the biggest companies around the word were part of the Underground Society. As long as there is money involved, people are willing to take risks. We all have our darkside afterall.

I clicked the images and there he is, Shaun Darshall, the future heir of the Darshall Company. There's a picture of him with his family. There are four of them. In the left side were his parents and the right side were Shaun and a girl that I don't know. I bet she is Shaun's sister.

I decided to stop searching since there's really nothing important in the articles. I closed my laptop and quickly finished my snacks.

It's already 6:00pm so I decided to take a quick bath.

Pagkatapos kong maligo ay pumunta akong kwarto para kunin ang aking cellphone na nasa maliit na drawer sa gilid ng kama.

As soon as I opened it, my mom and Yugen sent me a message. Binuksan ko muna yung text ni mom.

From: Mom

Are you okay there, sweetie? Did you saw them already? Don't do anything reckless and make sure to keep a low profile. Mahirap na kapag nagkagulo. Take care there.

I smiled when I saw her message. She worries too much but that's the reason why I love her and my dad. I replied.

To: Mom

I'm fine here mom. I already saw them and I know that they're dangerous but I can handle myslef just fine. I'll try my best to hide my identity. Take care there too.

After sending my reply, I opened Yugen's message next.

From: Yugen

Aye, Kei! I'm on my flight already. Can't wait to see you!

Medyo natawa naman ako sa text niya. She's really excited. And I know she also misses the Philippines because she's still a kid when she went here like me.

I replied 'Can't wait too see you too. Dala ka pasalubong ah' pagkatapos ay pinatay ko na ang phone ko at nagsimula nang magbihis.

I just wore a jeans and a hoodie. Sneakers naman ang sinuot kong sapatos since yun ang una kong nakita. I tied my hair into a messy bun. Lumabas na ako nang dorm.

Since it's still dusk, I decided to go to the school's garden which is located at the back part of the school. I went there and as expected there's no students since pagabi na. And I doubt people will go here even if it's morning. Maybe meron pero iilan lang.

Nang malapit na ako sa garden ay wala masyadong ilaw. Iilan lang ang light post na nakasindi. May mga benches din kaya pumunta ako sa isang bench at humiga doon.

I looked at the sky. Pagabi na kaya unti unti nang lumalabas ang mga bituin. I really adore stars. They look so simple yet entertaining to watch.

I was busy fantasizing nang may narinig akong kaluskos. Kaagad akong napaupo sa pagkakahiga. I know the scratches were not made by a cat or whatever animal it is. I'm pretty sure it's a person.

Napatayo naman ako at sinundan kung saan galing ang kaluskos. If you're not aware of your surroundings then you wouldn't hear any scratches.

Napadpad ako sa mas likod na bahagi nang garden kung nasaan ang wall ng school. Di na abot nang ilaw galing sa garden ang lugar na ito pero medyo naaninag ko pa ang isang puno. Sa baba nito ay may tao.

I can't clearly see who is it but the way the person built i'm pretty sure he's a man.

Nakasandal ito sa puno na sa aking paningin ay natutulog. Meron ding panyo sa mukha nito kaya di ko makita ang mukha.

He's sleeping. Akala ko kung ano na. Tinignan ko ang wrist watch ko at nakitang 7:00 na nang gabi.

I didn't know I was staring at the sky for about 30 minutes. Akmang aalis na ako nang biglang may nagsalita.

"What are you doing here?"

Napalingon ako doon sa lalaki. Wala na yung panyo sa kaniyang mukha at nakatingin na ito sa akin.

It's him. Shaun Darshall.

Umayos ito nang upo at iniharap ang katawan sa akin. Nakaupo pa rin ito sa ilalim ng puno.

"I was trying to relax here" sagot ko.

Even thought it's dark and I can rarely see, I know that's he's looking intently at me like he was examining me.

"Didn't you know that the garden and the Headquarters are just exclusive for the S class" imporma niya sa akin. Napakunot naman ang noo ko.

I didn't know. Wala namang nakasulat na ganoon sa rules and guidelines na ibinigay sa akin ng Dean. And Headquarters? Di ko alam na may headquarters pala.

"Headquarters?" I whispered as I asked myself pero narinig ata yon ni Shaun.

Tumayo naman siya at lumakad papalapit sa akin. Huminto siya sa harap ko. Tinuro niya naman yung two storey house na ilang metro ang layo mula sa garden. Tumingin naman ako doon.

"That's our headquarters" saad niya.

Tumingin naman ako muli sa kaniya. "I'm sorry, I didn't know. Di na mauulit"

Kung kanina ay malapit siya, ngayon naman ay mas lumapit pa siya sa akin. Napaatras naman ako dahil masyado siyang malapit.

"What's your name? And what class are you in?" tanong niya.

"I'm Kira Monteverde. C class" sagot ko naman. I saw him slightly nodded.

"Then you're strictly not allowed here. All students know that people from the other class are not allowed to enter the back part of the school but since you're a transeferee and no one told you then I'll give you a chance to go for now" aniya.

"But if I see you here again. I won't show you mercy, Kira Monteverde" he smirked.

He looks more dangerous right now than earlier. Kung normal na estudyante lang ako ay siguro kanina pa ako tumakbo sa takot. But sadly, I'm Keira Donquixote, so that smirk of him won't work on me.

I looked at him one more time before speaking. "Pasensya na talaga. I really don't know. Aalis na ako" pagkasabi non ay kaagad na akong umalis.

Habang papalakad papaalis nang garden ay muli akong tumingin sa likod pero wala na siya doon.

I'm thinking of what happened earlier. Dangerous. He is really dangerous. Even his words are dangerous. Paano nalang kung kumilos na siya? Bigla tuloy akong napaisip. If he's that dangerous then his friends are also dangerous. So this just mean one thing.

I'm dealing with four monsters right now.

But unfortunately, I'm also a monster myslef. Monster vs Monster. I wonder who will win? I can't help but to smirk. This mission will be fun.

The only thing that is stressing me is me keeping a low profile. I wanna be myself right now so I can beat those bitches. I really hate people who are so full of themselves. They're just trash in my eyes. A pitiful and unworthy people.

I didn't noticed that I was already at the cafeteria. Madami nang tao since dinner time na.

I sighed at dumiretso na sa counter para umorder. Don't stress yourself too much, Keira. Nagsisimula pa lang ang misyon mo. Let's just enjoy for now.
