Chapter 3: The Journey to Magmaborne
Flame
Flame left Pine Town and went to Jagged Peak. He began to climb the volcano trail.
After a while he got to the top and was greeted by a Fire Lizolf.
He started sweating, like, a lot. And he smelt the smell of burning fur. "Wow. It sure is hot here," Flame gasped. "That's why it's called Magma.....ma......bor...... sheesh! Hah! IT'S HOT!!!!"
The Fire Lizolf widened his eyes and ran to Flame. "You forget to protect yourself with fireproof armor or a fireproof potion!?" He yelped.
"I......I'll......be fine," The wolf gasped, seeing his fur catch fire.
The Lizolf ran off. "HELP!!!! NEED FIREPROOF!!!!"
Another Fire Lizolf came back with a orangish red potion. "I got it!" This one was female and did not have the impressive horns of a male Lizolf nor the mane.
She shoved the potion in his mouth and forced him to drink it. Once he did, the fire went out and he no longer sweated or anything.
"That was very dangerous. You should never do that again!" She scolded.
"Alright. Yeah. Thanks," Flame replied.
He and the female walked into the Magmaborne Village. The ground was made from hardened magma. Caves were where the citizens slept and where they worked.
"Hey. Where is the merchant's store?" The wolf asked, turning to the female.
"The cave on the left, closest to the front of the village," she answered, pointing.
"That's different from the layout of our village. In our village the healers den is at the den on the left, closest to the front of the village," Flame said.
The female nodded and walked off. "It is for travelers to notice and buy."
Flame nodded. "Makes sense commercially."
He walked toward the merchant store. A male Fire Lizolf was behind a table with goods on it like bottles of lava and magma rocks.
"May I interest you in anything?" The merchant asked.
"I'd like a bottle of lava," The wolf answered.
He nodded and slid the bottle on the table toward him. "That'll be fifteen gold coins."
Flame nodded and handed the money to him.
The merchant took it and put it in a sack behind the table. "Anything else?"
"No thank you," The wolf answered.
"Then have a nice day," the merchant said.
Flame nodded and left to village. Running down the volcano path toward Jagged Peak.
I hope this is enough to unfreeze Lava. He thought.
